I think far cry 4 may be my favorite far cry game, even more than 3. Far cry 3 has a more engaging protagonist but the setting in 4 alone is a very endearing subject that doesn't seem to get covered a lot, I love how trippy 3 is but 4 is rather human with the characters you fight for and against, pagan is a terrible dictator but the leaders of the golden path are just power hungry people who will go to the same extremes in power if not worse than pagan.

Farcry 3 definitely was amazing and had some of the most iconic moments in gaming history The start of the game when Jason's brother gets shot and Vaas says "Run Forest Run" still gives me goosebumps when I think about it I loved farcry 4 more tho, the ending when you spare Pagan and find out the truth left tears in my eyes, the game really made you feel the pressure of having to choose the lesser evil and you realise Pagan was a broken man caught between the conflict just like Ajay

I hate how they didn't make the Golden Path as brutal. Like, yea Paul De Pleur did rape and capture innocents. But what are the odds Amita didn't do the same just to get an advantage over the army? I loved the "capture Paul De Pleur" mission, we see what he's doing to innocents and the south. I haven't played Far Cry 6, I cant get an opinion on it

@Let's Talk "omg far cry 3 is the best far cry!!!! vaas insanity speech is so cull!! the other games suck due to ubisoft and not my biased opinion!!" I know you can have an opinion and all but don't shit on my boy 4 like that, because imo it has way better combat and more weapons. But the story is always lacking, tho it doesn't mean its garbage. It had more side content too, especially the Shang-Ri La missions and the rare animal hides alongside the story with Mr Chiffon. And it even has hidden details like in the promotional trailers, It didn't feature the REAL pagan min but his stunt double model. And I enjoyed liberating outposts more in 4 because it has more ways to kill and get creative (especially with you being able to kick explosives and car takedowns). All and all both far cry games are equal. I just dislike 3 having more praise because many so called "experts" find it to be more deep when 4 is so overlooked

Mine was Far Cry 2, then Far Cry 3, which is my favourite. Kept replaying it over and over again. As soon as I finished the game I started it all over :) I've actually entered this year too by playing FC2 and 3. Played 4 and 5 too. Currently playing FC4 again but it's exhaustingly boring especially the intrusive, distruptive and distracting random events that happen every few meters and every few seconds. As I'm replaying it now I don't really feel what kept me playing the first time it nowhere near FC3 and 5 is a total garbage.

The lesser of two evils? Both were evil. The game forced you to choose between a religious nutjob and another terrorist. Couldn't stand the story and characters in 4. I'll take 6 over 4 any day.

I love fc4 map the most those gorgeous mountains in the background though

4 is my definite favorite out of the franchise. It's mostly the settings but also that it doesn't have clear "good guys" and "bad guys" everyone has a personal agenda and just manipulates you into it. And the array of exotic and dangerous animals and the more traditional feel of far cry 4 that feels more like what far cry used to be.

I liked the Treasure Hunts in Far Cry 6, especially the story of the missing family in Esperanza. Shangri-La was a nice twist on 4, though..

Far cry 4 had the best looking world even by today's standards they scaled the himalayan terrain pretty well it felt grand and reserch went into making that game, about the environment and culture and languages I need more games based on the himalayan region imagine a vr Everest climbing simulator, and the yeti dlc was great.

I only recently started playing FC4 . It’s clearly the best FC to me. Still looks great while FC3 does look quite rough. Map is awesome. I haven’t finished yet but story is okay too.

Disagree on the stealth. While 6 is easier, it doesn't mean it can be less fun, you can be much more creative in 6. Which a bunch of gadgets and guns

stealth in 6 is just grabbing a semi auto and then putting armor piercing and a suppressor on and clicking heads. the stealth meta in that game is so blaitantly overpowered that it forces you into that strategy and makes it quite boring and repetitive. fc4 gave you more viable options imo and the stealth wasn’t as easy which makes it more fun for me

Not to mention the most iconic weapons like m79, D2, 700 Nitro, buzzsaw, sa 50, autocross etc. Which were all new additions to far cry 4. All the animal fighting animations that were added in fc4, Also game changing mechanics like driving and shooting, grapple, riding elephants, throwing knives, mini helicopters, a whole host of different side missions and choices in the story If one looks closely there are a LOT of awesome additions in fc4

As someone who fell in love with 4 with it being one of the few games I owned at the time, I thought I only liked it for the nostalgia, but I’m so happy to see that so many other people loved it!

