He was one of the most good looking men! Unforgettable!

Seven years ago we met Barry and he told my wife and I how this song came about. Barry and his brother Paul were visiting Richard Harris and Richard played them the demo of Macarthur Park that was going to be released. Paul was impressed, went home, stayed in his room for thee days and came out with this song Eloise. Barry did not believe that it would work but Paul did. History has shown that both Eloise and Macarthur Park are two of the most fabulous pieces of music produced at that time.

When my son passed his driving test, I came in and our Victorian house was shaking as he was playing this song at full blast as it was the only way he could describe his elation at passing, the last part especially.

Immensely sad to hear that Barry has left us. Eloise was a blueprint track for my teenage years ( I was 14 in '68); no doubt for tens of thousands of others of that vintage as well. RIP Barry. Eternal thanks for the music.
