2 Ingredient Biscuits Recipe
2 CUPS SELF-RISING FLOUR (WHITE LILY)
2/3 -3/4 HEAVY WHIPPING CREAM
Note: You may not need all the cream. Place flour in a medium size bowl. Add whipping cream a little at a time until all flour is incorporated into dough. The mix should be thick and not wet. Use sifter with self-rising flour and flour counter surface. Place dough out onto floured surface. Sift flour onto top of dough. Use your hands and turn the biscuit dough 7-10 times folding it over and over. Pat to height of biscuit cutter (3/4 to 1” high) cut out biscuits place in well-greased pan (I use an iron skillet or 11x7 aluminum brownie pan) Bake at 450 degrees until golden brown. Approx. 20 minutes. Flip biscuits upside down when removing them from oven to keep from sweating on bottom. The biscuit cutter in the tutorial is a 2" diameter biscuit cutter.

I watch lots of your videos. Definitely going to try the 3 ingredient biscuits…or was it 2. Anyway, you say you won’t give a shout-out unless someone has at least 100 videos. It seems like you could help someone get started by giving them a shout-out and telling your audience that they are new and you are helping them get started. That way, you help but people know they are new. Don’t worry. I’m not saying that for anyone…just a thought to help others. At 77, I sure don’t plan to start a cooking channel. Keep on, keeping on and give ALL praise to God.

I'm almost 70, and I have never seen whole milk buttermilk in any store where I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, or anywhere else I've shopped, for that matter. They don't even put ""nonfat" on the carton, except on the fine print; the nutritional breakdown.. It's like; "who would expect anything different?" It's always been that way here. There are no dairies around here anymore, either. I thought they couldn't make it for some reason, like it doesn't work, or it's not good. I sure would like to try that!! I bet it's delicious.

Whole buttermilk is 4% butterfat. Heavy cream is 38% butterfat. If you don’t put butter or shortening in the buttermilk biscuits you will have to feed them to the birds.

  • @katillac11

I'm sure both the buttermilk biscuits and the whipping cream biscuits are good, but when you were comparing the amount of fat in the buttermilk versus your heavy cream the serving size for the cream was 1 tablespoon serving. What was the serving size on your buttermilk container? I'll bet it was more than one tablespoon.

Taking fat out causes nutritional changes. I haven’t noticed any difference in weight or physical feelings since drinking and using only whole milk. My mother learned bread making from her grandmother from Ireland. She saved all bacon drippings and when she made bread or biscuits she would brush the top with the bacon grease then cover with a cotton tea towel . It smelled so good and taste great. She made and sold to neighbors who would ask her to make for them too.

They just put the shortening in and started working the milk into the flour and came up with a big ball of dough and then started pinching off the biscuits one by one, putting them in a and pie pan, in the oven and in a whole lot of mouths.😂😂😂

Some fast food restaurants actually deep fry their bacon. It's different. And if you get the Kiss nails that aren't press on (sticky) you can just super glue them on. They last about a week.

I only use microwave bacon…I cook it crispy and it’s totally dry! That’s the only way I can eat it. If it has any grease, I won’t eat it.

Our area has stopped selling full-fat buttermilk which irritates me to no end! Thanks for introducing me to White Lilly flour, its pricey cause our stores don't carry it. Thanks Tammy & Chris🙂

I love the way you make gravy. Just like my momma always said, "Make sure the flower is fully cooked brown before you put the milk in there".

Try cottage cheese, instead of milk in your scrambled eggs. Adds protein, and adds a beautiful fluffiness to them! Thank you for ALL you two do!

I add milk to my scrambled eggs and I mostly cook them in the microwave. I like my eggs real dry! For my white gravy I use bacon fat to mix with my flour. Then add whole milk to thicken. Then I will add warm water as needed to continue thickening. Both those biscuits look so good! I always use my Crisco butter flavored shortening in my biscuits and dumplings.

Yes. Our Parents did add milk to eggs to make them go further. My Mother used Carnation Instant Powdered milk and sometimes Fed Gov Powdered eggs and Powdered milk when times were hard. And no! We six kids did not like the piwdered eggs nor the Powdered milk!

My mom did the same thing. I think using some powdered eggs along with real eggs would have been more palitable.

Hi Tammy my grandmother made biscuits with flour and whole buttermilk and brushed them with melted lard on top so they would not crumble when cold!