I think the "blood on my shoes" line from FC4 intro should be iconic like the definition of insanity scene.

Farcry 4 was my first real farcry play through and it’s what got me into playing farcry 3, primal, farcry 5 and now far cry 6

Farcry 4 will always be my favorite. That and primal! Best thing about farcry 6 is you don't have to get the perks to be able to do stealth kills and chain kills

To me, gameplay: 6 Story: 4 Villian: 4 Protagonist: 6 World: ngl it's pretty hard, but 4 As an Indian, seeing Kyrat was like seeing a reflection of my own country. The hindi language, swearing in hindi, the vehicles, the political condition. It all just became instantly relatable to me because I live in India. Far cry 6 is just overall fun because of the new stuff though.

I feel as though the far cry 6 side villains are a bit overlooked, and are quick to skip to the “boring generic side villain” aspect, but the stories for the people of the that region make you feel what the tyranny of the side villains is doing to the people of that region. Also, the side villains talk on intercoms in bases in their region which adds a nice touch

I definitely agree with this point, imo the side characters add a depth to anton’s tyranny and harsh control of Yara. The side villain who i hated the most was Mckay, Ubisoft did a great job at making mckay look like a bad person who is only in for profit and has little care for others goals or accomplishments. After what he did in the hotel I couldn’t forgive him at all.

I also feel like he barely mentioned ANY of the side characters except the legends of ‘67 (even then he barely discussed them). I feel like The Montero Family and La Moral had at least somewhat developed characters compared to the people Ajay meets along his journey.

I really think you're opinions on these games are spot on. Ubisoft is really a company who's able to make the best games out there, but they always fall short. They do bunch of improvements, graphics are always beautiful, gameplay mechanics are usually great. They always seem to mess up the way they go about their stuff, for the sake of making some extra money. FC6 really made no effort to make me care about the story, other than hiring Gus. Straight out boring characters, not the worst, but just really generic, unconvincing, childish and not interesting at all. I've played games like Guardians of the Galaxy, Days Gone, etc. recently. These games always contain immense quality story-wise, gameplay-wise, great unique worlds without being to big or washed out, they don't paralyze you with tons of meaningless stuff to do, characters feel real and authentic. Really makes you wanna just keep going, and enjoy the experience. Rockstar and RDR2, what a masterpiece. Even Cyberpunk was extremely fun compared to Valhalla, Legion, or FC6. I returned to AC Unity and Black Flag too, and I just love how those games make me feel. I'm always too hyped for Ubisoft's new releases and I end up being dissapointed. I can always enjoy their games. They're good games, but they just miss that spark, the heart, the passion. Anyways, great vid!

Honestly I love ubisoft cause they have made a lot of great games and especially games like ac and farcry would get me so excited, especially once you start the game and get to the sequence when the title of the game shows up for the very first time, I'd get goosebumps sometimes I'd cry man I love ubisoft but I don't like where they going these days

The thing is Ubisoft is not a bad studio, the concepts that they come up with are pretty unique and interesting but their execution is quite poor plus the lack of innovation in their games, like not a lot of innovation has been made in the far cry series since far cry 3. Most of their games feel extremely generic.

People we're complaining that it was getting too generic and same same. Ubisoft listened to the fans and switched up the whole formula to what we have now since AC Origins. Now People are Complaining once again saying that it's not Assassin's Creed anymore.. So what is it? You want them be generic or switch it up? Gamers just can't be pleased with anything nowadays...

at first didn’t know what action mode and story mode was. I picked story mode out of complete excitement getting the game. Quit the game because it was waaaay to easy and thought I missed the difficulty menu before starting the campaign. Realised that I had to click action mode for a better harder experience. It was just as easy to me the only thing I found about it. If you click story mode, Some of the objectives was cut out or simplified on certain missions.

Far Cry 4 got me back into video games after a long hiatus. I love that game, and it’s probably my favorite of the series. That being said, I’m playing 6 now and loving it.

play farcry 6, this game gave me a feeling that no game has ever gave. truly ,its the only game I've played on their series, buh I will play the 4, but i want you to try the 6

I know this one was gonna be close. Both games have the "you either love it or hate it" response from the community. I loved both so I don't know which one I would pick, but I can see why to some this one could go either way.

