@@killerjoe5628 yes, good point. The "documentary" they did sure made him look terrible. And after watching this, I realized I never saw Henley and Frey TOGETHER in that documentary. All their interviews were seperate. Maybe they both were/are dicks and Felder was the nice guy. What a cutthroat business. LOL what business ISN'T cutthroat tho?

All you need to understand is every person who left that band had problems with Frye and Henley. Leadon, meisner and Felder. Joe walsh is a shell of his former self. I saw them about 5 yrs ago and was disgusted at the show they put on. It was literally going thru the motions. The only huge applause was for joe.

After watching, "History of the Eagles", I had a bad opinion of Felder. But, I thought that Frey and Henley were also full of themselves. Thanks, Felder for doing this interview and letting me make my own decision. I think this was nothing more than a power struggle, between a Prima Donna(Henley), and a power mad dictator(Frey), and someone that just wanted what was owed to him and wanted to play great music(Felder) !!!! KUDOS TO DON FELDER !!!!! TAKE A RIDE !!!!

Don Felder was my favorite Eagle, because of his awesome guitar work & songwriting skills. The Eagles are not the same without him like Kiss is not the same without Ace and Journey is not the same without Steve & Lynyrd Skynyrd never was the same without RVZ. Its tough & awkward for me as an Eagles fan growing up with the eagles music to see & hear the Eagles without Don Felder in the band.

This is simply my opinion. I stand by it. I don't feel sorry for Randy. He did what he thought was best for him. No different then the rest of us in the world who make life changing decisions every day, and hope it works out. Decisions often have consequences that don't work out. That is life. Sometimes the wheel that squeaks the loudest gets the most grease, and sometimes it is the first one to be replaced. END OF PROBLEM.

I've been an eagles fan since their first album. I can't believe some people don't know the history of their feuding. It wasn't just Felder who couldn't get along with them it was almost all of them. I don't know about Timothy or Joe because they came later and weren't given partnership so they are just employees and they don't have a say in much. But Meisner, Leadon, and Felder all had issues with Frey and Henley from almost the beginning. What people also don't understand is Meisner, Leadon, and Felder were the reason for the Eagles success. I also have the Eagles latest album and except for a couple songs it sounds like a repeat of Henley's End of the Innocence album, which there was only a couple songs on that, that was any good. Henley has been given way too much credit in my opinion. Great singer, but his songs aren't that great. Always trying to make some political statement that only he knows what the hell he's talking about. I always liked Frey but I also think he's an ass. He and Henley at one time wanted to kill each other out of jealousy. My favorites of the Eagles are Meisner, Leadon, Felder and Walsh, and let's face it. Without those guys there never could have been a group called the Eagles. That's all

Bands are such an incredible pain in the ass. How have the Stones have done it? Btw, blaming Yoko was such a cheap shot, the Beatles breakup was inevitable.

Felder was just a bit too smart for them. That settlement wasn't cheap, and I'm sure it left Henley/Frey gnashing their teeth as they wrote out the MASSIVE check. There's a reason this guy isn't too bitter. He got paid. Way to stick it to the two douchebags. LOL!!!

Although I love Felder's guitar work, Henley and Frey are the main forces behind the Eagles. If Felder believed so much in equal partnership, why did he not object to hiring Joe & Timothy as employees?

Henley is a megalomaniac, Frey a wanna be tough guy. Joe Walsh a puppet. Don Felder re made the band with Hotel California. Don is probably the most underrated guitarist in music. Hotel California is the closest thing the USA has to Stairway To Heaven. No disrespect, but Frey couldn't propel the band the way Felder did. Don Felder is The Eagle and from the old photos of Henley, with the afro- he is Big Bird. His song MADE the Eagles!

He didn't write Hotel California. He did the intro. He got fired for being an asshole. He and Joe Walsh worked on it. The band took it to the next level. There are two elements that made the Eagles great, Glen Fry and Don Henley. It was their band, they sang it and demanded perfection. Joe Waslh and Timothy B, Schmit both admit it. No one wanted to work with him.

Henley & Frey fan boy alert! Walsh & Schmitt were employed by Henley & Frey. What else could they say? It was also Meisner & Leadon's band - why did they quit?

Felder is a legend and the band wasn't the same without him, also this interview is soo bad, as soon as don starts talking and getting in a flow they all cut him off and talk over him, typical yanks.

Felder's replacement was the brilliant Steuart Smith. The level of guitar playing went up, not down.

That's true but in general not a lot of rock songs written by the artists that perform do compare, especially with Henley & Walsh.. I think Frey is the weakest link in that chain & the nickname given to him by Randy Meisner doesn't help his case much ( Add a word & gain a third ) From joining song writing sessions already in progress between other members of the band & chiming in, hey guys why don't change the word from this to that... 1 word added for the demand of a song writing credit & a third of the royalties... That's just being a little too greedy while acting like a complete ass.. Walsh, especially the James Gang material & the first couple of years after he left is Iconic... Henley's complete discography, Iconic Frey has a great voice ( even though it sounds nothing like it did on the original Peaceful easy feeling ) But I think his ambition to want to be an actor, must have been too many guest appearances on Miami Vice and it caused his writing to suffer.. Heavy Metal is a good song but you are comparing it to really great Iconic songs.. It will lose that battle every time.. On a side note I think everything Frey felt about Henley, Felder caught the brunt of.. Common knowledge it's Frey's band but the whole world knows Don Henley is the Eagles ... I'm sure that fact burns Glenn Frey's ass & pisses him off to this day.. When it's your band & you are not the face of it then it's his band & you are just a member
