I can’t believe cricut gets away with charging us an arm and a leg to upgrade to a worse machine! It is an obvious defect that happens to everyone right after warranty is up. I’m guessing just about the time they come out with their next machine SMH what a shame.

😮omg, I’m giving this a try!! I stopped using my machine/ crafting because of the rubber constantly moving out of place. And to think I randomly came across your post, life safer. 🤞🏾i hope it works.

Loose rubber

That nib where the zip tie goes into itself...... that doesn't prevent it from rolling? Hmmmmm I will definitely have to try this! Thank you!

ok I tried this and the roller still isn't working

Short fix. Will get worse over time as that ruber( its actualy cheep silicone or something ) is not suited to least long. Some peoples i seen became even sticky like burned

I did a similar thing and added a strip of tape (where you have your zip tie placed) This is a terrible design flaw with Cricut that I hope gets addressed. I have had a open ticket with them since September and no one ever got back to me. 😢

@@shehasthekeys that’s terrible. I have given up trying to reach them. It’s nearly impossible. The solution of the tape, much like the zip ties) is the best remedy to also protect my investment.

I spent nearly 2 hours on the phone with cricut for them to say it can't be fixed...ill try this...I have nothing to lose thanks

I tried it. My zip tie broke. I think it was too tight. Now that I have watched this again, I will try again today and report back.

Hi! I’m desperately seeking how to fix my rollers that won’t even turn! Does the rubber have anything to do with that? Hopefully, it does and it’s an easy fix because I’m stressing rn! Ha. Thank you!!

I don't think it does 😕 The rubber pieces just grab the mat when the rollers turn. I could be wrong and I hope I'm wrong. I would call cricut especially if u still have a warranty

I’m not going to lie I had no idea what to do either when mine busted off too after using my lamé technique that worked temporarily but I was able to buy replacement on eBay and luckily my husband is very handy that he removed the whole machine apart and managed to replace the rubber part. If you know someone who is handy you might still have a chance on not having to buy a brand new machine again. They weren’t that expensive on eBay either but hope this helps.

You can superglue the rubber together. Im i. The rubber roller business....nit for tiny things like this, but we instuct our customers to superglue their rubber together in a bind. It always works and these are i dustrial manufacturing roller with a hell of a lit more pressure than a cricut

​​​@@lorenzamartinez2570 I found 4 rollers on Etsy and I ordered them from the guy. He made them with his 3D printer. They looked like they aregood quality rollers. His reviews looked good. He made a note along with instructing and where included in my order. In his instructions he said I might need to heat the rollers up in warm water for a lot bit. This will make them a little bit softer, before I put the rollers on the rod. This weekend we will be taking the machine apart and replacing the two rollers on my Cricut Maker. I really hope this works. We did get the machine apart. This really helped and once they cooled down, they were back to their original shape and hardness. I am working on putting the machine back together. It is late right now, so I will finish putting everything back together tomorrow. I will let you know how it goes. If this doesn't work then I will be trying this remedy. I wish I had seen this first, because I would have tried this first before I took the thing apart. I am not sure the posted suggestion would have helped. My rollers were in really bad condition. The rollers were gummy on the bottom and really hard on the top of both of the rollers. Let me know how it worked on your machine. 🎉😊
