It was the Swedish equivalent "Grammis" that was awarded for Ghost's album "Meliora" and they performed "He Is" at the event

I've been ignoring Ghost. I'm a fool. Thanks for covering them here. My eyes and ears are on a trek down Ghost's full catalog 😅

Ghost had this one resting for quite at time to release it on an album where it belonged. I love that they are so meticulous with the structure of their (or Tobias) albums. In this case it fitted the Meliora album. Great reaction!

This song and video are amazing. What's even better about this song is Ghost played it live at the Grammys years ago and the crowd had no idea what was happening. Ghost ended up winning the grammy for Cirice that year I believe and their acceptance speech was also hilarious due to the crowd still being confused.

Ghost are Amanzing! Love the singles, but i recommend you check out a Early Stuff, the First Album Is Really really Good, songs like Ritual, Stand by Him and Elizabeth are a great introduction to Old Ghost era.

My favourite Ghost song. Though the video is a parody about evangelicals, the inspiration came after a fellow musician and friend died. He had this tune lying unfinished when the friend died, and there it was.

There’s so much lore to ghost too. The whole band is Tobias and he plays all the different lead singers in different masks. They uploaded a mini KZread series of funny videos for lore too

Yep, good song...but not my favorite from Ghost. I would really like to see a reaction from David for a live version of "Year Zero". Tobias is a superb composer, and he has a really good voice. Ghost reminds me a lot of my early metal days of the 70's....great melodic and theatrical songs....but then I don't take the whole satanic thing seriously. Great reaction and breakdown David, enjoyable viewpoint.

Live this should be interesting. Their only professionally shot concert video is Mary on a Cross and it is far better than the studio version. One of the hookiest catchy songs ever. Can only hope they have a full concert DVD in the works.

I talked with Tobias about making a live concert DVD/BR back in 2015, and he was trying to find the right gig to do it then.. so kind of surprising they still have nothing. Thankfully Ghost don't have any problems with fancams on youtube so there's a ton of live footage out there

@Wagoo If they had the full concert shot like Mary in Tampa, that is release quality stuff. I'd buy it immediately. Lots of video but mediocre audio quality. Mary is perfect live video. Hell it has 20 million views.

just so you can know about it: tobias wrote this song mostly for his brother that passed away (suicide if I'm not wrong???) than any other religious reference. of course it matches his band but it was a sad and broken hearted song writed.
