I'm an older white guy in Washington State but I'm watching with restrained hope as DeSantis fights cultural pathology. I love the values Florida is exemplifying in a country that is decaying so rapidly. The politicized compassion and virtue signaling and the intolerance for dissenting views is profoundly undermining our cultural strength and future safety. I cried as I heard her story - one where she has earned her way and deserves the respect and honor as a leader in our society. The issue of respect in race is also one where - telling people who don't earn their way and that they should be given advantages because of their heritage is racist and degrading. I wish her and her family an enduring legacy as she stands for justice, even as our sick culture is bound to condemn her. I also hope and pray DeSantis consider the hour and the need of leadership in our country no different than he is displaying in Florida. May God help Judge Francis.

@@HollywoodScoob Are you sure about that? Not every Judge are 'elected' and many are 'appointed'. It varies State to State, and also for the level of the Court (lower level Municipal and Superior vs. Appellate vs. Supreme). Sometimes a 'vacancy' occurs, which causes a unique situation where someone from the 'Executive branch' can fill that position by, 'an appointment'. If DeSantis can't 'appoint' this Judge, then why does the headline from this news outlet say so? If I had to pick who I believe is more competent, DeSantis or you Scooby Doo, I'd choose the Gov. duh!

We need more politicians to back DeSantis, men and women that aren't afraid to stand up to the tyranny that we have in power now. Wake up America, get these same old politicians out of office. We need new leaders that care about this country and will work for us.

Shouldn't immigrants love the country they take refuge in - especially if it gives them opportunities to excel at whatever they have ability in, from the simple to the complex? I'm a carpenter/builder and could never be a judge or scientist or artist etc., but here I have opportunity to be the good at what I am able to do with my own skills.
