Finally Finishing The Blazer Tank Install In My S10! (LEARN FROM MY MISTAKES!!!)

I finally finished the filler neck and re-did a little fab work on the Blazer tank in my 1993 S10. Also mated a Walbro 255 fuel pump to a stock 1993 Blazer fuel sender. The parts I used are linked below!

I've been contemplating the Blazer tank swap in my Dime for a few years and your videos have finally made it clear on how to make it fit. I would prefer to have the outside filler door setup moved back to the rear. Not sure how easy that will be to put together, but we'll give it a go. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thank you for this I am wanting to do the same thing on my 92 S15. Looking into ways to rout the filler neck differently on mine but very helpful video. Again thank you.

I always thought of a second gas tank in the S10 but. It's not really needed.. it would be to have extra tank for gas mileage. I hope in the floor be lots better than on the side.

Great work tommy. The filler neck looks good. Im enjoying watching your progress on this swap. Im curious though what your plans are for the hole in the bed to acess the filler neck? I would be worried about trash getting through that push through style cap withoutnsome sort of door covering it. Especially if you're carrying something in the bed. Keep up the great work!

Thanks buddy. The plan is to graft a gas door in the bed floor to keep it covered up and still looking stock-ish

I’m putting in a Ridetech air ride system in a 93 s10 short box step side, looking to relocate the blazer tank to the rear, didn’t know if any one has used this system and moved the tank also? Thank you for looking..👍

My thought with that style gas cap IS that dirt & rain will get into the tank.

I plan graft a shrouded gas door into the bed floor, so it won't be much different than newer vehicles that come stock without a gas cap

Do you have. To worry about rain water getting in to the push button spout.

I wanted to swap in the Blazer tank to move weight rearward, centered between the frame rails. And I try to keep a clean work area in the garage, but I can assure you, 90% of the time, a tornado has just come through behind the camera lol

Cheeky Garage thanks. I guess I was weighting the benefits verses rewards. I remember the pinto gas tank fiasco. I have been run in to 3 times in my 1500 Silverado and jag so I’m a bit concerned about placing gas tank there. I loved your fit mint and welding. Did you back purge. I’m willing to bet you did because of the quality on the weld. What type of blade did you use to cut the stainless. Nice cuts on that smal pie cuts.
