I completely misread how Ghyrson worked. I thought that he changed 1 damage into 2 damage, not adding 2!😯 Syr Carah the Bold could get some sweet card advantage in this deck too

Mhm! I love this card! And, the deck can be built for potentially pennies to the dollar. So good! Yup! She's definitely a good addition to Ghyrson decks.

That Locust God combo is sick! You could definitely build a really nasty 1/1 token creature (goblins? devils?) deck with this commander. I decided to go a different route, personally, with a spellslingers theme and all of the "each opponent" pingers. Plus a handful of cards to copy Ghyrson to double and triple up on the +2 damage. Side note: are there any cards that prevent 1 damage globally to help Ghyrson go infinite by himself? I feel like there's a card for everything in magic, but I can't seem to find anything like that.

What is the the Locust god combo

Got some fun tech for this deck as I did a test play with proxies with a playgroup Consider Sigil of Sleep U Aura Enchantment Enchant creature Whenever Enchanted Creature deals damage to a player, return a creature that player controls to its owner's hand

It's not a combo; it's just a way to be able to use it twice before it getting sacrificed. Since its sacrifice trigger is a delayed trigger, if you activate it at the beginning of an end step, that trigger window has already passed so it can't get sacrificed there. It would need to be sacrificed at the beginning of the NEXT end step. So if you activate it at the beginning of the turn before yours, you can sink all your mana into it then, and when you untap and take your turn, you can once again sink your mana into it before it gets sacrificed at your end step.

@@moedark4390 It works this way precisely because of doing it after the trigger has a chance to happen. I’ve confirmed it with judges but you can do so as well, if you like.

You should do a video on Chromium the Mutable, have been brewing with him and would love to see your take on him

Hm, I don't think I'll ever get to doing content on past commanders especially considering the avalanche of product lately. Dominaria United, Street Fighter 2, Warhammer40,000, and Unfinity were practically all one after the other.

Sigil of Sleep isn't bad but I'd rather kill creatures than bounce them.

ya know, now that i think about it. rocket launchers aren't really all that prevelent in warhammer, like to a shocking degree

A lot of cards you propose are so expensive i' mana cost ! I'm not sure it's enough quick for this match up.

What do you mean? The average CMC of the deck is 2.85; literally 51 cards are of CMC 3 or less. And even then, only 7 cards are CMC 4. Having 7 cards that are 6CMC and only 1 card that's 7CMC is more than suitable in a commander deck.

@@TheCommanderTavern Ok man, yes balanced. I'm a french player and i play and see Ghysron as a commander with a very low curve. My highest mana values are Fury and Hell rider. I use very cheap synergies to kill as quick as i can. Voilà ! Bye

@@MatDurrant777 Yup, I updated the list after a bit of tinkering. You can still swap it back in if you prefer it.

Just remember that pinging yourself with fetch lands means you will hurt yourself too with 3 dmg instead of 1 as your commander doesnt specify dmg done to opponents and its not a may trigger

Fortunately, that is NOT the case. The fetchlands don't deal damage; you pay 1 life to activate them. Ghyrson only triggers whenever a player or creatures is DEALT exactly 1 DAMAGE. While damage is life loss, life loss is not damage. So things like paying life to Necropotence, literally losing 1 life, etc. will not trigger Ghyrson. Hope that helps!

However, if you ping yourself with the talismans or painlands (Talisman of Creativity or Shivan Reef, for example) that WILL trigger Ghyrson and you'll take an additional 2 damage from him. Which is why it's worth giving him lifelink and avoiding effects that deal DAMAGE to you. But losing life is okay.

@@TheSpiritombsableye Yeah, I always put the link to the decklist in the description. Sometimes I update the deck lists when I have the time in case any further testing has me make any changes. But for the most part, the lists are always there.
