3 Ingredient Butter Biscuits - Best Biscuit Ever - Bret’s Favorite - The Hillbilly Kitchen.

3 Ingredient Butter Biscuits - Best Biscuit Ever - Bret’s Favorite - The Hillbilly Kitchen.
This is a very simple biscuit recipe, but according to Bret, who was a biscuit eating expert, they are the best biscuit ever. They are light, fluffy, moist, a little flaky and absolutely delicious. These are biscuits that will make your Granny proud.
Reporter Shannon Smith from WBIR Channel 10 in Knoxville joined me in the kitchen today and videoed my first television interview while we were making biscuits. Her interview will air Wednesday March 30, 2022. We will share a link on the community page when it airs.
I share several tips and techniques in this video to help you make perfect biscuits. However, the best advice I can give you is to make biscuits. The more you make them the better you will get at it.
Remember to put God first! :)
Ephesians 4:32 - And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Ingredients:
2 cups Self-Rising Flour
3/4 cup Milk
¼ cup Butter

I’ve tried so many times to replicate my Mom’s biscuits. I’ve made some that weren’t bad, but they also weren’t hers. Flour, lard, buttermilk. She never measured, but it always made exactly 12 biscuits that fit perfectly in her biscuit pan. She was taught at the age of 5 and that was her job in my grandma’s kitchen when she was growing up. I sure do miss my mom.

My 3 year old granddaughter and I made this biscuit recipe. They were the best I’ve ever had. More so, I wanted to share with you something special in my heart. God has truly blessed us with your mission field. My granddaughter has a rare neurological speech disorder. She has minimal verbal communication, and attends four therapy sessions per week. Her disorder affects her ability to eat, and even smile. She uses a speech device to help her communicate. She will never recover from this disorder and will need lifelong therapy. She has absolutely fallen in love with your videos. We have been cooking together, and this special time allows me to work with her speech homework while she learns how to cook. She has been learning more sounds, and putting them together. The most special blessing is watching her smile. Your ministry has a far reach. Thank you! God has a beautiful purpose and plan for my granddaughter’s life. We can’t wait to discover what He has planned for her. You are a beautiful, Godly example of trusting God to navigate us through our journey. I pray God continues to bless you, and your family.

"I don't know any old women who do that" is classic. Keep tradition alive. Tradition is the things that work. And let me say, Becky, that the last biscuit (which I call the "runt") can be stuffed into your cookie cutter or whatever and made into the same shape as the earlier ones and you don't need to do your excellent job of shaping it perfectly while saying you can't :-)

My mother used to talk about how her mother made fresh biscuits every morning (mostly for their Dad), and she said that "Mom never used a measuring cup or spoons, just knew how much of each ingredient to add, by eye". They had one of those "Hoosier" cabinets that were common in kitchens back then. Where the upper cabinet had a door with a canister behind it, that you dumped your 25 lb. (or more?) bag of flour in, and under the cabinet, was a handle, that you cranked and put your bowl under, and the flour would dispense. She said her mom would give it a few turns, knowing just how much flour she needed for the biscuits. My grandfather had biscuits, eggs and bacon every morning for breakfast. They lived in SW PA, but both grandma and grandpap were from Tennessee.

My sister had two 8 cup bowls with lids. She wasn't strong enough to get the lids off, so she gave them to me, and I was so thankful. My mom cut the biscuits with a lemon can. There aren't lemon cans anymore, and the final scraps were made into a rough little biscuit that was "fought" over.

This by far the best biscuit recipe I've ever seen. They are light, fluffy, and have a great flavor. If you don't have self rising flour, all purpose flour, three teaspoons of baking powder and a TSP of salt will do. I always wind up a biscuit shy (I'm a dough eater!).

Yummy looking biscuits. I'm going to save this so I can make some later. Less ingredients the better for me. This is great as you'll get more people to watch your wonderful channel and recipes. She is quite interested in watching what you're doing. Thanks. Hugs 😇 🤗

God Bless you Becky! Those biscuits look amazing! I do have a question though, where I live they don't sell White Lily flour, I just have all purpose flour. I've heard you can add baking powder to the flour and get the same effect. Just wondering how much you should add to the flour? Thanks for sharing your delicious recipes with us, and sharing God's word. 🥰

Amen. I am so glad I found you. I have been watching you since 1 a.m.. it's now 6:10 a.m. I too lost my husband. I lost my Warren in 2020, 8/15. I miss him so much. He lived to eat my food. He was raised in Miami so my biscuit's and gravy, smoothered chicken, pork chops, Mac and cheese, candied yams blew his mind. I had him lock stock and Barrel 😀😀😀. Again I am so glad I found your channel. Continued Blessings to you and yours 🌹🙏

Thank you for sharing your recipes and sharing the love of God! I found you a couple of months ago and have been following you. You never fail to put a smile on my face. God bless you! By the way, my mom and my grandma always called the leftover biscuit the 'cat head biscuit'. They were from Salem/ Boone's Creek, South Carolina.

BECKY!!! I have that exact Currier and Ives plate! Actually I have 8 place settings, plates, bowls, cups and saucers, serving bowls, sugar& creamer containers, s&p shakers. They are my most prized set of dishes bcuz of the precious memories that they hold ☺️ They were my favorite grandma’s. She said they came in boxes of laundry soap, different ones each time. It was kind of like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’ll get 😁 Thank you for this recipe! I’m going to try my hand at these. I’m also going to buy your cookbook. You’re one of my favorite KZreadr’s ever! You bring me such peace whenever I listen to you. That’s God! God bless you and have a wonderful day 💕
