Here's a good ant story: I was in Australia when I was 16 and was helping my father and his friends get a car out of the mud, so I climbed a hill to guide them. Turns out it was a fire ant hill, or something like that. The dog at my side started yelping as the ants attacked us both, but luckily I was wearing long jeans so they didn't get to me. But when I looked down to see what was going on, my legs were COVERED in ants--it looks like my jeans were moving on their own! Super creepy. No stings for me, 5 stings for the pup.

I got a bit of an ant surprise with my SVO order, too, and I understand what you mean about fire ants. I used to live in San Antonio where fire ants were all over the place. Vile creatures. Still a nice haul and thanks for sharing!

oh please! Help me understand. I just got my first of this type from my local orchid nursery a "black pearl" svo all that jazz. Impulse buy, impossible to refuse. Makes my mouth water imagining the blooms. This is the time of yr normally to have______ as the care (dormancy is over/almost/not started/not going to happen?). Or (perhaps despite the good looking bulbs) it's still a seedling and requires slightly different care. Bottom line concerning dormancy. A.Going into? let it B. no dormancy. too new? don't force 3. Coming out of. proceed with common sense D. it is a good time to repot when_____ even if I don't know_____since it's new to me.

I'm new to your videos and catasetum orchids as well. I'm a sheath cleaner, totally obsessed. Do you ever remove the dried sheaths? All of those bulbs with sheaths makes me itch! 😂 enjoyed the video and thanks for sharing!

Great ctsms, all look lovely and healthy, So did the ants, lol yuk, I hate insects, I'm super allergic to insect bites, one year i got bit on my side by a gnat and from my arm pit to my thigh i swelled up and it then turned black and blue,and had to have anti lol biotics, for a week, another one got me just above my big toe and hubby took me to hospital, they wouldn't listen to me telling them it was a gnat bite because it was so swollen and very hot and i couldn't put my foot to the ground, They xrayed it, because they thought my foot was broken lol, Oh yes i hate insects but they love me, they don't touch my hubby or son its always me, I think they see me and hear a dinner bell lol. loved the bloopers, you should do comedy lol your a nutter lol :-)

My two had ants, a teensy spider, and one big slug. Luckily the slug was on one with no active growth whatsoever (he probably ate it lol)

HAHAHA!!! I have gotten ants from Fred as well. They just hung out in my house until I presume they died. Hahahaha I had to laugh at you. And those ants are not mean ants. They're gentle ants as far as I could tell. (Edit: when you said how bad you feel from ants, my laughter was rescinded) I have like ant trauma because my house was full of sugar ants (which never really bite but once in a blue moon). But they would just crawl on me randomly and I would slap them and sometimes it was just my hair, and it made me feel crazy. The ants wore away at my sanity. I can't imagine how shitty it'd be to have actual mean biting ants!!!

here in Hoosier land. Them there are piss ants. they will drive someone nuts
