What I miss about farcry since 3 is that every game’s story feels the same. Farcry3 felt so unique because it focused more on the player itself than a major outside conflict, farcry 3 has a major world conflict but the focus on Jason’s decent into madness is far more interesting then stopping a dictatorship or ruthless regime

I really really REALLY fucking loved how far cry 3 made you actually take a minute and think about how for the past couple hours, you’ve been whittling yourself down into a killer, and sometimes there is little separating Jason from vaas. The story feels like they put real effort in having an underlying message. Far cry 3 is my favorite fucking game of all time

The vaas dlc was released full on stadia on accident so there's a few full playthroughs of it and the secret ending if you beat it on the hardest difficulty where vaas is alive and older looking

It is or is not depending on your opinion, it’s not objective. Personally I think it’s better than 3, yes that includes story. 6’s story is fast paced yet takes work, taking down all of Castillo’s allies. Three’s story, to me, felt way too slow, the scenes with Vaas are great, but everything else just feels meh. Castillo is an amazing villain, don’t know if he’s better than Vaas, but he’s still very original and powerful. I don’t have bad taste. I just have a differing opinion.

i had a hard time with Brodies ongoing motives to continue killing, he did have a better story arc, but it seemed like he should have gotten his friends together, and left, that was the whole point... Who's Hoyt? lol.... Because of that, i felt 3 dragged out for me. I like the turning citra character, though.... I think because 3 holds a lot of nostalgic value for a lot of FC OG's, it just automatically is the better game.... I think they all have their goods and bads, and all have been good in their own way for me. Between 3 and 6, I think I'd rather play 6 again, though. 6 felt like a better put together 3. I do agree, though, they could have given it that extra few minutes of script writing and expanded on both Dani and on Anton. That would have pushed it over the edge for sure.

Jason continued to kill because he started to like it. He enjoyed murdering onslaughts of Vaas and Hoyt’s men, and liked the adrenaline he got from it. He even tells his friends this in one of those “We’re repairing the boat Jason, look!” cutscenes.

Far Cry 3 is definitely a winner for me. Its an older game (2013 if I remember right), and not many people I know actually know about it, but its so nostalgic for me. Even with the better mechanics in other Far Cry games (like different animal variants, different guns, etc.), none of them could ever match the same energy as Far Cry 3 imo Especially since, when they introduced Far Cry 3 and it was a massive success, they basically copy-pasted the exact formula of that game and built on it, which made the upcoming games just, the same thing but with new people, new guns, and not a good story (since it wasnt done as well as they did Far Cry 3) I really appreciate the DLCs in Far Cry 6 though, especially the Insanity DLC. I really enjoy Vaas as a villain, and really loved the insight to his character

In my little list of games, Far Cry 3 is definitely #1 with Left 4 Dead following closely in #2. Both of those games will forever have a place in my heart!

I love far cry 6 story vivero to me was a great dilemma i loved the way of a villan he was I hated who Castillo was I found him cruel and evil but when he said that we buy stuff from sweat shops all the time that we all contribute to the problem I knew he was right it made me want to change my real actions because a game charecter called me out you don’t see that every day

In my opinion, what made Far Cry 3 good (besides Vaas) is that it was dark and greety, something that the series really lost after Far Cry 4 and became really light hearted and it does not connect at all with the story. The story wants to be dark but the gameplay and the characters voicelines feel so happy, like they enjoy living, nothing is wrong and everything is perfect. I get it that Far Cry has always been about wacky and over the top gameplay, but I feel that the world and gameplay is really disconnected from the story. Yeah, they're fun but they're not that great imo, just good enough to kill some more neurons, the games' substance is all but missing for the last 3-4 games (I actually really liked Primal tbh)

I agree that FC3 is better overall. But I think they're more similar than different. Maybe it's the island setting. But both have camps to clear, waypoints to follow, and a villain. Vaas is way better than Anton. I think 6 has way too many missions to move on to the next area. They could have cut those in half. I think the other characters in 6 are better than Jason's friends in 3- especially his annoying girlfriend. I think 6 is way better than 5. But both 3 & 6 are good overall. I do recommend 6 if you're a Far Cry kind of person. Just don't expect a brand new experience.

