If you don't like sweet pickles, do what I do. Put dark brown sugar in it. It gives it a depth...... that little "sumthin', sumthin'" that you can't quite put your finger on.

My mom mashed her potatoes and she also put celery in as well. She has passed away, but I miss her potato salad and her butterscotch pie so much, she made the best of each.

Love your recipes Tammy - but no egg in the Potato Salad please. I know it is a southern thing, grew up in the South; my Momma and Nan always made me my own batch of potato salad without the egg. Just not a fan of it - quirky I know. Keeping doing more videos - love to watch them.

We use softer potatoes and sweet relish. I also chop celery and use Dukes mayo and have never put sweet peppers in mine. I might give it a try next time. 😊

I just bought all of your cookbooks about 2 months ago and I absolutely love them. They are perfect. The pages are such high-quality material, and the print is fantastic. I love the larger print. I am almost legally blind, and I can see the print without having to use a magnifying glass along with my glasses. I also love the spiral binder on them. This is what I call the perfect cookbook with the perfect recipes. I am waiting anxiously for the next one!

I’ve never known how to make bbq chicken. Some recipes have you marinate the chicken in bbq sauce. Your way seems easier. Does it have a strong bbq taste? Thanks so much!

Hi Tammy & Chris! We celebrated Memorial Day with grilled chicken leg quarters with BBQ sauce, potato salad, baked beans , and, chunked up zucchini and yellow summer squash sautéed together with chopped onions and a generous splash of Rotel (mild). A pound cake, brownies and ice cream were desset. Glad to see Chris and his BBQ grill! He did such an awesome job of designing and building that grill! Thanks for another video, y'all ! 🌞

My grandma and my Mom shook up mayo, mustard, mustard, probably a quarter cup of sugar, then half and half of and a splash of vinegar, then shook it up in a jar. It was the same dressing for coleslaw, macaroni salad too. It makes a bit of a more moist salad. And I love sweet pickle relish.

Tammy I heard you say you boild your eggs for 12 min. I personally use the 8-5-10 min and my eggs turn out perfectly easy to peel etc..boil for 8 min exactly...let set in hot water for 5 min off the burner or eye...drain the run cold water with ice let set for 10 min....then peel no cracking or anything

I like to mash the potatoes some after I make the salad. I also use sweet pickle relish, mayonnaise, chopped hard boiled eggs, green onions, yellow mustard, dried tarragon leaves, s & p. I will try a little sugar next time and maybe a little vinegar. We love potato salad and I think I will make some tomorrow. I use red potatoes but I will try russets.

I was raised, and now, my family is still raised with potato salad on the softer side. I do not like them to be firm. I like them the way your mama made them. Some chunked up ones and some softer ones. I was raised with our potatoes on the softer side

✍Hello Tammy and Chris and fur babies 🐾🐾🐾🐾 I should have waited to make my potato salad till I watched your video cause mine didn't turn out so good.I think I put too much dill pickle juice in my potato salad. I had my Bladder surgery Friday and I'm feeling kind of rough today and nothing tastes good. I even made Sloppy Joes yesterday and they didn't taste right either. I probably should have waited a few more days till I was feeling better to do some cooking. Oh good your "professional" camera man is now doing your video...ha ha ha !! I love potato salad like what you made today. Like I said I should have waited to watch you cook today or checked your recipe in your cookbook for the recipe. Hope You guys are enjoying the holiday 🇺🇸 God Bless LuvYa! Bye from Ohio🌹
