The guy in glasses represent Jim Jones. You guys might know about him and if you don't you guys should read about him. The story surrounding him is absolutely insane and horrifying.

as a swede and as a östgöte (the area Tobias is from) I always enjoy watching ghost reactions since ghost has a special local patriotic place in my heart. And you two really seems to have your heads screwed on. Its nice to see some good american people with all the shit you have going on over there

I think it's a well-shot sarcastic video and I love it! I used to laugh at it every time I watched it (and the song is one of my favs). However, having read about Jim Jones here in the comments, I watched some videos about him and the story is absolutely horrifying (!). I guess, I'm going to remember this story every time I turn on this song from now on :|

This is one of my all-time favorite music videos, and one of my favorite songs by Ghost. But I really wish they'd used an Oreo cookie to represent the host, here. Edit: Just watching this again. Seeing Jason's Benny Hinn / Benihana joke die on the operating table absolutely killed me. So, so funny. And sad. Really sad. We've all been there. Years and years ago, I spent some time with an old ex gf on a fancy island in Thailand. There was a sort of gathering every night in which any current residents of that particular beach who also happened to be former very serious improv theater actors would all go up on stage together and ask for the audience to shout out some emotional word and then all the cats on stage would immediately act it out. It was hilarious and it all worked out great until my stupid ass shouted out, "Shadenfreude." Crickets.

You guys pretty much nailed the point of the video with the whole cult thing. As others have said, he's modeling the look after Jim Jones. Tobias (as Papa IV) performed with the Hellacopters on a show and they did a cover of Sympathy for the Devil. It's worth checking out if you guys get a chance.

One of my friends is in the video as one of the "average at best" guys, lol

Yes. Well, anyone who pays serious attention to cults, crime and religious bullshit… (no offense to anyone…maybe?)

I agree this could be sung in a church, so I re-worked the words to represent a Christian hymn, glorifying Christ. I'm not an evangelist by the way, just did it to prove what a good song it was and one of my favourite Ghost songs (along with Cirice).

This song is about the singer's older brother that died right before Ghost became famous. He was his idol, father figure, best friend. For example "He will lead the way into the void" = he died first. He spoke about it on a Swedish radio show . The fact that the lyrics can be about both the devil and his brother makes this song even more genious.

Thats also Brendon McGowan as papa 3 in the video and not tobias.

Talking about creepy trains, have you seen the demonic spider train in the indie game Choo-Choo Charles? It's inspired by the Stephen King stuff you mentioned, Jason (and of course Thomas the Tank Engine)

Both of you realize that this song is making fun of all holy roller Evangelists that you see on TV especially Sunday mornings on how Tobias' dressed up in slick suits. He baptizes young hot women.

You were spot on with the mocking of worshipping. Here in Sweden we have a small minority of worshippers called philadelphia church an also " Lifes word church" and "Jehovas witness" Not too long ago religious cults such as Philadelpfia and such had sermons on national television were they "healed" people trough faith just like they do in USA and because Tobias forge just like many of us in Scandinavia although in some cases respect religion we also ridicule it for their incessant preaching of "the end is nigh" etc. But this video is clearly a mocking of religious fanatics and maybe a spoof on american Jim Jones cult or what it was called.

The first part with the children beside a Jesus mocks the Michael Jackson suit and pose are implying something about the catolic church.

Jim Jones, Cultic organizations are represented. Also, the ridiculousness of organized religion and the sheep mentality... Superimposing the beast in the role of the biblical God.... Just to tweak the faithful most likely. 😉
