Fire Response On ICE - MVA rollover accident on the interstate.

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Old video I dug up of a Fire Reponse - MVA with injuries. This is in Loveland Colorado. I was the firefighter on the engine.
Toned as an MVA with injuries with a patient who is pregnant. No one hurt but the Pregnant female went to the hospital for checkup.
Roads were very slick with black ice and there were tons of accidents that morning.
Don't forget to subscibe!

@WorldTechToday the inside cab cabinet is wired to the "open door" light. if you listen youll hear the roll up door go up and back down. that is when the light comes on and off. not sure why it is wired that way...

The two screen's (one on the driver side the other officer) are touch screens in which you can control pretty much everything such as lights, heat, exhaust break etc. my fire company recently purchased a 2010 crimson with these touch screens. Now if I am wrong please do let me know.

@WorldTechToday Typically that's to allow the driver and officer know when there's a compartment or cab door open while the truck is in gear. Someone may have opened the door prematurely, or perhaps something else. Not sure, it varies from truck to truck. That's just how my department has our trucks set up.

(n a case like this wqhere the roads were in this kind of condition, have you guys ever had to put tire chains on any of your fire units and if so, know that you want to get to a call as quickly as possible, no matter what the road conditions may be, but with chains on your vehicles, you can only go a certain speed or you can break them, I did something worse one time, I was doing a deliverly business with my own vehicle, and I had to put chains on nut I guess I totally screwed something up after I thought I put them on the right way, Got back in my car, took of and only after a coupe blocks, they came unhooks and totally wrappede themselves around my car's axles, so I had to pull over, get out my jack, completly jack up the sides of my car, take off both wheels and completly unwrap the chains from the axles, that took me over and hour back then, hope I never have to put chains on again......
