Thank you for your heart warming review, , spent 2 year+ working on this title. Some of the team members were extremely passionate and we tried to make something unique. Writers are from FC6, but they sure did their homework, and collaborated a lot with Mr. Mando, awesome talent.

Question why didn’t far cry 6 take a more cyberpunk 2077 route with its story telling and providing a lot more character interactions and development since both are first person rpg shooters kinda I felt like a lot of development could’ve been done outside of cutscenes with conversations with other characters taking place instead of being exposition heavy I really enjoyed far cry 6 in fact I’m playing it again with my friend and we’re having a blast but the story only seems to exist within the cutscenes and not outside of it

The role reversal of Vaas and Jason also fits with the narrative of FC3 where Vaas warned Jason about following his path.

Playing this DLC was a treat for me. I’ve always liked Vaas as a villain but putting him as the protagonist and Micheal Mando reprising his role was amazing. I think i liked Vaas as the protagonist more than anyone in farcry. His one liners are usually funny to me but i really liked how they humanized him. There were moments where he had sentimental views like how different him and sister became once they grew up. the gameplay i enjoyed a lot. I’m not usually a fan of rogue lite gameplay and this was pretty much what it was but i enjoyed repeating everything even though it was a little frustrating. Great DLC

Makes me hype for the pagan and joseph dlc

Honestly when I first started playing I absolutely hated it. But the further I got I realized it’s actually amazing And I love seeing Jason from Vaass’ point of view

Micheal Mando is a phenomenal actor. His work in Better Call Saul as Nacho Varga was also a masterpiece. You can see in Nachos last moments a bit of Vaas slip out

I think I finally understand vaas's speech about insanity: "insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over again expecting things to change" he's talking about how you (Jason) die, respawn, die, respawn, die, respawn having the same objective the whole time and probably doing the same thing that got you killed in the first place. "That's the true definition of insanity"

Loved this DLC, I can't wait to see what light Pagan's DLC is going to shed on the story of FC4, it is possibly still my favorite Far Cry game so I'm super stoked to dive deeper into its lore

I wonder what they're gonna do with the Joseph DLC considering the Deputy can be either gender and has a bunch of other problems like being silent, or they could just go the Judge route if they want to bring the deputy back.

I think Joseph Seeds story is going to be a pure prequel to fc5 with how he develops his cult. Or it would be interesting to see if they create a personality for the deputy.

Castillo could have more scenes. But I am still really liking it. It’s also a great open world with no bloated side missions.

I really love the little details like a couple new lines included for characters such as Oliver, Hoyt, and even Vince Salas.

I completely agree this dlc was a home run. I’m so excited for the next 2 and if they are the same quality as this one then this might be the best $40 value I’ve ever gotten from Ubisoft personally

Best DLC I've played in many years. This wasn't a Home Run, this was a Grand Slam 💯💯💯

I know I’m late. But I love this dlc. Knowing more of vaas’s backstory was cool. It was also super cool to see vaas react to church dude(I know his name but can’t spell it) version of the definition of insanity. I hope the other two dlc will be as good as this

The whole citra story arch was already posed in far cry 3. From vaas being separated from the tribe, the alienation from his friends caused by the overwhelming support and promise of power that comes from the battling he’s doing

Another case were Ubisoft makes dlc better than the main game. This has been a theme with Ubisoft since Ac Unity.

I loved this DLC. I agree, it was 10/10. Far Cry 6 was amazing too. Can't wait for the next 2 DLC releases. Far Cry do have good bad guys.

I hope the actor of Ajay Ghale returns and he will be more fleshed out aswell.

