@@peteroliver7975I think you’re 💯 % correct about that! I saw Felder in concert about 2 yrs ago, we just happened to get excellent seats in the second row. The guy right in front of us was talking to a guy in the band and thanking him for his ticket, they were obviously friends. The guy in the band said Felder was an egomaniac! We were sitting close enough to hear the scoop. I’ve always loved his talent but even his current band mates find him difficult.

Don is very, very smart. And very serious. Some people are just naturally smart and gifted. He is very careful with his words; very reflective and doesn't like to be cut-off or overtalked. All that comes through so just imagine how he is at work.

I appreciate the humbleness, honesty and reality. What I don't understand is that the fans have supported the Eagles forever and the members of the Eagles have more money hat they can ever spend but the ticket prices to see them in concert are outrageous. Time to give back to the fans that have made you more than you ever thought you could or would be. Garth Brooks is a great example to follow. Just saying as I am a HUGE Eagles fan,

Don Felder had an interesting take on the conflict between the band members. When they started off, it was 5 guys contributing. Then, Henley's talent took off and he grew resentful the other guys "weren't keeping up" on the song writing. Frey was the closest in terms of song writing ability but eventually the gap between he and Henley grew and with that, the tension between those two guys escalated. Felder thought Henley just wasn't able to grasp the fact he was just that great and it wasn't really fair to expect the other guys to churn out hit after hit, as he could. Plus, Henley's basic personality was such he was challenge to get along with on a good day. Felder once said if Henley looked at his lottery ticket and realized he just won 10 million dollars, the first thing he would say is "Oh great.. wonder how much tax I'm gonna have to pay".

They also had great guitar players with Walsh, Leadon and Felder. A great Bass and voice in Randy Meisner and then Timothy B. Schmitt. They had two great front guys and then the perfect compliment of talents around them.

Felder needs to let go seriously, there is no lowly outlet he won’t give interviews to and no Eagles recent news he won’t address though he isn’t part of the band anymore. He even said publicly he wasn’t invited to play in the Grammys tribute to Frey as if they even considered inviting him at any point. No eagles member wants him back.
