The bathtub girl proved our point- the average person can fit into it. She’s below average. The bathtub isn’t “fatphobic,” people are just morbidly obese in a way their body isn’t supposed to be. The human body is not meant to carry 600+ lbs. It isn’t healthy to live like that.

Okay I'm not trying to be disrespectful but you should start looking into losing that weight. You probably look beautiful how you are but it's gonna affected you a whole lot later and you would wish you would've dealt with the situation sooner and you don't need to hurry you can do like 20-30 minutes of exercise a day and you'll lose weight very slowly but that would mean that you would have less loose skin. Don't take this as something offensive btw just some advice

I think people should be treated with respect regardless to weight but when it reaches a point where people are trying to act like they're oppressed because of their personal decisions it's just avoiding accountability. Also weaponising words of trauma. I use to have regular panic attacks which are absolutely awful and can feel like youre losing grip with reality and causes excessive crying and breathing issues. I doubt thats what you experienced over a chair but if it is youve got some mental issues to check out.

Personally I think being almost 200 pounds in Middle School messed me up. I grew up in foster care so I would comfort eat. There was no 'fat acceptance' in 2008, so I was bullied by the kids at school and by my family (😐)... The kids at school called me a WHALE, and used to make fun of how long it would take me to complete the mile runs in PE... I was nowhere near as big as any of these people in this video. It worked though, I lost a lot of weight. I dropped to 150 by the time I was out of HS in 2014. And now, I've been at 120 for the last 5 years 💪 (I do still occasionally have problems with my stomach from the way that I used to eat)

The body positivity movement was, in fact, actually started by fat people, for fat people. Intersectionality is a very important part of that since a lot of shapes and sizes that were considered "wrong" by society came from racism against black women. Disabilities, race, genetic factors, medications, and poverty are all factors that can effect your weight that have nothing to do with diet and exercise. The point of body positivity is to accept that you can't know if a person is healthy or not based on their appearance. Even if they aren't healthy it could be another problem CAUSING the weight gain and not vice versa. I know plenty of thin people that could eat butter, lard, and sugar all day and not gain a ounce because they have other health problems but people will still tout them as being healthier than someone who is fat. It's never been about what people are eating, how often they exercise, or how healthy they are. It's about people being capable of being beautiful, smart, funny, interesting and so many other things and society still only labeling you as undesirable. It's about people dying due to lack of health care because their problems are blamed on weight. It's about clothes costing more for plus size people and those same clothes not even being sold in stores or not available at brick and mortar shops. It's about fat people who develop eating disorders and getting praised for it because they look better to others even though it's killing them. The very notion that health and weight are so intrinsically mixed in our society's view is deeply problematic and harmful to everyone.

I hate it when they say fatphobia. No one is scared of “fat people”. They just seem to make up excuses and ways to blame anyone else except them. They’re so self centered. They can eat as much as they want, they might need a bigger chair, whatever. That’s a YOU problem. You can’t really blame society or other people on something you’re responsible of. When I was little I was really fat, but no way I called other people fatphobic or blamed others. It was my problem and I dealt with it. That’s my view on this “fatphobia” thing. Extremely exaggerated and a way to not take responsibility on yourself

It disgusts me when people try and shame people with eating disorders by saying “you’re *literally* fat phobic if you have an eating disorder because you’re scared of being fat, so you can’t say you’re not. You are.” I LITERALLY have heard five overweight women say this harmful, triggering garbage when addressing people with ED’s. It’s absolutely the wrong way to do anything because they never say it to help, they say it to feel like they do something good when really they’re just throwing hate, harm, and harassment around. They’re miserable so they have to feed off of anyone else’s and pull them down too. I’m sorry people have said that to you. It’s incredibly disrespectful and entitled behavior. Everyone has their struggles in life and there’s no reason for these awful people to open their mouths.

It's ok to not have a perfect body...you can have rolls and cellulite and all, that's natural. Not everybody has a photoshopped, Instagram model body. No one deserved to be shamed for not having a perfect body. It's ok to eat fast food every once in a while, and eat the food you enjoy without feeling guilty about every bite. But fat ACTIVISM? Pushing people to be fat? Pushing people who are literally dying and suffering from medical issues (or people will most likely develop them in the future) to remain in an unhealthy lifestyle? That's not right, and it's not really helping anybody in the long run.

It was hard to do anything without being out of breathe. Now, years later, after hard work with dieting, exercise, and working on my relationship with food, I’m now 130 lbs. this doesn’t make me fat phobic, this is just me being concerned for my health and overall ability to move around comfortably and happily with friends and future family.

@@Anya-ef3sb I changed the comment because maybe it’s not that rare but I don’t believe the majority of fat people cannot lose weight. Even if 1 out of 3 fat people cannot lose weight, then still 66% of fat people can but many of them do not want to try hard enough. Instead they complain about how they can’t lose weight or they accept it and not work on it. Then there’s a portion that also encourages people to be fat but that’s a small amount

Like half of these arguments could also be like “well airplane seats are tall-phobic because they don’t have leg room” “Shelf’s are short-phobic because short people can’t reach them” like these things don’t only apply to them but others deal with it. Also I’m not saying anything is wrong with being fat (as long as you’re still healthy) it’s just that saying everything is fat-phobic is not ok because while things should be accessible, society wasn’t built around everyones own individual needs.

1:57 The entitlement on this woman. Imagine having enough money to not only afford so much food, but also afford a house with a bathroom that's big enough to fit a bathtub inside, and still complain about how the bathtub doesn't fit you and how the world isn't made for you, blablabla. Like girl, that seriously is a you problem at this point. Before complaining about how thin people have more privileges than fat people, try looking at what privileges you already have. You can't blame your habits on other people, and just because someone is skinny does not mean they are "fat phobic." Being obese is not good for your health, and can easily kill you but yet people wanna normalize it. Its not about having the most perfect body, its about being healthy and not dying early.

True body positivity is for things you cannot change such as disability’s, height, weewee size etc. Defending yourself for being fat is just saying your too lazy to lose weight. Places should always be ready to accommodate for people SLIGHTLY bigger than the average person but not 400+ pound monsters. Also if you can’t fit into a whole damn bench that shits just sad. Also, Also losing weight is not expensive at all. You gain weight if you consume more calories than you burn, you do not get fat off of a certain item. This fat positivity stuff is stupid, anyways I’m gonna go workout legs. Peace yo

At the time they were pretty big (around 300 lbs from my knowledge) and they got pretty sad once they found out they were too big for a seat on a big roller coaster that they liked. They ended up deciding to lose weight and I think they lost around 70-100 lbs! A huge win for them and another reason why these people calling out others for fatphobia are fucking stupid. People have different body types and some can eat more than others while staying at a healthy size. It's not "the world's problem" if they can't do something because of that, and it's not their fault that their body type sucks, but it is their fault that they didn't to anything about it

@@postpunky it’s one thing to hate on somebody which isn’t okay but another to not support an unhealthy lifestyle. Not wanting to glorify a morbidly obese lifestyle isn’t bullying, it’s hopefully saving people now & generations to come from eating disorders.
