Travis Tritt Tells Incredible Story About Helping Reunite the Eagles

Ойын-сауық

Everybody knows that Travis Tritt is a country music icon. He has a long list of hits that were the soundtrack to a good portion of the 90s. If you turned on the radio during that decade, you heard TT's voice. That was just the way of things. Recently he dropped a new album. Set in Stone is like a time capsule from about thirty years ago. However, did you know that he played a big role in getting The Eagles back together for their Hell Freezes Over tour?
Travis Tritt was on the most recent episode of 'The Road You Leave Behind' with Marty Smith. During their chat, he told Marty all about how the Eagles reunion happened.

I don’t think people today can fully comprehend what this music video did to all the Eagles fans back in ‘93. It was unbelievable. I was 20 and when I saw this, it was phenomenal. Then the Hell Freezes Over album came out in ‘94. The Eagles were on top again. Amazing time period for music reunions.

Travis really knocked that song out of the park that was a perfect song for him to sing. I cannot even begin to imagine the energy that was going on that video shoot with all the Eagles in him.

I read an interview where Travis told those guys that the Eagles music was bigger than they were and they didnt have the right to deny their millions of fans hearing the music that was still in them. Death has stopped great music from coming out but egos should never be the reason for stopping the music. Wow! If nothing else Travis definitely has a pair.

I saw the HELL FREEZES OVER TOUR at Giants Stadium in 1994 - fourth row on the aisle - hands down the best sounding live band i ever saw from the musicianship, the lead and harmony vocals - they played over 3 hours - i have seen some of the greatest live bands - but there is them and then there is the Eagles - they were like the Michael Jordan of musical performers - they were that much better then any band i had ever saw and i saw some great ones.

However, years later I started watching some concert footage of him on KZread and he is just amazing! Can't imagine him doing anything other than making music and entertaining people. Born to do it. Same with the Eagles. I was a kid back when they were coming out with their albums and every one would have about 4 or 5 songs played on the radio and the whole albums were great from start to finish!

I love the 60s-80s classic Country, but the early 90s we suddenly had Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, Garth, Clint, Confederate Railroad, Joe Diffie, etc. It was da** good again. Tracy Lawrence with Time Marches on? Forget about it- awesome times. I hope it wasn't the last gasp of the Country genre. There IS Jamie Johnson, Hank III, Sturgill, etc., but it is few and far between all the filler sadly. Country music is people that people in God, Mom & Dad, etc. The is NO PLACE for SJW BS in Country. Hey Nashville" Give the People in Middle America what they want. You are making things too difficult with not good results
