Story 2: Really a horrible? it's an LDR, you communicate what you want, not expect things to happen only to be disappointed. Was the dude supposed to read the girl's mind? But he took a trip, yeah he was probably invited with no reason to refuse, not like anyone told him to do something else instead. "I don't want a relationship where I have to say what I want." any relationship made from this logic is bound to end. Wouldn't tell an friend who was awful to her, why would she need to know? What's the point in that? and It's not easy to introduce someone to your parents who lives too far away. She should communicate with him rather than asking complete strangers, because she might get people saying "Oh no, he's so horrible to you"

This was my take aswell infact the op seems to be the toxic one here. She got upset with him for respecting her wishes and also he is allowed to do his own thing with friends. But for you to complain that he doesn’t visit after you state that you don’t want him to visit is absolutely horrible. Also he gives so many gifts and when you actually wanted him to go he did. So how is the the jerk when it is you they are actually the jerk because your toxic, somewhat controlling actually and yeah he hides his relationship because he wants it to be between just you 2 no one else needs to be involved

The op in story 2 is ridiculous. She told him she didn't want him there & got mad he didn't show up. Something tells me he isn't telling his family about her bc he can see the red flags & wants to wait. Also, she's mad he told someone that he's in a relationship & isn't interested in messing around but she's mad that he didn't name who he's dating? And she's upset he does stuff for his parents even though she says she's not. Why bring it up if not? He needs to run bc she wants everything in his life to be all about her & she needs to realize the world doesn't revolve around her & she's obviously narcissistic as hell.

Story 2: OP is still distraught over the health event. This is understandable and does not make them a jerk as they are not being aggressive or rude. However, they wish for their boyfriend to read their mind and stop his life for them. That is not how it works. OP needs to clearly communicate how they feel or else the relationship will end. Communication and respect are the fundamentals to a healthy relationship. To me, it seems the boyfriend respects OP and OP respects the boyfriend. It just seems OP lacks communication skills in this situation. I think AITJ’s bias is coming out. The BF is not in the wrong for not revealing his relationship. If he is doing the traveling and not OP then announcing the relationship needs to wait until OP becomes more of a reoccurring entity in his life. -- Story 3: OP needs to leave. She is trying to rush the relationship to try and get permanent residency. Also, to me it sounds like she was hoping she had a kid with OP in an attempt to baby trap him and the guilting him to marrying her. OP needs to leave.

Yeah I definitely agree on story 2 that the boyfriend isn't really doing anything wrong from his end. But that's because OP needs to communicate with him how they feel.

1st story makes me think of my own roommate that I used to have. Not to be confused with my current roommate who's great btw. So, old roommie and I had a deal when we moved in together. I would pay the rent, while he paid for utilities and food. I worked while he was on SSI, so since I made more than him, I thought it was fair since rent cost more than utilities and food combined, and I would still end up buying food for myself anyway if I really wanted something. To clarify, this was my idea, not his. Well, he was also obsessed with video games to an unhealthy degree. I love games too, but he would put games above food every time. He would start the month off by paying the utilities, set $50 to the side for food for the entire month, and then blow the rest on video games. This bothered me, since $50 is not enough to feed 2 people for an entire month, especially since he was a bigger guy and ate twice as much as me, but I for the most part sucked it up and just bought my own groceries when we'd run low on food. Then, it happened. He came to me with a bill from the water company for $64, with a shut off notice for non-payment. He'd already spent his money on games, and didn't have enough to cover the bill. I asked him why he hadn't paid the water bill the past 2 months, and he said he didn't think they would care since it wasn't that much, so he held off so he could buy more game. He was planning to sell his PS4 to get the money, but considering this would have been the 3rd time he'd sold and re-purchased the same system, I made a deal with him. I would pay the water bill, if he agreed to give me his PS4. He would still be allowed to play it, and it would still stay in the living room, but if we ever decided to stop living together, then it would be mine. He agreed, and that's how I got a $300 gaming system for only $64. This was many years before the PS5, btw. This is just one of many reasons why he is no longer my roommate.