I mean the stuff in this dlc story for these characters have always been there in far cry 3 just now they expand on it even more. Far Cry’s villains’ actors have always been very passionate about their characters. I’m excited about the other two for Pagon and especially for the Father

Ill be honest I have been struggling to like far cry 6 like I loved 5, but this dlc helped me to appreciate the new game mechanics a lot more because I felt like in the Vaas dlc there was more room for trail and error and proper exploring of the weapons and how they’re best used, and I found myself less overwhelmed without all the little fetch quests 6’s main story likes to bombard you with right off the bat and the whole fact that you, for lack of better terminology, had to push yourself to “get good” before you could really move on and actually collect the blade pieces without getting obliterated really helped me to learned what to expect when entering complex combat scenarios in this game.

Far Cry 6 : Insanity DLC 🤝Deathloop Don`t die, because you will lose your progress and must start over and over again.

Personally my favorite villian is the Jackal from far cry 2 but this dlc looks amazing

Amazing video, one suggestion id like to make is to look into the Bloodline dlc from Watch dogs Legion, there's a mission where you go into Aiden Pearce's head and its so good, rest of the dlc and main game is just kind of meh but that mission blew my mind. Again, great video :)

Michael Mando is a special actor. Just see his role in Better Call Saul as Nacho, hell even that brief 15 or so seconds as Scorpion in Spider-Man Homecoming is one of the bright spots of that movie.

I'm really proud of Ubisoft this year dude- they really came through with FarCry 6 and this dlc- it's awesome

oh man if all of the 3 DLCs are all about emphasizing the villain's point of view seeing how crazy and antagonizing the main characters that we've played were, I'd be intrigued.

The first time I played this dlc I was tripping acid and tbh I felt like I was going insane.

It's got my hopes up for the next two. As he said, like most Far Cry 3 is my favorite of the main games. Out of the sides games and DLC, Primal is still my favourite.

I loved the dlc and I’m surprised that I haven’t die once yet and i’am currently running mind level four for better guns over and over again so I can have a breeze for five. I loved what they did with everybody in the dlc it felt like I could understand all views especially Vaas

I cannot wait for the Pagan Min DLC, Far Cry 4 is one of my favorite games ever and I would love to see the art direction from the Shangri La missions return. I can totally envision 3 mini bosses, The "elephant" represented by Sabal, The "Tiger" represented by Amita and the "Snake" represented by Mohan and maybe even Ishwari.

@@Pablo-ig7tx IIRC Ishwari was a spy for the Golden path and its implied by Yuma that Pagan was either blinded by his love for her or willingly ignored it.

Keep your expectations low and you will never be disappointed

As hard it is, you can easily get op imo. Got maxed out on the perks and jumped 4 or 5 levels only dying once. Pretty fun though. A steal with Ubisoft+ for me too.

All you need is the perk "immune" and the ability to takdown enemies from the front. Turns out poison is stronger than I thought it was.

That shows that writing is the most important thing in video games, every time in far cry franchise we play an adventure game to destroy the villian in the end without question as to who he is? and why? and in far cry 5 they focused on this theme of grey intentions of both sides while wanting to bring order, and i loved that your actions are not black and white. Yes far cry 5's point system of destroying something in a specific area were not the best decision but it really helped to see villian's perspective without too much pointless talking that were boring in previous games. I think that they haven't changed much of the story from original, but changed how story is presented, and expanded on villans origin

I'm so excited for Pagan control, cus it might be a potential continuation for Ajay's secret ending, where he teams up with Pagan. Let's goooooo!!!

Far Cry really shines in some of its DLC. The Heart of Darkness DLC for Far Cry 5 on its hardest difficulty is my favorite game in the whole series

Cant wait to see a future game w vaas the secret ending well Im taking that as vaas survived the events of far cry 3 and jason was a lil to high to finish him off so thats why we see him all tom hanks castaway style.

Jason's VA really brings his A game here. This is fuckin' awesome

1:37 Citra is the real villain. The difference is that now we see Jason the way we used to see Vaas. Some kind of drug makes Jason really scary... What Citra did to Jason and Vaas... The impact on them is detrimental. Vaas saw it. He went through this shit "becoming a warrior". "You are me, and I am you" Neither of them were villains... Citra was.