You should add a post game category. My favorite thing about FC 6 is how they add a game mode for after you beat the story so you can keep playing if you enjoyed the game play. Maybe part of the open world category?

For me, Far Cry 3 is good, because of the setting and the language the NPCs used which is Indonesia, and the location is beautiful too, the story, the tatau, is also amazing But still, the best one is Far Cry 4 for me, because the location is still in Asia, and i feel like the sounds and graphics improved a lot from Far Cry 3

My experience is stealth machete kills in fc6 are the way to go, simply because you can´t control the fact how soldados from high up will fall down it can easily alert the guards before you know it.

I enjoyed the open world of FC4 slightly more than FC6. I loved the arena in FC4 and that aspect should come back for sure. I liked the missions of New Dawn over the missions on FC6. I don’t just want to grab the McGuffin and run for shade and water. I would like some variety for future missions. I wished FC6 would have rewarded exploration more.

Two quick points. First, and I am sure you've done this as a fan of FC4...After the opening cut scene stay at the table until Pagan comes back, the game ends shortly afterwards. Its a fun hidden secret. Second; I have watched all of your FC compare videos, all excellently done. The one thing for me personally about all the games, and how much I enjoy each title comes down to the amount of tension the game has. FC 3 was the master of this, you always felt hunted, there was constant tension. FC 5 was the only other title to start with the tension at a 10 (its my personal favorite opening cinematic to any FC game), sadly it loosens after you officially started the game. FC 4 (despite being my favorite game) and FC 6 have the least amount of tension in my opinion. Possibly because they are "rebel" games, and not "escape" games like 3 and 5 are. For me I would love to have the next FC entry be more of the hunted/escape theme where the tension was with you all the way through the game similarly to 3.

Far Cry 4 Pagan Min was a more engaging and layered character while Castio is about as generic a dictator as you can get. Yes the side characters aren't exactly mind blowing but there was a small enough number of them to keep track of. Plus I liked how the story also addressed how often times the Revolution is just as bad if not worse than the dictator. Far Cry 6, it's essentially just REVOLUTION and DAMN THE CONSEQUENCES.

Far cry 4 wasn't a game I initially didn't like on release because it was too similar to 3 in alot of ways. But after I waited a few years and played the whole thing I loved it and imo is the last truly good far cry. After that they dumbed everything more down for some reason and it didn't feel the same in the sequels.

I'm with you on this one, I went back to playing far cry 4 while I wait for God of war ragnarok, and holy shit I've been having such a blast. I especially love how the enemies call you out and begin to predict you strategies as you make progress. My game might have been glitched but at one point the enemies wouldn't fall for my rock throws (without being detected) and they just say "ahh I bet this is one of gHaLe's tricks" and more phrases like that, and I think that the best thing ever 😂

Although I get you prefer the FC4 setting more than the setting of FC6, I do feel based on this alone the point shouldn't go to FC4 in the open world category. Setting is just one aspect. I think FC6 has the best FC open world without a doubt, it offers gameplay and visual variety unlike other FC.

@@bartdierickx4630 You're a trooper I didn't go near FC2 until it was free in the PS store. The mancala game during PS home was enough for me to say too lame. But actually playing it...it was great. Then 3 hit and it was amazing. FC6 story line is crap...I think it's the first time I wanted to side with the "bad guy" since all we were offering as good guys was not to be under him. I think Synthetic guy pretty much nails everything that's wrong with FC6s storyline. FC4 to me out of all of them is the one that felt like it changed the least other than setting and characters. Very little new was added and most of the guns and animals had been in FC3. I felt while Pagan Min was interesting he wasn't enough to carry the game. I mean if I am forced to play one again I would take 4 over 6 for story and 6 because the tank makes life easier than the gyro copter. but my rank is 3,2,BD,5,Primal,4,6 and don't care about 1 or the 5 spin off

I likeed far cry 4, 5 and new dawn I belive if ubisoft could take the good ideas from those games and made it into something big you could get a "the ultimate far cry game" where the story and the game play and the environment are at its best.

Far Cry 4 was my favorite game, so far I have beaten 3, 4 and 6, can’t wait for blood dragon

i remember blood dragon, you have to play as this robotic beagle named rex and when you finish the story you get this spinning weapon that shoots a beam of explosives or something like that, oh yeah and dragons attack you with laser eyes.

