I've been using the twist tie gallon baggies, put meat in them, then into freezer Ziploc. That way I can reuse the Ziploc baggie and only throw the twist tie baggie away

When pouring something like cheese in another container, I do it over a plate. If something falls I either eat it or put it in the bag.

Yep, thought along those lines while watching. I place salt-dispensers into a cup or small bowl for refilling, so any spilt salt is caught, put in the dispenser and the surroundings stay clean!

I always store my onions in the fridge. I agree. Also leave the stem side intact as long as possible that also cuts back. I will cut it down the middle through both ends ( tip and stem). The I cut off the tip end and peel off the peels and save for stock in a freezer bag. but I leave the stem connected and slice or dice up to it. Also toss the ends in the freezer bag for stock. I add my celery and carrot peels to the same bag as well and then when I have chicken bones toss in a pot with water or a crock pot. 😊 Free stock.

A friend showed me how to dry those zip lock bags; get a hanger, clip a couple of clothes pins and attach them to the bottom rung of the hanger. Hang your hanger someplace to clip your washed baggies upside down onto your hanger. Try to dry them off so they aren’t dripping when you hang them.

I just figured out why your “store onions 🧅 in the fridge so no tears” 😭 works for you - you’re using white onions, not yellow! It doesn’t work for yellow onions. ☹️ They are so much stronger. We tried getting white onions, but they don’t have as much flavor as yellow onions. Hubby likes the stronger yellow onions, so HE can cut them up! 😜

@@LivingOnADime Wow! Really! We’ve always stored our onions in the refrigerator and yellow onions really do a number on me. 😭 Maybe I am just more sensitive? I wonder if I actually popped them in the freezer for a while, right before I know I’m going to cut some up, if that would help me?
