When most musicians try to act like it's all about the music, peace of mind, or in any way suggest that money is not a big motivation for something I think they're full of shit but when Felder talks about not being concerned with money, but how he feels, I actually believe him

As much as I loved some of the great music that came from Henley and Frey, as time goes by and you learned more about them, their selfishness, greed, and hypocritical politics, it's clear they're D bags. Don Felder is a damn good musician and like Michael Anthony of Van Halen, were back bones of the bands, treated like disposable wipes, and thrown away. Politics and greed had ruined many great bands.

James Krys I watch the behind the music about Heart and afterwards I still do not know how the Wilson Sisters were able to keep the name since both were not original members, they were all fired or left. This is not normal. Heart by Heart could have a fighting case if they decide to use the name Heart. In the seventies there is the infamous time that there was two legitimate Temptations bands touring(each had two original members)against each other.

I totally get that when there's a divorce, you not only lose half of everything, and all the heart-break, BUT...it seems too many forget the part where it "Destroys You" as a person. Everything you've devoted your heart and soul to...Destroys you psychologically and mentally. Insensitive Stern is clueless because he never devoted anything to any relationship the way Don Felder and most of the rest of us do. He's too Narcissistic!!! It's a trade-off you accept when you sign your contract. The difference is, Don's contract with the Eagles said he was an equal partner, not a work-for-hire employee.

Frey and Henley were really good lyricists and I suppose were the best among the group at identifying those little touches that can make a good song a great song. But if they had never brought Felder into the group, they'd never have had the success they did. The instrumental part of the music is bigger than lyrics, and that is what Felder brought. Most of their hits would have still been hits with different lyrics.

It's old news I guess but I have always been struck by the fact that once Don Felder left, they never created any memorable music again. Just kept on flogging the same old stuff through farewell tour after farewell tour. Henley and Fry wrote some great songs but without Walsh, Felder and Leadon in the early days they would not be as good. I think they were poisoned by greed and American culture. They thought they were just hiring guitar players and had no respect for the talents and creativity of their band mates. Songs are more than words and without the music they'd be just a bunch of silly made up words.

Not a bad interview; nothing really new. Glad to hear he's gotten a book out for those who don't know the whole story. Still, he's holding that thing through the whole interview and never plays a note. Don has always done his best talking with a guitar. I can't imagine having a guy with so much to say musically on a show and try to get him to talk about sex and drugs and interpersonal stuff. Nice try. Don's too decent a guy to tell tales out of school. I'd rather hear him play and sing.

Disgraceful behavior by men at the time who were in their fifties and even worse in the documentary where they are now almost 70.I thought we were all supposed to grow wise with age.It appears to have had the reverse effect on Frey and Henley.

I have a very negative view of Don Henley. He blocks videos from people who are trying to kiss his butt just because they feature a few seconds of his music. Money has always been his primary motivation.