Far Cry 4 really did capture the imagination with its stunning landscapes and immersive gameplay. The Himalayan setting added a unique flavor to the game, providing not only breathtaking scenery but also a sense of exploration and adventure. My favorite game in far cry series so far. I was simply in awe of the beauty of Kirat.

FC4 is by FAR my favorite FarCry.

If you play the side missions and pay attention to the dialogue, golden path members talking about how both choices are going to lead the country down a dark future with no middle ground, but it will still be better than pagan min.

You can take the health bars off in Far Cry 6 in the HUD settings. Just makes the game that much more immersive

You buggin FC6's music is awesome especially the one when you enter the game.

3 got me into the series, so it's in a category of it's own. I will say that personally I liked 4 better than 3, but that was only because it felt like it took the best parts of 3 and built on them. Riding elephants and flying personal gyrocopters were a really fun addition. Being able to replay outpost takedowns was nice too. 5 fell short but mainly due to the lack of protagonist and that annoying "kidnapping" thing that you can't avoid happening from time to time. The second part really breaks the flow of the game. The story was great, in my opinion, and placing it in the U.S. gave it a "homeland" feel for those of us who live there. I loved the open worlds in the others as well, don't get me wrong. 6, well, it's like they just remade 4 in a different setting. Also, the weapons and gear systems are pretty dull. All you have to do is buy a used copy of the game for less than 15 bucks and spend 20 bucks in the online store to get gear better than anything in the game. Overall, 4 gets the W because of it's originality and innovation.

I'd argue they did carry on the fortress thing from fc4 with the bunkers in fc5 🤷 I guess they're more like boss missions where as fc4 it felt more like a giant outpost

Far cry 4 is an ultimate classic… I’m sure far cry primal came about due to the spiritual missions in far cry 4

Honestly I'm seeing the relatability factor a lot here. I both liked Far Cry 5 as I myself am an American finding it awesome to have it set there and like Far Cry 6 as I have Cuban roots. But Far Cry 4 has a unique setting of the Himalayas which I can only remember Uncharted 2 using this setting. 4 is definitely underrated for it's setting and how it changed the series. But I like the island of Yara as I feel like I'm playing in Cuba (same goes for 5 and the American countryside).

I agree, far cry 5 was my fav and could have been the best of the series,,,but like everyone,those endings pretty much ruined it for me

Far Cry 4 was the only game in the series which i bothered to complete all side quests and take over all bases. Mainly it is due to the game's environment and story.

Far cry 4 will always have a special place in my heart lol. Always been my fave

FC4 travelled from 2021 back to 2014 in a time machine. At that time it was way ahead of its time. High rig still find it difficult to run on smooth frame rate

Far cry 4 has the most beautiful open world of the series to me. It's such a nice mix of India and Nepal's mountain regions and that region is generally breathtaking. Also that fantasy side world was just pure art.

My order of favorite to least favorite up until recently was 3, primal, 5, 4, new dawn (at the time I didn't play 1, 2, or 6) but I've been playing through 2 recently and it is quickly climbing the list above. So far its right behind 3 for me (only because the stealth being such a weak mechanic) but it may become my favorite if it finishes strong

I can play far cry 6 forever because of the gameplay, it's so satisfying

Being a native Hindi speaker, I love to read the sign boards, hear the cursing by guards and specially listen to the dialogues in Sangri La missions. Vice City was my first good PC game which introduced me to the gaming, but Far Cry 4 is the first one that made me appreciate and understand the story. It's the only game that I have completed it thrice 😊

Ok now this is pretty cool i didint know the pepole in kyrat/far cry 4 were speaking hindi i thougth that it was just a random made up language like they did in far cry primal

Far cry 4 is a classic! I remember playing it on a 970 in 2014! I loved how you where the bad guy the whole game too Because Pagan Min just wanted you to stay and enjoy the crab Rangoon but you decided to wonder off helping the golden path. It also made me mad at the end seeing Amita Taking kids away from there family! Pagan Min is the good guy the whole game!

The "Battle Royal" in the temple of Farcry 4 (& difficulty/stealth kills) alone is what puts 4 above 5&6 for me.

I love you videos. I had specially been waiting for this once since the launch of far cry 6. I have just completed far cry 5 and now I started far cry 4. I'm sorry but stealth definitely goes to 6 lol I don't really understand your opinion on 4's stealth, Far cry 6s sound track is better for me mainly because of the intro music it's so vibey and I love it. Pretty much everything else I agree with besides maybe also the protagonists but I'd say they're equal for me(can't make a decision) but great vid man love the content 😁👍

Far cry 4s map is beautiful. Probably the best looking map in the franchise. People will say a tropical island setting fits better for far cry but I disagree.

