The manga loses focus after a certain amount of figures. Ultimately Kingdom does strategy better too.

As someone who loves history, I like watching Drifters. I've rewatched it a couple times and this is making me want to rewatch it again. Some things may be lost if you don't know the person in history, but overall, it's a great show.

Almost every authors/artists in Japan started out in the porn doujinshi industry. (Especially the older generation of authors/artists) Heck, most of em started out as assistants to their local mangaka or doujin circle.

this was a pleasant surprise! this is one of, if not my favourite anime but its extremely underrated..glad to see it gettin some recognition

The animation is this is too crispy. Plus, that gory type aesthetic to it and a banger OPENING. Season 2: NEED THAT expeditiously.

Something you might have misunderstood. When Nobunaga was encouraging Toyohisa to sit down, he was actually defering to him and treating him as their leader. One usually doesn't give up their seat to their subordinate after all.

Season 1 and an OVA. The characters referenced in the show are famous people in history. Many of them are Japanese, but you'll see some others you're more likely to recognize. You can check out Sengoku Basara for Japanese History with the anime treatment.

Drifters first chapter was published on april 30th 2009 still ongoing with only 79 chapters released, it gets updates every 3 months or so. Gonna be a while brother

just a tibit of information, carthage was a Phenician colony in north africa (modern tunisia), that became so powerful if made it's own colonies. No relation to Greece whatsoever (except commerce). Rome and Carthage did not see eye to eye, in fact there were three big wars called the Punic wars between the two. so the two hate each other on principle because one is from rome and the other from carthage, even if they admire each other as military commanders and strategists.

just to give a frame a referents samurai were head hunter, In the samurai code (bushido) ones honorand status can't be increase unless you bring the head of your enemy to your daimyo, if the head is of a high ranking enemy officer then your honor and rank will be increased.

I think that the hooded person who wields the staff with the dragonfly is Jesus of Nazareth, my guess is because the Drifters usually tend to be villains of our own history, whereas the Ends tend to be heroes and martyrs. I haven't read the Manga, but I did finish the season, so that is where my guess comes from.

Shimadzu is a corps of mad samurai who is famous in Japan. Shimadzu lords have the idea that on any battlefield, if their lord is alive, they will win.

I was just thinking that a Gintama reaction would be nice but it's a unique comedy where the jokes come fast one after the other and don't stop. It's slow at the first few episodes but picks up pace fast. I've been watching subbed anime since the 1980s but even I had to pause multiple times per episode in some places to be able to keep up with the jokes. Some are word play, some are reactions, some are slap stick, or toilet humour as well as innuendo. Its got every type of comedy imaginable fast balled at you one after the other. So keeping up with it is hard. But thats what makes it so damn good. You could always experiment with a Gintama reaction video and see how you do. I recommend the Yoshiwara in Flames story arc. gintama.fandom.com/wiki/Yoshiwara_in_Flames_Arc My personal favourite semi-serious arc. Use it as a barometer for how good Gintama can get. Basic premise for Gintama = Instead of the Dutch culturally invading Japan in the 1700s? and sparking a civil war there, it's aliens from outerspace instead. Which is why you get the weird mix of modern technology and traditional japanese aesthetics. The story focus's on Gintoki, a lazy former samurai who fought in the civil war but now barely runs a handyman business. Two other characters join him in the early episodes but I won't ruin it for you if you choose to watch it.

That "Greek" guy is actually Roman.

Pretty much nailed the synopsis. Bunch of historical figures fighting. This is a fun one, fun characters, great art and music. Basically Fate but an isekai lol ... Fuck it, if you want, check out Fate/Zero lol Historical figures called to present era by mages to fight for a magic cup Jokes aside, its really good. Can't wait to see you guys to the rest of this!

drifters to me the rated m version of heroscape board game. if heard or played of it then welcome to "damn im old club." basically. to zoomers: heroscape in a way is also budget warhammer 40k. back in 2003 or 2004 the game was about 40 bucks (if released today with its contents thats fucking 200 bucks no joke. even buying a complete used set its near 400 dollars do to its out of print now.) and you get alot, you got terrain pieces, PRE PAINTED model miniatures, tokens to tell damage, abiities and such. info cards for the units and heroes you have. the setting is the realm of order and chaos is unbalance. so they call in heroes and creatures from different timelines and realms to fight. you got ww2 solders, samurais, cyberpunk spies, vikings, elves, aliens, dinosaurs you name it. later on when bought by hasbro they added in dungeons and dragons miniatues and later marvel superheroes. by 2011 they discontinue it sadly. now from parts of it they made those piece of shit dual of the planeswalker board games base on magic the gathering.
