For real, and women will say that men are picky and judgmental…sure we won’t date just anyone (well actually sadly with how well women have monopolized modern dating some men WILL date anyone and just thank their lucky stars a living breathing woman expressed some interest in them…) but at least we don’t disqualify women for ridiculous things like height, hair, job, etc. women like these are doing guys a huge favor by exposing themselves as shallow narcissists early on.

Heh, yet even a life of pristine and integrity comes at a Cost. It doesn't always mean its the right thing to be, do or choose because life is funny. Take it from me, having built a life and becoming a pillar to the community people perceive me as too serious, too proper, strict, and that i am unwavering, and indeed its all true, but i appear as a wall they cannot scale or breach and dont even attempt to to just know me casually because i intimidate them. Its a loney life, and i envy those who never needed to fight so damn hard because life turned out differently for them, or that perhaps they lack so much self awareness that they feel no shame to just let it all hang out. I care too much about how i am perceived and being a good person has given me less and less. And i fear if i broke free from this, that i would be that one stupid shit to whom luck gives no favor, and whatever i do beyond myself will blow up in my face. Because it has before. So take it from, some things no matter how positive it may be known as in the minds of society, life will fk us over regardless. Its all artificial concepts anyway, and life doesnt give a damn how good or bad we are. Only that our stupidity sees us successful or dead, its all a roll of the dice.

@@melon9680 my friend seek your god, we don't live in integrity because we expect to get good things comes to us, we do it because the alternative is bad. If you are being a pillar and expecting good things to come, look into yourself and rethink your standing. Being good is hard, and its not about doing it so you can get back in return. If you are getting less and less perhaps it is not the best way to be good.... as for your final point "Its all an artificial concepts" or... perhaps... Its all real. Life doesnt care if we are good or bad, but your soul will. When you decide to be good, to be strong, dangerous but disciplined your soul, your being will be different. It is only from this position of good that we can make some incredible constructive progress in our own lives and in our society. Our life is short and it easy to think that it don't matter what we do,... but it does because you have to look at how rare life is, and see it as a gift not the just the burden, as the burden of life itself is a gift from the cosmo. To experience good and bad, to experience life.

@paulinejackson5861 no real self-respecting man or woman would put up with their partner not committing to them fully, and thus they will not tolerate themselves committing to their partner fully. A good marriage is not 50/50 it's 100% from both side. If you choose to be with that person, you must help with the redemptions of his failures and he should do the same for you. To exploit your partners insecurely for a hope of finding another and better partner is just unreasonable. Why not leave, save the person the cut of the betraying knife.

However, it would make a lot of sense that a life situation in which this is the case for a sizeable amount of men is fairly common. Common enough for it to seem like the norm. As for why, I have no idea, my personal theory is that men tried being superficial for the centuries that have passed and it went predictably badly over time. There's too many stories and things that I've personally experienced where women turn down guys and then when he makes bank they back pedal like "maybe I made a mistake." I saw a woman in the comments saying something along the lines of "maybe women don't wanna be with a bum" and my first thought was a guy doesn't need to be fuckin' rich to be well off. There's a reason why a woman wants a man with 3 Lamborghinis, two swimming pools and a mansion instead of a guy that has an okay car, a nice small home with an inflatable pool that he got from Walmart. Cause most Women are materialistic and all about status and she feels like being with a rich guy raises her status too and it makes her feel special or she just might divorce him and take most of what he owns for herself.

For story 14, i felt that. I'm a guy but i have a similar story. I had a best friend for many of my school years. We had split apart for a while but during senior year we were being freindly to eachother like in the old days. I had developed feelings for her and i didn't say anything or go anyfurther with them. I didn't want to ruin our friendship and thought it was too later. I also wasn't sure if she had feelings for me and didn't want to make the same mistake i did with my first crush (long hateful story). I now realized that she did have feelings when we were younger and might have still. It has been 4 years and i'm still kicking myself you that mistake (among others). Even though i regret that mistake i wouldn't change it'l, because i don't think i deserve her.