Story 2: "boyfriend isn't a good person" dude sounds like he has his hands full and the OP is so freaking conceited that she refuses to understand that or take accountability for her own decision she could have easily told her boyfriend to come see her at any point but instead wants this dude to act like a dude in a rom com and put his entire life on hold for her and make her the center of his universe. Reality check for anybody who thinks like this it's in movies because it is a fantasy.

Lastly, everyone is nervous about introducing their relationships to their parents, doubly so a long distance one, seems pretty normal. I feel like this is making a tempest in a glass of water, sounds like he is being respectful and supportive, but that he is not a confrontational person.

I have a friend going through the citizen process, they're married and have a baby but it's taken more then two years and she still isn't finished. It's a long process. Not that a lot of people realize that. Most likely the girl is after him because he has a house and seems stable. From the sounds of it, I bet the implant isn't there. 11:15 I see this completely different; it seems to me the op is having a pity party while the boyfriend is doing what he can from a distance. We need his side of the story. He's obviously been there for op, who admitted that she straight up told him not to come to the hospitol because she didn't want to be seen like that. So he of course respected her wishes not to embarrass her. He's apparently the type to avoid unnecessary drama, and maybe his parents have expressed negative opinions about long distance relationships. That vacation with friends was probably planned and set in stone months in advance because most jobs won't just let you take a week off without a crap ton of notice, plus trip accommodations. So he still tried to work in extra time to go see her despite a tight schedule. And the fact that he offered to come immediately indicates that he would drop things for an emergency but can't justify missing work for pleasure dates all the time. He's taking the time to call every day and also being the emotional support without complaining how it's affecting him. I'm sure there's some depression or something happening around the whole medical experience which is coloring op's feelings of being alone.

The story about the boyfriend priorities, dunno the reason why he hides his relationship with OP, but the way she speak about him, don't know the distance nor how much work it is to go see her, but he seems to have a few more responsibility then her and might not be sure of this relation. The reason are the red flag with OP, who knows how long his college friend trip was prepared, maybe even before the surgery, because it isn't something you do on the drop of the head and I find it normal to still do while on a relationship. There is also the fact that he still call everyday and sent gift. He might have took a little too long to visit, but you didn't tell me he could after a certain time from what she mention on her story, waiting that he guess what you want. Yeah the OP in story 2 sounds like she's expecting the BF to read her mind from a distance away. And it's an LDR who is to say that the boyfriend is not comfortable disclosing it to his family yet. hello i like to share a story so whats happing am 10 years old and what just happend was my dad and my older brother just came back from judo i didnt go today beacuse my toe was hurting but anyways back to the story i was just watching tv in my room when i heard my brother and dad talking about something in the kitchen when i went to cheak it out they were talking about how someone punched my dad in the face something i didnt say about is that my dad just got his wisdom teeth out i think i know it was something wrong with his teeth to cause him pain so anyways this what happend well at judo my dad got punched by a kid he was 16 years old or 17 so what was happing was my dad was having a fight with a other guy lets just call him nick tbh i never really rembered anybody at judo beacuse of my bad mermomery but what i heard he sounded like a jerk so they were having a talk and stuff and they start saying swears at eachother and rember am not here am at home right now so anyways they fighing then this assholes demon of a child came and him my dad likily it wast where my dad got his wisdom teeth removed you see i dont know what happend after this but i do know the next part and what this demon of child said in my dads words he said that this kid said 'why dont you suck my long dic_ you know what i mean so the next part when they were driving home something about a crash almost happing but no crash happend and wouldnt you know it it was between my dad and this jerk nick if this comment gets lots of likes i will do part 2 please make a video of this

I disagree with the commentary on the 2-nd story. I see lack of communication on the side of the OP. She is expecting stuff from her bf, without having communicated to him her wishes. It's true that the the bf doesn't have as much of an initiative as the OP wants him to, but I was left with the impression, that he's also insecure, so these traits of his can be correlated. Can there be something nefarious going on - sure... but is the information provided in the post enough for us to reach this conclusion? Definitely not. A conversation needs to be held between the OP and her bf before any conclusion can be made.
