    Yes it has more than one name for sure reginald. Some call it a Canadian jam knot. Although others have said it isn’t lol. All I know is it’s simple to tie, and works so very well 👍

    Just want to thank you for putting in such a great effort bringing us this awesome content. I'd say it's a go back home instinct Aspen has that causes her to try and return from where she came from. I had a girlfriend like that, after I dropped her off I knew she would try and come back so I moved.. bet she's still looking for me.

    Tollers are named for their ability to entice or lure waterfowl within gunshot range, called "tolling", this according to Wikipedia. The hunter would sit in a blind and the dog would circle the shorelines to entice the ducks and geese to investigate the dog's unusual behaviour and movements, Once the fowl was in range, the hunters would call their dog back putting the ducks and geese to air for shooting. The behaviour could be bred into them... This is the norm for them.... But I'm just guessing...

  • @ChuckPorterEverythingOutdoors

    @ChuckPorterEverythingOutdoors

    Жыл бұрын

    Yes sir. They are a descendant from the fox, which hunts in a similar way. I spoke with many many toller owners now, but none have noted the same behaviour. She hangs around the cabin all day, every day, and never ventures away back the trail. However, you take her for a ride in truck or snowmobile, and the instant you turn off the vehicle she runs back the trail. Bizarre.

    It’s the funniest thing Elwood. She stays outside all day by the cabin and never roams. If I take her for a ride in truck and return to the cabin, she immediately runs back out the road, and a long ways back unless I cal out to her. Can’t figure it out

  • @akadventurer7563

    @@ChuckPorterEverythingOutdoors My thought is its a form of lack of awareness of travel... shes trying to figure out how she got where she is compared to the last time out of or off of the vehicle. Is a bit (more) odd she does it at the cabin where she should be safe/content regardless of how she got there... But I'd still bet its a form of "wait, how the hell did I get here??" Not that I know much about dogs.. this is more logic and gut feeling than having any idea what I'm talking about. ;)

    Cool set up. I feel like you are just setting your lures on the bottom? Just judging by your curled lines. It might be beneficial to throw a jig on and jig the lure. That would attract the panfish. Still lures dont do to much for panfish. Just a thought.

    Hey Chuck, surely there are outdoor enthusiasts who wear 3XL to 6XL in Nfld and Labrador. They are also found in the rest of our great country. You mentioned over a year ago you plan on stocking bigger sizes as we usually land bigger fish etc. Lol. I think you would sell more product as well. Please let us know. Thanks. Great video today.

    Hey bud. I didn’t contact them but didn’t hear anything back from them afterwards. Time for me to give them another call. In the meantime, I am searching for another provider(closer to home) but believe it or not they are tremendously hard to find. Almost non-existent. (I need a provider who will handle the orders. Lots of companies print, however, they do not ship directly etc. huge problem for me. )

    Best snowmachine made for bushwacking even b4 the Mikuni carbs were in them. Wide track and could start with a rope or your belt if the recoil broke.

    Great to see you getting out! Your supper looked DELICIOUS. I work with dogs but have never heard of a dog running a track back like that. My friend owns a NSDTR. I will ask if their Rosie ever does that. It could just be a quirky thing that Aspen does.

    Hey sally. I’m thinking it is just a quirky thing. I always search for an association relation (ie bell ringing means feeding time) or an animal instinct. I can’t find either in her reaction. When she does the backtrack she runs with her nose to the ground sometimes. It’s bizarre. Tks for tuning in my friend
