Barry Ryan's appearance on the "Wetten Dass...?" show singing his hit "Eloise", together with members of the Bachchor Würzburg during their tour called "Rock meets Classic".
Choir, Orchestra and Band conducted by Christian Kabitz.
September 21st 1991.
The show was hosted by Thomas Gottschalk, guests among others were Arnold Schwarzenegger, Anthony Perkins, Glenn Close, David Hasselhoff, Simply Red, Gary Brooker from Procol Harum and Peter Maffay.
In the Choir singing Hans-Christian Jabusch, Ursula Basler-Petsch, Michaela Schlotter, Oliver Neumann, Monika Giegerich, Peter Marino and Matthias Eichele.

Mit 15 war ich total verknallt in Barry Ryan,er war mein traummann und mein zimmer war voll von seinen postern. Ich bin jetzt 66 und ich liebe diesen song nach wie vor und natürlich auch Barry Ryan Habe heute erst erfahren das er letztes Jahr grstorben ist und ich war grschockt. Er war mein grosses Idol
So etwas wie "der beste Song aller Zeiten" kann es naturgemäß niemals geben.

Yes I agree its gotta be the best live version on here.Just amazing.Ive searched this song all night to see the different versions and most of them are Barry miming but this is the real deal.I love the 80s techno style sounds too.Its a pleasure to listen too and watch.

A fantastic version of Eloise by Barry Ryan with the Bachchor Wu"rzburg orchestra. I was friends with the original band The Majority from Hull East Yorkshire who backed Barry on this record in 1968. RIP Barry.

Great song, great singer. I remember his mother, Marion, who was a very good singer too. Sad that Paul died so young.
Eloise is my dad’s favourite song, so I’ve heard it 500 times. This version is amazing. Barry towards the end was happy to turn up but let the arrangement down. .

Never heard of Barry or Paul or this song and am only here cos I recently heard Frank Sinatra song " I will drink the wine" by Paul Ryan ..so I googled his name and this popped up ..and video of them both singing in the 60s...never knew of them .