Was best friends with the most amazing guy for over a year, and knew I loved everything about him, and could see that there was an attraction he had building towards me as well. Eventually he asked me to be his girlfriend, and I told him no. It was the most heartbreaking thing in the world to do, but I explained to him that while I wanted to date him, I wouldn't be a good girlfriend at the time. I was dealing with a ton of un-addressed trauma, fighting chronic illness, trying to finish my last semester of college, and was dealing with some seriously messy family issues. We stayed close and I did a lot of work on myself over the course of that year, graduated, finally found a solid treatment for my chronic illness, and got things sorted with family. Ended up telling him I was still in love with him, but would completely understand if he felt differently after all the time that had passed, and I was just thankful for his being in my life and would respect whatever he wanted fully. We met for breakfast the next day, and turns out he'd never stopped thinking about me either. We've been together for 7 years now and just got married last year. Glad I said no the first time, as hard as it was: I was in no mental place to give him everything that he deserved and it wasn't his job to "fix" me. We were still the right ones for each other after those months of healing and waiting, and I think our relationship started in a much healthier place because of my choice.

My son hates the concept of relationships because he has had a lot of rejections. He just shuts down at the thought of it. Friend zoning is a horrible thing for men to go through. It makes a lot of men turned off to the idea of a relationship that they would rather be alone or have a dog. I can't say on levels I blame them. I can't say I blame my son either, and he's going to turn 27 very soon. He used to be fit and let himself go really badly. Like he gained over 120 pounds and doesn't care anymore and it breaks my heart as a mom. He's such a sweetheart to women and is always willing to help out in anyone's life regardless of the issue. Now, he just smokes E Cigs a lot and cries himself to sleep at times. I act like I don't hear it but it hurts me too. I pray to God that someone will see him as more than a friend but honestly, I don't know. It's sooooo different from when I dated and that was thirty years ago. Maybe he is right. Maybe his generation is destined to fail due to social media. God help us.

These are a bit weird in the sense that most of them regret not being with a guy while being a relationship, isn’t that what you are suppose to do? Be loyal? I feel like I would be more proud about that, than regretting not dating some random girl. People are wild man.

Ok imma guy but I have a story for this one. In preschool I met this girl. We'll call her Zoey (not here real name). We became pretty good friends. Best friends in fact. We lived on the same road so we rode the same bus and on field trips we were always partners. We both we're on the academic team and soccer teams (even tho I hate soccer i played because she loved it). Everyone new I had a huge crush on her but I never thought she looked at me as more than a friend. The older we got the more we drifted apart and found new friend groups but still talked here and there. Senior year of high school I got into my first fight defending my best friend who had just came back to school after a four-wheeler accident and was paralyzed. I ended up getting arrested by school security and the dude's parents wanted to press charges cause I threw him down a flight of stairs. Anyways, Zoey wanted to know what exactly happened so she was talking to my homie and ended up admitting she had a crush on me. After a 2 month suspension, community service, and house arrest I came back for the last 3 weeks for graduation. She caught me in the hallway and we talked for a few hours leading to her asking me out. In my head I was thinking "we've known each other since preschool and you knew I had a crush on you but you friend zoned me for 13yrs? Nah" so I turned her down in front of her friends and my friends. Everyone was completely in shock cause she was one of the hottest girls in school and I'm just your average looking guy. She ended up blocking me on everything fb, snap, ig, even Xbox lol. 5 years later and she's even hotter, makes 6 figures, and travels across the country living her best life. She's still single and I've tried to talk to her and apologize but she has never opened any of my messages. Talk about a royal fuck up🤦🏻‍♂️

Why? She realised she made a mistake, and admits it to us and to him. She doesn't sound like a bad person, and doesn't seem to be entitled (anymore at least). So why do you wish her to fail or be unhappy?

