I realized that after when I was editing. In the moment I was far too distracted by the child about to be eaten 😭

Book wise perrin's sense of smell etc is so refined that he can put together what happened afterwards through use of it. I was wondering how they would translate to visual medium and I feel like this is a good in between.

Haha, that is such a great point about Egwene going to the White Tower only to end up doing the same dishes as before.

I was gonna comment the same thing.

Finally, someone understands Moiraine's status. So many people are sick of Show Moiraine being disgusting to Lan, but they don't get the context. It's like being an Olympic runner then suddenly someone tears out ALL your limbs. Sure you can eat, talk and watch TV, but are you going to be loving and caring after being raped and mutilated? People have been cruel for the tiniest traumas, and Moiraine has had the worst fate a character in WoT could ever have. It doesn't justify what she does, but we can't be high and mighty when we can't put ourselves in her shoes. (Although the Show likes us to deliberate whether she's Stilled or Shielded, part of the recurring guessing game.)

So true! Moiraine's behaviour isn't nice or fair but she's clearly still hurting and traumatized and we often can't be our best selves in those times. Couple that with how close he is to her and it makes it even more difficult. If only there were mental health services in this world lol

This honestly. I felt like Lan wasn't being understanding enough of her situation. Being gentled/stilled is extremely traumatic and typically people who are gentled/stilled end up committing suicide because of how torturous it is to be able to feel the One Power but not touch it.

It's been so long, I'd almost forgotten how delightful it is to watch your reactions, Aisha. Witty and insightful! Looking forward to the rest of the season!

Yeey you're back reacting to this! About being stilled (when a female user of the One Power is cut off from being able to use weaves), the best way to conceptualise it is that it's like a heroin addict being forced to suddenly go cold turkey except that you have heroin constantly dangled in front of you. In the books the One Power has an addictive quality to it and users of the One Power who have been gentled/stilled can still feel the One Power, they just can't touch it. It's such a huge torment that almost all of them kill themselves.

You bring such a nice emotional depth to your reviews. Love!

Nynaeve is a badazz but i was like don't drink that!!!😮 Lan is my homie he needs to leave old girl Moraine (leaving at night by herself with no powers, almost getting both her & Lan killed-then getting mad at HIM for losing against 3 fades 😅🙄 ) & bond with Nynaeve instead since they're already is love. I get the frustration at Moiraine but it's obvious she's not thinking clearly right now. She's hurt and lashing out at who's closest to her - which is Lan. The reality is she needs a woman's touch more than anything while she heals, and the Amyrlin seat is MIA so it's gonna be a bumpy ride. But I do agree that I want him to spend more time with Nynaeve 😁

@@AishaWilson I'm quite certain she is pushing him away on purpose. She likely realizes she will get him killed if she cannot use her powers while still being on a quest for Rand. Tough love AND traumatized.

36:00 i dont think she was trying to find the fades, more I think Bayle Domon's comment about two hooded riders tipped her off that Fades were tracking her down and were getting very close so she disappeared in the night to lead them away from Lan, Verin and Adeleas. (Tomas as well but I dont think Moiraine would consider him when she made the plan)

If Lan wants a flaming sword he'll have to go become a Warder for someone else. Someone who would use the One Power to make their Warder's sword flaming instead of throw fire directly.

Great to find you. I love seeing what non-readers glean from the adaptation, it helps me understand the choices made in the writing room. Do you remember why Egwene doesn’t want to use her hands to channel even though it would be easier? I thought it was a great call back to S1 . They all had trauma and it’s nice that the show isn’t just brushing it off, they’ll need to work through.❤

Loviley Review ....so excited but I dont want watch all 3 at once .. So I think those things they fighting in the end have many names but the show called them Fade , Eyeless. I think this epi we see they are able to shadow span , or use darkness to fade in and out. IT reinforces that Tom Meriland was bad ass last season when he said " I can see you...and also that Darth Matt might be able to see them too, but that can't be good . I have some ideas about Sister Strong Jaws but I don't know if its spoiler since I havent read books but seems like she could be person who finds dark arts to use harry potter terms ....like whatever the Aes Sedai think is evil. She sees as judgemental , and only care if it is power she shielded Naeve I think as test....she wants to control the weapon or at least know it won't be turned on her ...

if it makes you feel better, the actress said it was sweet ice tea shw was drinking.
