Question to David ........ If he has had an Achilles flare up, why not use some racing flats instead of spikes....especially as first track session back..... or use for first 3-4 and see if ok...then switch to spikes (not always easy with rec.)

Interesting that they're doing drills on the curve. Is that just because they're doing a track session?

They warmed up on the straight. That track is 400+ meters ... so you are gonna hit all the corners doing 500m reps

Maybe you can try their workout and hit those 72-73 s reps... and let us know it went with shorter recovery.

Not really too much when you're doing these kind of hard reps. 1:4 to 1:8 work recovery ratio is warranted.
