I'm a 62yr old Englishman, and until recently I had never heard of George Carlin, suddenly I'm watching lots of his stuff...he's funny and extremely clever in his observations. I realy like his style.👍

Good you discovered dear ol' George. I'm only two years behind you but have been a fan since my early teens. He was often on Mike Douglas' afternoon variety show mid 70's. Sure cranked out lots of amazing material; see if you can find his books, especially 'When Will Jesus Bring The Pork Chops'!

I mean, he basically thinks as if he were drunk and sleep deprived. So im not sure it'd have much an effect lmao.

Did he really take a break he set on a stool? Was it his to take? Where did he take it? And how long did the break stay on the stool before he took it?

Back then, it only had content during certain hours of the day. I remember rushing home from school just to watch the screen switch from the HBO logo to movies or other specials.

I think it started showing first run movies in '65 then got shut down in a small area of New York City first called first Sterling Information Services then The Green Channel then HBO by 1972.