Far Cry 4 was way better in my opinion. It improved the skill tree and gun play and introduced some fun guns like the crossbow. The fortress were fun to take on. Stealth in FC6 is broken, they can see you in bushes now. You have to be in the red flowers to hide. The enemy spawn in FC6 is broken. The story in 4 was way better than 5 or 6. You can make choices which changed mission in some parts. FC6 story could have been good, but they wrote PC woke trash to move their point. It's a put off. Though I am glad FC6 took out the forced story progression. FC6 I lost interest in after a month. I played FC4 (first on XB360 then PS4) and still do today.

@@cutehunter9659 after playing all FC i have to say 6 is better ,from an unbiased opinion ,the story line of 6 may not be the best but you have to admit the bigger maps and graphics are just way ahead of the others ,also the treasure hunts and the horse riding was a nice touch ,the unbelievable amount of weapons and how they sound ,and great dialogue from the protagonist ,the open world in Yara is much more beautiful , fanboys just have a strong connection with FC 3 and 4 but 6 is just way ahead in a lot of aspects ,i could go on and on

I like how many people says that they hate the health bars on far cry 6 but it is also there own fault for not turning it off on the settings to make it feel more less far cry new dawn style type rpg the only thing that doesn’t change is time to kill on enemy

farcry 4 and 3 are my fav in the series but m enjoying 6 alot

never completed a far cry game before even though i have played a lot of them recently bought 6 and am hoping to complete that and then go back to 3/4 and try to complete them as well

Yara feels like a train set, not a lived in world. Yara is supposed to be a tropical island but i don't get any feeling of temperature, no heat, no sweat, it just feels stale. 99% of the palm trees are exactly the same and straight up and down? There should be a jungle on the island, full of lore and interesting shite. Far Cry 6 needs more people on the beach, parties, crowded bars, bbq's, Yara is the lamest tropical island. We should of been tasked with supplying villages, winning them over, getting them ready for the revolution,. Each village could of had unique charactes(not pets) that could assist you, less significant characters you want to protect, and npc's could of had perma death to make the situation have more weight. Imagine being chased and having to go hide in a village that's on your side. Having to slowly buildup your rebel army and not travel too far from friendlies during the day. Having to weigh how you fight a mission so you don't lose friendly NPC's. Seeing villages get sad when one of them die. Far Cry always made you feel like a part of the world as much as you were fighting it, UBISOFT went the opposite direction with Far Cry 6 making it more like a minature golf course.

I love Jungles so much! And I love Far cry 3 because you could just go out into nature and not have to see anybody, Far Cry 6 wasn’t near as good.

I can totally agree with you on the protagonist of far cry 6 he feels detached from the antagonist and their isnt much depth to anton castillo. I think if he had more screen time he would have been so much of a better villian and could have built on his character much more.

Far cry 4 and far cry primal both have a perk to ride elephant and mammoth both are pretty much the sam + both have a boss form wich you get in game as a misson

Farcry 4 was a big deal for me because I thought FC3 was the best first person shooter I've played and even after playing FC5 and thoroughly enjoying it, FC4 still remains my favorite. And, I am in love with Ajay's character. I liked him more than Jason

Farcry 4 & 3’s feel is more stiff and more realistic and rough. The way Jason and Ajay moved was stiff and a bit rough, same for stealth you truly felt like an apex predator going after your prey. I liked that about the games how realistic the characters moved and the takedowns (preferably farcry 3) were awesome especially compared to 5 and New Dawn. 6 really got some cool animations but isn’t the same

i like the fact about far cry 4 that ur the son of the golden path creators and everyone views u like something special

I have such a hard time deciding between far cry 4 5 and 6 at which I like more, I have played all 3 and absolutely love all 3 of them. I loved the story of far cry 6 more than 5 but cant decide if its better than 4s story or not. If I have to be completely honest I did have more fun playing far cry 6 then 5 and 4, but I still had a lot of fun with 4 and 5. And I do agree that overall the far cry 4 sound track was better, that main theme song/ intro song for far cry 6 has been stuck in my head ever since I played it, idk why but I really love it.
