I had the same problem and I found the cause. TURN OFF VPN! Go to your phone settings and make sure you don't have any VPN running as it will prevent the firmware update.

after stalling at 99% for 15 minutes, I restarted devices, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, still got glitches! but tried using the app to disconnect to the device and reconnecet a few times and finally seemed to work for some reason. Don't know why it takes disconnecting and reconnecting a bunch of times to get it to work, same thing sometimes happens when I connect my SD card reader to my computer....

try closing the screenon the x3, check the box in the upper right corner

I have insta360x3 and I unable to connect with my Android phone. im using Android 13. It connecting to iPhone device but not Android device.. please help.

I had the same problem, but closing all running apps on my iphone and restarting the phone solved the problem. Maybe it will work for others too.

the simple thing is my house do not have 4g signal. thats why got this video and also thing I got I mention in the video if no mistake. is a joke when Malaysia start sharing about 5g but my house in city center do not have 4g signal

Hello, I have the problem that the camera does not update the firmware, it performs the whole operation but when you check the version it is still the old version, I already tried to update through the app and also the SD card and nothing, it is disappointing not to be able to count on the new functions that the update brings, I contacted insta360 and they asked me to send the camera to I can't believe that they can't solve this problem remotely, if someone has the same problem and was able to solve it, it would help me a lot to know their experience

I purchased the Insta 360X3, installed the latest firmware approx 88mb. Right after the update the camera switched off with blue flashing light. I have tried multiple times to switch on & off the camera. The screen no longer switches on. Please help fix.

Can share what was the solution so everyone can try to apply it? I had the same problem. Suspected my phone was going to 'sleep'. So i just kept tapping the screen to keep it awake until the firmware upgrade completed. also i notice on mine the % progress is not the same between the app vs the camera

Save in microsd with card reader. Put in camera power on it should auto update

All you have to do is restart your your phone and perform the update once again. Worked for me 🫡

not work that way . when early state . there is problem on frimware . as mention in post the problem slove by just appy the new one get from customer service. you may not facing this now. i guess.
