I think there are no perfect parents, but great ones, for me at least, means: whenever they weren't good, they knew that, and made efforts to be better -- or the things we think as bad from them now are something that we laugh about and tell to our friends. Like my mom grabbing 1 of her slippers signaling that she would hit me when I screw up, never hit me, never came near me with the slipper in had even, was her 'idiom' to signal me to my room hahaha (to be honest, half of the time I made her angry just to see her limping with 1 slipper on)

On the second time, I would've immediately told this guy no. It doesn't take rocket science to know what he was up to, and the fact you as well as the other employees were warned about this guy was definitely a sign of how that day was gonna go down.

In regards to the last story. It sounds like there is someone he wants to sleep with (as in have sex with) and wants to do it guilt free.

Guy in the first story should have had charges put on him for vandalism every time he decided to purposely hit the sweeping arm. They most likely have cameras and could prove what he was doing in court, then ban him for life.

im a bowler myself there is one rule in bowling never interrupt someone who is bowling or never screw with the bowling alley

First story, I would have confronted him at the entrance and say to him "You're barred from being in here until you pay for the damages and that GOES for league night too!"

This fuckwad deserves *far worse* than to be banned from the bowling alley. I don't know what would've been worse, but given what he did, he should've been not allowed ever again to visit this, or any other bowling alley in town.

Story 1: You've got some serious anger issues to get that mad over bowling. I'm really surprised the manager didn't ban the guy after this stunt. Doing that once could've been seen as an accident, but 5 times?? He's clearly just trying to cause trouble and should've been banned before. Glad he got banned and arrested but should've been over the original stunt, not breaking the balls and the doors. Story 2: Either the mom is in denial, or is a complete leech from the "hand-outs" the OP gets... along with covering rent and food and whatnot. Once the OP does get their internship at the big city, hopefully they set some serious boundaries with the mom here, because it looks like she could possibly sabotage the OP's career chances here. I'd be looking to go low-contact with her. Don't cut her out, but put in some serious limitations here. Story 3: The OP is not a jerk at all. If anything, she seems a bit too nice and is clearly being used by the cousin/aunt. They are clearly the selfish ones, and good at gaslighting and manipulation too. Hopefully the OP never has to deal with them again, they dont need them in their lives, especially with how poorly the majority of their family was. Story 4: He wants a one-year break after seven years??? Hes either extremely insecure, or is he up to some very shady stuff on the side. Anyone who wants a break or split because they want to "find themselves" use it a cop out to bad things, generally unfaithfulness.

I would have banned him for life and confronted him as he entered the bowling alley for league night telling him he was banned and served him a notice of trespassing.

Story 1: Entitled dad seems like the type of bowling alley patron who would use a hammer to break a watermelon rind patterned bowling ball and say “This here watermelon’s done gone baaaad!”

For the man for the bowling alley I'm glad he's banned and all the other stuff happened to him I'm a bowler myself and stuff like that really gets on my nerves especially if y do it intentionally also $20 bucks for an hour dear God I'm glad I bowl at my alley ive been going to for the past 19 years

Story 2: Mom, OK, I'll continue working for that company if that makes you very happy. BUT, I will not be accepting any freebies they will be giving me moving forward. If I were to be forced by them to take the freebies, I will be giving it to some random person I get to meet first. HOW'S THAT MOM!! HOW'S THAT MOM!! YOU HAPPY ABOUT THAT!!

It isn’t fair to ask someone to put their life on hold for an entire year to wait for them. If they wait just to find out the other person moved on that would be devastating. Besides if OP has so little trust in him to begin with that’s a red flag signaling they should not be together.

probably not, but if it's such a chore to wait a year then yes they should separate, but it's not fair to say they can't have that time. would you punish someone who needs that time just because how you feel about it?

That last story is....somthing. They are/were in a relationship for 7 years and she doesn't trust him enough to go on break for a year to figure things out? Its sounds like its one of those situations where the guy needs a change of scenery to clear his head, if you ask me. Early into me and my fiancés relationship, we went on a month break because she needed to figure things out and we have been together for almost 2 years after that. The guy probably has alot on his plate and he needs a break, not just from his gf, from everything. That being said, he shouldnt expect her to wait for him, but if she truly loved him she would wait for the single year and if he didnt come back, then she would move on.

@@AnimeGamer501st we took a break after the first month of our relationship, and we have been nearly inseparable since we got back together. Plus we talked with each other every other day aswell. Also, she wouldnt be able to forgive herself if she cheated on me.

While I admit that in the last story both people have some problems, it sounds like the OP doesn't actually love her boyfriend at all. If I loved my girlfriend I would wait a year for her to "find herself" and the only thing that would make me stop loving her would be if she cheated on me or wanted me to renounce my faith. The fact that she said she has that little trust in her boyfriend tells me they shouldn't be a couple at all... I hope they can both figure out their lives and what they want from it

@@viviennemorgan7217 its not a break up, it is a break. Early into my relationship my gf (now fiancé) wanted a break for a undisclosed about of time. I was prepared to have to wait months if i had to. Luckily i didnt have to and we were back together in about a month. If you love a person, you want them to be happy. The man is clearly not happy in this current situation he is in, and its unfair to him for her to keep him from figuring out what he wants to do.

Last story: Kinda sounds like they aren't right for each other imo. Both want different things and aren't finding a happy medium. OP is mentally and emotionally drained by her bf's situation, and he is choosing to leave instead of working things out, or going together to therapy. I hope his suggestion to leave, and have her wait for a year, wasn't a case of "I want to see other people, but also want you as a backup gf in case I can't find someone else"
