It is so cute when it blooms and it smells amazing!

My catasetum has new growth but it grew on the upper part of the old bulb so the roots are hanging on the sides. Do you have an advice how should I repot it? I enjoy watching your videos and your sense of humor😊

My catasetum still has one leaf andlittle white roots no new growth I have not watered for 2 wks should I leave it alone or water it

I did follow your advice and forced dormancy , I am still waiting on my Clowesa Grace live oak to spike ..why is it so damn stubborn !

Those bits of skeleton leaves, Are they best left on the bulbs, I don't have a catasetum, but a lot of orchids have that on them, And on some you are advised to remove it and on others to leave it, as it can hold water and bacteria that could be harmful, What do you think? Looking forward to seeing this bloom. :-)

Just OT: I grown to love this family of orchids but don't own as many as yet. can you recommend some smaller growing ones that have a nice fragrance? The only one small growing I have is Clowesia rosea.

Ctsm denticulatum is a nice, small species with pendulent flowers. Very similar to Clowesia. All Ctsm are fragrant so you don't need to worry there :)

Is that a small black patch on the pseudobulb with the spike? I panicked first when I saw a black patch on my cycnodes bulb but it is quite firm and not mushy at all so I think it is all right.

Yea they get those occasionally. I don't worry about it unless it is mushy. if its mushy I immediately cut the affected area and apply cinnamon liberally.

Hello Brittany! I have a question and I hope you can answer: I bought a Cycnodes Wine Delight about 1 week ago and It's currently in dormancy. I placed it on my brightest window sill and installed a LED Grow Light above it (usually people use this kind of LED light to grow cannabis but it was cheap :D ). When I recieved the Orchid. it's media was completely dry and I did not water it until now. I planned to do so until a new bulb develops. Am I doing it right? What would you recommend to do? .. It's so hard to do NOTHING even if nothing might be the right thing to do :/