Coming back to say I feel the exact same way with both this and the just released pagan DLC

I definitely searched it up, due to me really not liking Far Cry 6 from what I've seen, but I'm really hyped for the DLCs thanks to the supposed lore drops (which you proved right). I might still not buy the game full price, but I'll definitely keep a lookout for a lower priced version of the game and its DLCs (or just straightup logging into Ubisoft+)

What would have elevated it more is if the harder difficulty you play on the more the map opens up and shows more references, maybe show like hoyts Island and maybe explain the vass and far cry 6 connection. I just got the game and the dlc so I don't know what is in store after I find all the Intel but I love it

I think they did Vaas right I like the idea of starting over I was sooo close to the end and died so frustrating but I passed the next try was more careful on what I did when I attack so on but yea very very good job Ubisoft

Rogue like is an excuse to not do linear story. This dlc being rogue-like is why I’m not buying the FC6 Gold version. Will grab the game in another years time as I can’t stand rogue elements

This dlc is one of the best game DLCs ive played and ive played few but tbh i was waiting for bigger map and maybe Jason outfit

Everyone is talking about how its very talented but did you notice the father on the screen???? im glad hes coming back tbh!

the only thing missing from this DLC (and from the other DLCs too) was an outfit for the protagonist. i think a jason and an ajay outfit would be cool. i don't say the deputy because we already got their shirt, but i guess a full outfit would be cool too.

I'm convinced that Ubisoft devs release bare bones and basic main games and show their creativity in DLC.

4:09 I did not know that Citra was pitting Vaas and Jason against each other throughout the course of the story in Far Cry 3. If Vaas won, and turned out to be the stronger warrior, what was the end goal here? Citra wanted a warrior (Jason) so that she could breed the next generation of warriors (as seen ending cinematic of Far Cry 3), so if Vaas had been the more ideal warrior, surely she would not have bred with her own brother?

Yep! She would have had brother-nephews. I don't think she would have killed vaas b/c he would have known the prophecy. Mostly, Citra wanted control over the strongest warrior and that wasn't going to happen with vaas with hoyts influence and the drugs. Initially, vaas wasn't a character. Citra's lover Bull basically was vaas. They were so impressed with Mando that they scrapped bull consolidating his story into the additional elements written for vaas. From the writing room bull and Citra weren't related, but I guess they kept the relationship part the same b/c it was just one more f'd up element.

I wonder for the jospeh dlc we'll see the deputy as some apocalyptic demon

It would be funny if Far Cry 6 reads your previous save file from 5 and the deputy appears as your deputy from the game. Like how Dragon Age Inquisition did it with the Hawk.

This is one of the best DLC I've played in a video game. I loved playing as all 3 villains and after completing them, I feel like I got to know and understand them more. Great job Ubisoft.

You know I was actually thinking during this dlc wene I play a ubisoft game I always go airplane mode and shoot the bad guys. but this was kinda hard and was really fun I haven't even completed the dlc but the systems are great. like you say you can search for supply's and better guns and you could bash the enemy's or you could be super unprepared it gives you freedom it not a straight line you its just great

Definitely not what most of the fanbase thinks but with far cry 4 being my favourite in the series I'm extremely excited to play Pagan's version in January. I really really loved this.

I agree. I actually think 4 is my most favorite Far Cry all around and I wish Pagan got more screentime.

I got an ad for this DLC on this video

Because the game didn't have enough save spots, and dying lost you progress, and the enemies could become infinite, and I was unable to beat level 1 on Action mode so I had to play Story mode... I didn't have fun. I will level up, get better perks, etc., then try again on Action mode. Maybe I will change my (Insane) mind.

I would love to be able to buy the DLCs standalone

Willis on far cry 3 says he won't go into the jungle because you start to lose yourself then Jason starts losing himself which we see in the dlc love it
