Sadly left turn was wrong . He probably didn't see car or flashing lights. Shame. Hope cop recovers
That is a lot of SPEED by the deputy.

That's two killed this week I think that poor mom on her bicycle.
What ever happened to pulling over to the side of the road for emergency vehicles, lots of vehicles just stop in the road now instead of pulling over? Next time your in traffic when an ambulance is going by watch how many people just stop or if they pull over.

@@robert48044 that doesn’t happen in south Florida… literally the don’t care, I am so used to pulling over that it gets me so mad when I see cars in the middle of the road

lmfao.. oh the stupid comments
Older drivers failure to yield is a huge concern. If he couldn't hear or see lights & sirens, he's definitely not seeing a motorcycle. A coworker who lived in Boynton Beach previously told us the older drivers there would count to 10 and pull out. Sad for the man & his family. For families wrestling with the decision of taking the keys from Gramps or Grammy, use this example.
80 year old making left turn pulls in front of cop car with lights and siren.

always a stupid comment.. it dont matter , when a car is going 80 mph you cant judge it no matter what age
It's the officer's responsibility to make sure it's clear before proceeding, especially with lights activated.

And the old man is responsible that he can see and be aware of his surroundings which he was not. How can you miss seeing flashing lights on a vehicle????

The officers responsible for cross traffic ONLY AT INTERSECTIONS. He cannot be responsible for anybody pulling out in front him when he has the right of way. I feel for both parties involved.
Read these comments on the negative side and you will see what's wrong with this country!
You'll only know anything after the cover-up.......
i understand about emergency but even the cops need to be aware when in traffic which most are not
Here when there is an emergency all traffic lights stay red. Perhaps this would have saved the old mans life. Sad day after 80 yrs. God bless his soul & family.
Horrible,,,,
Medicare just saved over 100K from this... The elderly around here are sadly often unaware of their surroundings and cause accidents.
I don't know.....maybe the 80 yr old should get his kids to drive or better yet, call an Uber....

Thank God the cost of living is skyrocketing here in Florida. We just may see the exodus of older people who "thought" they could retire here....comfortably.....
Old ppl CANNOT MAKE LEFT TURNS!! 🙄
he wasn't on his way to an emergency that's a bunch of bs,the bso are always speeding.

Obviously the 80 year old misjudged the cops distance or didn't see him at all. The speed of the cop has a lot to do with this accident.

Why?! The car had emergency lights and sirens, the other driver should have waited and let the deputy car go, it is the law … but ok we are just going to blame others … 🙄

Elderly folks in Florida do not know how to drive. They will turn in front of you, they will run red lights, they will run stop signs like they can't see anything. Take away their license because they're a menace on the road.

Why? Think about your answer before you answer. This was a tragic accident caused by the inattention of an elderly man.

Old people are really hard of hearing he didn't hear the emergency siren going. And Florida's roads are long and flat that's why the crashes are so bad. In areas where the roads are slightly curvy you can't quite go as fast. I would never retire to that state. You would have to drive a Humvee or an armored vehicle around.
A retirement Utopia wouldn't be so heavily riddled with Brian that there's police all over the place constantly speeding to get the crimes. You don't see this going on in Russia videos of that see you rarely hear any police siren at all.