We need a farcry 3 but 5 years in the future. Where the final boss is Jason, & citra being the first island protagonist.

Far Cry 6 could have improved the story/character arc by, yes giving Dani more and more of a spotlight and change the character as the story progresses by giving the player hard moral choices (like Spec Ops The Line level of difficult choices) that can blur the lines between freedom fighter or terrorist for Dani and maybe determine in the later story will Dani become revered as a Liberator, or just become another tyrant like Castillo. And they could have done more with Castillo to make the player either love him or hate him for the things he does and how he justifies it instead of the player just hating him because he's a boring villain.

For me what's disappointing in farcry 6 is the Melee weapons being not a thing and i don't get why they couldn't add at least some Melee weapons

I think that fc 6 story shows a to much big and complex story that feels far away from the player but fc 3 has much more personal and easy to relate to story. Plus the change from fc 2 to fc 3 was dramatic what we cant say about fc 6 from fc 5

Far cry 3 is the gold standard of Far Cry that they still try to live up to. I did love 6 but 3 is one of my favorite games of all time

I prefer Far Cry 6's gameplay for obvious reasons and I do enioy Yara a bit more with different regions that are within that map. I kinda vibe off of its look and feel with the graphics technology of today, it really looks fantastic. However the more I play Far Cry 3 the more I appreciate it for what it is. Over the years I seem to have forgotten just how big this game was for its time and even today. Yeah sure it doesn't quite have everything that 6 has, but Far Cry 3's release was huge.. It was so fresh, new and kind of jarring compared to Far Cry 2. When Far Cry 3 and Far Cry 5 / New Dawn came out, Me my brother and my cousin played those games for days.. I think I binge played FC3 for three days straight. Far Cry 5 and it's DLC are not at all my favorites but It was that same wow effect that 3 gave us, they had us all binge playing those games. When Far Cry 6 came out it was a different story. Sure we played it all day long but we didn't binge on it.. Maybe it's because we're all getting older and we're finding more practical use of our time, but I couldn't help but notice. Sometimes I'll put the controller down and not touch it for a month or two, but I still come back to it quite frequently And it's installed on all of my machines.. because I keep coming back unlike Far Cry 3 and 5 where I don't really come back to it until years later when I'm just looking for some nostalgia. Regardless though, Far Cry 3 is undoubtedly the best For obvious reasons despite it not being my favorite. But I truly think it deserves a solid remastered, not just a Classic Edition..

Far Cry 3 has the better Skilltree. Because you can have every skill you want. At once. On 6 you have to chose. I never had issues with the story I really liked. And had no problem with Jason Brody.

Far cry 3 has the best story in the series hands down. The character development in Jason is insane and very realistic as he goes down the abyss and we witness his every step.

Do Far Cry 6 vs Far Cry 4 next.

Eh, I feel like I would give the last 3 points to FC6 only and call it a tie, since Yara (imo) is very beautiful and immersive. And for the mechanics also, FC6 wins. So I think that FC6 and FC3 are on equal levels, ofc the story doesn't even compare to 3. But I feel 6 deserved better than what u rated, all my opinion Also Ubisoft is on its path to redemption in the far cry franchise....kinda, hope they do that with AC also

One thing that somehow obvious is Farcry series get bolder themes over the time, so soundtrack is a major thing

This could just be me, but I really liked Dani in Far Cry 6. She just felt so much more human than anyone else. I liked Jason and his connection/vengeance with Vaas, and I absolutely adored his transformation from prey into predator, but for me he didn’t have the same depth as Dani. I felt like I understood them by the end of the game, the little singing in the car, opening up with Bicho, and the sudo mentoring and connection between Dani and Juan is just unbeatable to me. (just what I think, no hard feelings if you like Jason more) Oh, and the supporting characters for the protagonist is, in my opinion, the is absolutely awesome (especially when compared to some of the npcs in FC5). I think this is because they wanted to show more of the ‘good guy’ side in this game, which is why the side villains feel so underdeveloped. I fucking love Juan, Espada, Bicho, El Tigre, Yalena, Jon Ron and Philly! All of them feel real and grounded in the context of the game. With Far Cry 3, I feel like Jason’s friends had depth, but they were only there to serve as training for the eventual Vaas fight. We got little glimpses into their lives, but because they were all so far removed from their normal ones, their characters kinda just ended. (I will say that the exception to this is Jason and Lisa’s relationship as he descends further into insanity. I love Liza's constant attempts to ground Jason, and Jason justifying all his killing, it’s just *chefs kiss*).

