That mode would just be a 50:50 game because 1. Nf3 so black has to play f6 now white knows black has to play f6 therefore the following happens 1. e3 f6 Now here comes the 50-50 part 2. Bb5 (insert bad move here) 3. Game over If black knows to play c6 then 2. Bb5 c6 But white also knows black can play c6 so white plays: 2. Qh5 c6 3. Game over Now black also knows about this so the game becomes Can black predict white's move or not which is either Bb5 or Qh5 then also if he does predict it, the game only continues so it's just too good for white

I think your opponent in the first game of the "WORST GAME EVERRRRR" chapter was using an engine to cheat. Lichess has a free engine that can analyze atomic chess positions and games, and their engine shows that white played the best move on every single move. If you watch the game again and pay attention to the move times, you'll see they're very suspicious too. Really sad.

I used to play "Pacifist Chess", where any piece captured is immediately re-patriated to Boardland, on any square you wish, with the exception that white-controlling and black-controlling bishops must be placed on the appropriate color square. Obviously, the object is to collect the opponent's forces some distance from their king, leading to a quick checkmate. Other tactical situations arise as well, where you can replace a piece at a great disadvantage to your opponent. Pawns cannot be placed on the first rank, and you don't want to put them on the eighth!

@@walugusgrudenburg3068 @Daridon248 Well, first off, in my opinion, it's not well designed. I played it once for about 3 hours, and instantly disliked it. It's a chess "mod" but trying to tack on a dozen or more things that would've just made it better if they didnt use chess. It doesn't work with Chess, IMO. Both of you are judging it through the lens of a Chess Mod rather than an independent game. *That's fine, I'm not trying to be toxic or put anyone down* - I just have a different criteria than both of you. I look for different things and some of the things you may enjoy are things I don't find a good inclusion. And, IMO, The core "Chess" gameplay was a mistake, which overall makes me NOT recommend it. I would talk more about the specific things I don't like but I honestly haven't looked at or played it in a long time, so I don't recall the exact reasons.

I've seen and analysed that line before, (because I fell for the e5 trap, and so set the engine loose on it to prepare) it's a good line to know - but this was pretty obviously someone cheating as they play.