@@99batran She told him no years ago, and yes she distanced herself from him for years. Recently, they got close again. So no, she did not "put him through this over the course of years", like for example she would let him hope and give him false signals for years. She told him no, and he could have moved on. Maybe he has for all we know, and then he'll say no. If he's still interested he'll say yes and good for them. If he has moved on and say no, she'll also have to move on, that's life. But I'm certainly not wishing any of them to be unhappy, because in this story I don't see a bad person on either side, just complicated choices and life getting in the way.

@@leovk5779 Ofc but they are probably not best for eachother in this scenario. Don't forget she mentioned she avoided him whenever he tried to approach. Dunno how long he tried but from the way it's worded it's over the course of a long time. He probably did start a new life at this point so he shouldn't go back for her if seeing her makes him feel trauma or ache

@@99batran True. They might not be made for each other, and in addition to what you said, she felt he was a player and she didn't want to just be his next conquest, so if he's still like that it might not work out. Still, I feel the original comment was not for the intention "I hope he says no, because they are not good for each other", but more "I hope he says no, cause she doesn't deserve to be with him or deserve to be happy." I may be wrong though, I've seen many comments here in the style 'those woman are so superficial, they deserve to be unhappy to pay for that one mistake" that I might see everything darker than it is XD

Bruh, in HS I was hella smitten with this one girl. I was pretty direct as I am on the spectrum. I directly asked her out. She kept playing coy and would be real touchy with me. Those moments with her really recharged my affection for her. Her excuse for not dating me was that she was saving herself for after HS. My friend group and her friend's group was really close... turns out they all were having sex and all kinds of fun. The inside joke was that I was 😐 oblivious. I will admit it was impossible at the time to understand subtle cues. One day, I was passing notes for the friends group when I connected the dots... They all admitted they all had sex like 16 times, and they thought it was "cute" that I was oblivious. I still feel that epic embarrassment to this day. I quit the group, and after HS ended up going to prison for 9 years. Near the end of my sentence, she started writing me. She had a set of twins a little girl and was 3 abortions deep. She sent me hot nude pics and I considered ef zoning her. She thought I was going to setup her address for my release to live with her... instead I secretly set my ma's address. When I got out she was there... bruh... I couldn't believe my eyes. She was *OBESE* . Not thicc, not BBW, she was full blown wake apnea, medical shoe clad in a matching mumuu. I told her directly that I never intended to live with her. I only wanted to eff but seeing her in that condition I mentioned that i couldn't even ef cuz she was so obese it wouldn't be enjoyable for me. She called me a pos and a jerk. I since then started a few companies and am doing well enough to be seen and visible in my home town... She still called me after 10 years into my release wondering if she lost the weight would I reconsider... After declining, I thanked her for teaching me how rewarding it was to be a jerk to women. I was fresh out and eye candy to everyone. I started an eff buddy situationship with this 19 year old in 2022 when the lockdowns eased up. The last time I came over she told me to come straight to her room because her mom is over. She said her mom was depressed because her latest boyfriend cheated on her, she was broke/ homeless and needed a place to stay so she was on the couch. The apartment was already hella tiny. I came over like planned and was shuffling past the sofa... when I heard my name... her mom was my HS crush! Bruh, my heart started racing and I just pretended to not recognize her and apologized for waking her. Me and her daughter were doing the nasty when i noticed a weird shadow under the door... her fat ass was watching us from under the effing door! I stopped and told my homegirl that I saw her mom watching us, and she went ballistic. She bolted out there wrapped in a bedsheet to confront her mom, but her mom was a weaping balling mess. Describing her as "ugly crying" was an understatement. Her mom gave some cliff notes on our connection. Then she turned to me and was screaming, "Why couldn't you love ME!" Well, to conclude... it's been a year and a half since we ended our fun friendship. Good news is her mom used that rock bottom landing to motivate her to hitting the gym and is now employed at a really good job. A few more lbs to go and she'll be on the healthier side of thicc again 😭😭😭