Jason never killed Vaas Best part of Far Cry 6 was getting confirmation that Citra indeed Orchestrated and faked his death like I said all along. Thank you Ubisoft lol

I haven't played far cry 6 yet, but I have seen a lot of red flags of the game. A lot of people say that it is the best one in the series, but I think they aren't critical enough. For me, the main problem will probably that from what I've seen, the difficulty is way too easy. I am playing through far cry 3 again right now on the hardest difficulty and I love that it is so difficult, since I consider myself as a seasoned player of the game. In far cry 6 I see people just running into outpost and headshotting everyone. There are no stakes at risk. The filler content is usually not a big problem for me, because I love the gameplay, but without a good story and to easy game play, I'm not sure I will pay 60 bucks for it.

Far Cry 6 can be much more difficult IMHO than FC 3. But...only in certain situations and those are if you went out and went on walk about in FC 3 and were all gunned up and leveled up you basically could not lose any shoot outs with pirates or Mercs if you knew what to do, but they didn't roll in tanks did they? So when you try to annihilate the Soldados in FC 6 and dont run after a confrontation they just spawn more and more enemies with rocket launchers, and more helo's and tanks till you die or run out of ammo. While FC 3 had deadly animals that killed you... once you got an lmg you never had to worry about animals killing you again so a large part of the danger was gone. I agree that FC 6 needs a harder difficulty level where the AI is more aware and they added a 4th difficulty level (master class) to FC 3 while FC 6 has only 2 difficulties (i have never played on the easier difficulty since launch, so I dont know what that is like).

@@gamersanonymous4me131 It really depends on what difficulty you play. In far cry 6 you start off immediately with 6 or something health bars. In 3 you can just die in 2 shots and I think that's what made it so good.

Unpopular opinion... Far Cry 3 is overhyped. Vaas is an amazing charachter, I get that. And the story is great... possibly yhe best of the series, idk I would have to really think about it... but the game is pretty shallow and redundant. And GAMEPLAY is what games are about. A good story is a bonus. You get the best of the very short catalog of weapons and gear pretty quick, and it becomes really easy. I didn't feel threatened, every outpost and roadblock were just dead guys in my way. I guess maybe its because I didn't play it when it was new... I played FC5 and New Dawn before going back to FC3 and 4, so I was spoiled. FC5 is so much more compared to the ones that came before. The prologue escape before the title screen even drops is more hectic and exciting than the whole of FC3 and 4. The weapons list is huge and allows for some solid role playing and self-challenges. Far Cry 5's plot twists and subversions were mind blowing at times too. The line between hero and villian was the most blurred and subjective. It may actually be the best written... its my fav for sure. Perhaps if I were nostalgic about Far Cry 3, I might hold it in higher regard. But it didn't even compell me to finish the game. I got bored and exhausted.

Absolutely right, they must've been all brainwashed. Is just my opinion, I'll play fc 6 and 3 and switch from time to time and 6 is in almost every point bether then 3 except the story, sadly. But when u just look at the grafics 3 is so outdated, they all brainwashed is the only answer to me or nostalgia, maybe nostalgia brainwashed 😅

3 is Mike's ahead in ever aspect for me. There's just a level of care and attention to detail that isn't present in 6

My Far Cry rankings are: 1st: Far Cry 6 2nd: Far Cry 3 - [3 & 6 are pretty even, prefer Vaas as the bad guy though, prefer 6's world/map, Dani/Chorizo and the new additions like outfits, fighting mechanics etc] 3rd: Far Cry 4 4th: Far Cry 5 5th: Far Cry Primal 6th: Far Cry New Dawn

Story and villain is best is far cry 3 and gameplay is best is far cry 6
