Mother nature did that with every single naturally evolved creature.The universe is just challenging us to evolve spiritually ourselves and to look for the beauty in each one of her natural creatures.In compare our man made (and man selected) creatures are never as perfect as hers

The (fruit fly?) bothering Camera Goddess at the end, while I’m sure was irritating, was a bit of a chuckle. They are drawn to sweetness, so I’m certain she deals with them regularly, Lord love her!

Wow. What an absolute beauty! It'll be a real treat to see how she looks once she moults out into a brand new outfit, thank you for showing her off! Just lovely.

When I was seven years old my father took a job in Nairobi Kenya. As a toddler I would play in the garden. I was very inquisitive as a child and would occasionally come across these miniature sink holes lined with silk on our scruffy lawn Whenever I found one I would rush to the kitchen and fill a mug up with water and then go and pour it into the hole. And then marvel at the creature that came rampaging out of the tunnel and it looked just like the spider you showed here but without the gold. I wonder to this day what species it was! She was always angry but I would be too if some giant came to my house and drenched me!!! Fantastic channel Dave thanks to you both for your work it’s an absolute treat to pass by here and catch up every so often and one day I’d be glad to buy you a drink👍

@@daveslittlebeasties I really do enjoy it Dave. I used to have a massive collection in my younger days but now I have a debilitating illness that confines me to a bed so I can’t pursue the hobby anymore 😕 Your channel honestly is the next best thing though!

Trapdoor's , for the most part, aren't the most attractive spiders. But this one is exquisite! The gold just shimmers! I love it! I do hope you can find a male so we can see the beautiful babies!🕷

She is beautiful! I also don't think I have ever seen you get your fingers that close to those fangs especially from a spider not widely known! That surprised me seeing you handle that clump of dirt and web and you put her in the new enclosure by hand! That's a new one to me

When all the finance gurus said "get into gold" Dave and Camera Lady thought they meant spiders and treated us all to their curtain web L. fallax on Monday and now the gold digger!

That gold is stunning. I can’t help but wonder what evolutionary advantage there is for such exquisite colouration when the spider spends its life underground. Same with the Brazilian Jewel tucked away up a tree.

Fantastic looking little precious. And She showed Herself very well. And Dave made Her a cute little Enclosure that looks a little like a Hobbithole😊jeanettefrye has found a better common Name for Her: Midas Spider👍

Trapdoor spiders are among my favorites! This is a beautiful species I think is from Bolivia.

I'm done with spiders actually, since I don't have enough time to care for them, but your channel is the one I always come back to. I had this spider in the past, actually a couple of times. This one is easy to handle, being resistant to most of the mistakes like leaving the substrate dry. At least mine were. Easy eaters, will eat anything you throw to them which is their or smaller size. I can't say that I seen this spider often since it tends to hide most of the time. Mine were putting soil in the web so it was hard at times to see where the burrow actually is. Love it because of its color and reminded me funnel web spiders which I adore.

Hi Dave She is very pretty. That gold color really shows up nice on her dark body. Camera lady, you had some excellent views of her. I was suprised at how calm she was, when Dave just picked her up. i got one of these last year! i was amazed at how small it came as a sling, it has doubled in size after 2 molts but remains slightly smaller than an egg with legs. i've been keeping it moist-ish in a sling pot so far, throwing a couple regular fruit flies in any time i see it out of it's tunnels. it's made a lot of small web funnels coming up from the substrate just like yours has in it's sling pot

So beautiful! Had no idea these spiders existed before seeing this

When she came out of her tunnel I was in love she is spectacular, she reminded me of a school play my youngest son was in, he has jet black hair and very olive skin he was to be a Pharaoh with gold flecks across his torso, the spider reminded me of that, she is so well behaved just sitting there allowing us to to have a great look, I can see why camera lady has fallen in love with her! ❤❤❤

Trapdoor spider no 16 in the Bungulla reserve in Western Australia lived to 43 years old. She is the oldest recorded trapdoor. She did well 🙂 They are a beautiful spider

She’s beautiful. We have some gorgeous trapdoors and wishbone spiders that have a shiny golden carapace. Plus one that is literally called the silverback trapdoor spider. So gorgeous. This lady is stunning. :-) ❤

AWESOME what a STUNNING little Trapdoor Spider I know that some live 5-20 years the one I have is at least 15 years old I am not sure what the name is of the one I have as it was unlabelled and bought from a collection about 10 years ago
