Glenn Frey has been gone for over 5 years. I can’t even express how much the music of the Eagles meant to me. His song ‘The new kid in town’ is a masterpiece. Rest In Peace Mr Frey❤️.

So long, Glen. Last saw them in 94 on Hell Freezes Over Tour. But...saw them in 71 as Linda Ronstadts backing band at the Troubadour! Then in 73, 76, 77 and 78 in LA. Great to have seen them in the heyday, from Randy Meisner and Bernie Leadon to Timothy B., Joe, and Don Felder. The Eagles cannot be the same without Glen. RIP

The relationships in the band might've run hot and cold but the music they turned out never changed. It was some of the best music ever written and performed for decades. Don't let yourself get caught up in petty ego driven things. Just listen and appreciate the music.

So soft spoken. So easy to love. RIP Glenn.

I remember watching Dan Patrick that day and Glenn being on the show was such a plus. I loved that day!!!! I think Dan Patrick is a great interviewer. I miss Glenn!!!!

I saw the Eagles in 1996 @ Wembley ! That was before Din Felder was sacked ! He may not have written many songs but he sure was a mean guitarist particularly on Hotel California !

This is the first time I've seen this interview. What is so disconcerting is that he looks so good and in exactly 9 months he was dead. Absolutely shocked when it happened but what was more shocking was the lack of any tributes to this great musician. I'm still not over the shock.

I know. I think the lack of tributes was due to people and especially music fans already being so shocked and distracted by David Bowie’s passing just over a week before. But absolutely Glenn Frey was an amazing musician. I miss him.

I'm glad to see him looking so well, and being so cheerful here.

A short 9 months after this interview and he was gone...RIP Glenn Frye. 1st concert I ever saw...Boz Scaggs opened...Fleetwood Mac in the middle..The Eagles closed it out

Glenn looks fairly well here. Amazing how fast someone can go down hill health-wise when they are fragile. He was not in great health last few years of his life. This Dan Patrick interview was in April 2015. He died in Jan 2016, less than 9 months later. I saw The Eagles in concert in Little Rock 3 months after this interview, in late July, 2015. The Little Rock concert was their next to last before Glenn died (Last concert was in Bossier City, LA). Glenn died less than 6 months after the Little Rock concert. Saw Tom Petty in same venue and he died 6 months after that. Bad coincidence. Loved them both. Great contributions to music.

miss him-we watch any Eagles special that comes up-one recently without Glenn-but it didn't seem the same without him.. Loved his voice and music style..and remember him as an actor! Great guy.

So sad to hear this news. I just watched a video on you tube a couple nights ago of Glenn and Don talking about Linda Ronstadt. How that led them in forming the Eagles. He clearly was one of the greats. This is a shock to me as this was not expected.

Great looking man. He was stern when it came to the Eagles, but that is why they were so successful for as long as they were he was all business while others whined about who was going to have a hit song. He worked hard and his work persevevered and paid off for so long. He didn't let anyone mess with his dream, and look where it got him in the music industry. Yes, I cane back here again to watch you, Glenn. I miss you every day & you were a part of my life for 40 yrs. You look great during this interview but I can see you're in pain from sitting. We share a bond of having a disease with no cure & you fought it so bravely. I've actually gained more strength in fighting these 15 yrs from your example. I know you're rocking it up & laughing that great laugh I love in heaven.

After buying an album, the only way to figure out which handsome boy sang which song was to go to a concert. And Glenn was the charismatic, chatty, handsome frontman. Rip dear beautiful Glenn Frey.

Manhattan Transfer?

A very underrated guitarist. Check out the live performance of "Midnight Flyer" from 1974, and the beautifully understated lead guitar he composed and played on the studio recording of Timothy B. Schmit's "I Can't Tell You Why." I can't think of another guitar solo that so perfectly complements the lead vocal. Most fans don't realize that Don Felder in concert was just duplicating what Glenn Frey created in the studio.

In '94 I lived in Malibu. One Sunday morning I heard most excellent rock music being jammed (drum/guitar only) from across the canyon. Sounded SO good I wondered WTF? Couple years later I learned it was Don Henley's house. I then realized, wow...that was Joe Walsh jamming with Henley to test waters for Eagles reunion -- which hadn't been announced yet.

Glenn Frey went to Royal Oak Dondero high school in Royal Oak, MIchigan. They named one of the streets there after him. It was a few years before I graduated from Lahser High down the road. I just thought that was kinda cool.

A short 9 months after this interview Glenn was gone. Way too soon. Glad that I got to see the Eagles several years ago when Glenn and Don were touring.

I can't be the only one who feels like a close friend or family member passed away ?

Saw the Eagles when they opened for YES I can still hear Glen say. "Welcome and Good Evening, we're the Eagles from Los Angeles." Everyone was standing around after the show and talking about YES but also the buzz was "Man that lead in band was great!" Little did they know it started a lifetime love affair with the Eagles. I usually saw them once or twice a year. And yes, I wept when he died like I had lost a dear friend. RIP Glen Frey.

Henley & Frey are America's Lennon & McCartney. Period.

Hard to believe this is less than a year ago. He looked great! RIP Glenn.

Don Henley was the heart and soul of that Eagles band. I saw them in Vegas during the last tour in 1994. Just happened to be out there to get married. Tickets were reasonable and They were amazing. I mean I've never seen so much talent in one band. They sound just as good live as on the records. Maybe better. That is unusual. Shout out to Joe Walsh.

I LOVE Glen Frey. G-D bless his soul. Humorously I noticed and counted the number of times he says "YOU KNOW". Part 1 had 65 times (at around 11 minutes) and Part 2 had 52 times (at around 16 minutes). TOTAL: 117 times!! of "YOU KNOW" ( in about 27 minutes) if I did not miss any of them :)))) RIP Glen.

The one and only Glenn Frey!! A true legend and great guy! Missed and loved always.

Glenn Frey had an amazing career!!! Like with David Bowie the fallout of his drug addiction eventually took his life. Two beautiful artists that I have danced to many times. RIP Glenn and may God bless your family and comfort them during this hard time.

He died of complications of ulcerative colitis and pneumonia. But nice try. I live with inflammatory bowel disease and it is devastating to your health and can be quite life threatening. Most people in society have no idea how bad IBD can be. Educate yourself, please.
