Such a tragedy. The young man wasn't a typical college football player, either. Worked full-time at a grocery store and was literally a walk-on in college football. He would have been an inspiration to other young men who were overlooked for a sports scholarship. At least he signed his contract in May, so the money will help his family. My condolences to all who loved him.

Signing his contract means nothing. I've seen estimates from trained professionals of between 140 and 180 mph for the Charger. Those things are built like tanks, an 80 mph crash is nothing for them.

Speed crash is always deadly. Drive slow and if you crash, you have more chances of survival and minimal damage. People just don’t have sense.

No. This was not a race. The girl switched lanes at high rate of speed and hid the car, which hit another car and then three tree stumps. Chargers are terribly built vehicles. Not racing.

Bro i tell people if you are going to street race and you pushing over 600hp at the tire make sure you at lease have a wide meaty tire in the rear, you should see those skinny as tire that come on a 5.0, and people wonder why the end up fishtailing across the highway,l... Smh.. But rip

They were on the highway. You cannot drive below the minimum speed. Sounds like the lady switching lanes caused it.

I hope we get more information as modern cars are pretty strong when driving at normal speeds. The front 'appears' (could not see a full picture) intact so what contributed to the death of the driver and front passenger?

That driver who hit them should never have a license again. It’s always the ones not driving get hurt and the one driving under the influence lives 😩😟😫🤦‍♀️🤮

@@rcsmith8402 they were all drunk.. they are all friends.. they went bowling together then went to a bar not too far from the crash site. They raced. 3 women vs 3 men.

Right? And the fact they were on their way to a 3 a.m. sermon at their local church makes it even more tragic.

To be honest, this is my first time I watched a news video from NBC. And it was an NFL player who was just drafted, gone in a tragic accident. I'm sorry for him, his family and the two other guys that died as well

Just been in a major accident, a tractor trailer winded our camping trailer on a highway. Thank the Gods we were fairly slow, but after fishtailing we could not correct it and after 180 spin we flipped over then the trailer. Those few seconds as we witnessed on the dash camera felt like a long time. RIP young men. So sorry for the families who have to deal with this. How hard is not to drink and drive.

This is devastating, they truly deserve to be in Heaven, rest in peace young men
