Hi Margaret, glad you found the powdered buttermilk! I've been using it now for about two years. What I do to make it easier is just put the powder in with the flour and pour the water in after I mix the two together. It saves time and you don't have to actually mix it in the water. You get the same results.

I’ve been catching up on a lot of your previous broadcasts and I’m afraid I might get fat from watching “Mamaw” make all those fabulous recipes. It’s so refreshing to see folks acknowledge the Lord on any media these days and you folks do it so well. You grace and the planet 🙏♥️😇! I couldn’t wait to bring my smart phone over to my sister in laws house and show her your channel. We ate dinner while we watched you ‘cause we got hungry watching. We love all the chickens and that cutie pie “little missy” collecting the eggs. You guys are great😻 We’re gonna keep on watching, and THANK YOU for all you do including spreading GODS WORD!

Mama isn't what America is all about. This is an ignorant thing to say. She's what mothers and grandmothers around the world are all about. What she does isn't just an American thing. America doesn't have the monopoly on this. The women in my family were no different...and they were immigrants from Eastern Europe. Unless Mamaw is 100% indigenous North American...her people came from somewhere else too. What you said minimises women around the world who take care of their families. Mamaw would probably agree w/ me. Your gun comment is dumb too. Disgraceful of you to thank God for guns. Grow up.

I used to watch my granny make these biscuits but she did them a little bit different. She made a well in the middle of her wooden bowl and then she poured “clabbered” milk (buttermilk that she made from powdered milk) and a little hot grease in it then mix it up by turning the bowl and incorporating it together. She would pinch the biscuits off then roll them and put them on the baking pan. I love your voices and your character. Just found this channel tonight. Such a sweet blessing! God bless you all!

Hello Corey & Mamaw! I'm from West Central Alabama, Tuscaloosa County about 23 miles from the University of Alabama. And my goodness but a lot of ppl sure do love football here! LOL Anyhow, I have to be honest, I may be older than you Mrs. Margaret. I'm 63 this year! I grew up on a little farm about an hour north of here & through my own "adventures" I've ended up on my own little farm but the Lord has blessed me & it's paid for. I've no large family, my only child, a son, lives here & helps take care of me in between his long work hours as a meat cutter & co manager of his meat market. Most days it's at least 10-12 hrs. I am a blessed woman. My mamaws & papaw's are long gone. Daddy died in '02 & Mama went to be w/ him in '17. I have 1 brother, a sister in law & a niece as extended family. Sad to say some difference over politics & religion have caused my brother & I nnot to be as close to one another as I'd like but I believe Love will win over all. Mamaw your cooking by feel just takes me right back home! It's how I learned & how I'd still do a lot more of if my blood pressure & chronic pain would let me. There's nothing better than a meal where most of it came from your garden, is there? Butter beans swimming in the butter they're cooked in, fresh cream style corn, green beans cooked down w/ some bacon, fried okra, cornbread. Oh my yes. What a blessing to sit down to a meal like that!! They can keep their Labor Day BBQ; give me fresh veggies out of the garden!😊 About that coffee gravy, is how you make it to fry up your ham or steak 'o lean then add the coffee & stir it up to pick up the bits of ham grease gravy then split a biscuit & pour it on there? Down here we call it grease gravy or mama & daddy did. Mama also made what we call thickening gravy that had flour in it. It was a lot like gravy from Hardee's but better, you know. Sure wish I was well enough to hatch some chicks or get some pullets. I'd love some fresh brown eggs. Wish I had a nanny goat to milk too. Ppl around here are just crazy for goat cheese & it's pretty easy to make but mercy me, I haven't milked anything in many a year. Got to say 1 last thing. I am very private about my spiritual Path. I can't get a long w/ just 1 set of beliefs, I've had my eyes opened & my heart broken about many things I thought I knew. Anyway, one thing I know for a certain fact, gratitude to the Creator is very important. You know how it is, you mean well & have good intentions but life down here is a busy place. There's children to feed, animals to tend, clothes to clean, the list is endless. And I felt so guilty when I'd remember that I forgot to be thankful. Anyway, I have dogs, have always had dogs, big dogs & they live inside w/ me. They do have business to tend to. Plus I do not sleep much so I'm up at all hours & up at dawn b/c I've mostly not slept. Those things felt like a curse but they were in fact a blessing. My dogs have to go out for the 1st time right at dawn. You know how it is, you walk out & can't help but notice the weather then all those beautiful dawn colors. One day it hit me & I said out loud, "Morning Lord, it's surely a beautiful day you've made." And the days are so beautiful aren't they? It doesn't matter the weather from then on w/ that little prayer, I can remember to start being thankful everyday. Now, I didn't tell you that to get a pat on the back for my devotion. In fact, I'd just as soon remain anonymous but I was told to tell you so that it might help somebody else to remember to rejoice & be glad. Sorry for such a long comment. Thank you very much for sharing your recipes & the love between you & Corey. I'm ready for that cookbook & an apron now. Got my money set aside. If getting a KZread merch store is a problem maybe y'all could sell them over on Etsy. Just a thought. Y'all have a beautiful early fall day & be blessed in all you do. ❤

I have to say those are the best looking biscuits I have ever seen! I mean they are down right pretty! I believe Mamaw would win a cooking contest with those! I'm sure they taste scrumptious! And Corey you are so quiet and kind speaking. I can tell you have Jesus in your heart. Team Jesus all the time! I'm from Michigan, born and raised there. Not far from Hazel Park, Michigan where Pawpaw and Mamaw lived for 3 years. My granddad helped build that Chrysler plant. And another one I believe was in Detroit. I live in Pennsylvania now, about 4 hours from y'all in West Virginia. And that Woman Within catalog is good. They have great clothes that are made very well. God bless you and I'm trying to catch up on all your older videos since I am a new subscriber since last week. 🥰❤️🫂🌺💚🌷🌻🌹💕🐓🐔🐥😘💓👏💐💜💜💜

I just found your channel. I love it. My husband died 21 years ago in my kitchen. I haven’t spent a lot of time in there since. I’m a new grandma now. I want my grandsons to have good memories from my kitchen. So I’m back in the kitchen again. I can tell you, I’ve got to relearn how to cook. It’s not like riding a bicycle. You don’t pick it up where you left off. I’m cooking again, and enjoying watching my children and grandchildren at my table. It’s the best feeling ever. God bless all of you.

I’m 51 now and my grandfather and grandma was both from the ozarks in the forties so they came out to the Bay Area and my grandad opened a auto repair shop in 1960. He had the gas station too out front. He was such a loved Godly man. He died in January at 95. I sure miss him and what he stood for. Good for you and your mamaw. Love a great biscuit. I started using sour cream in my biscuits then, too. My kids, who are now grown, love them best. We cook very much alike. I live in southern WV, too.

I am going to make them when I can get money to get to the store and buy the buttermilk powder. I remember when my mom used to just throw the biscuits together. Just like she could sew a dress without a pattern. I came from a large family we lived off the land gardening fruit trees berries wild rubarb. Thank you for sharing your recipe.
