What's not to love about your hair? It has purple in it! I don't think people will disapprove because Oncidium genera is your least favorite. I used to love phals and then move on to oncidium-still a newbie. I still love oncidium because I love chocolate! I even buy makeup that smells like chocolate. ♥ But, as I learn about other genera, the less I look at oncidiums. Phal species and Latourias are my latest love and on my wish list. Who knows, someone may discover a new oncidium orchid and we will a fall madly with it. Orchids are always surprising me. ♥

Yay Brittany, I'm glad you're back and I was looking very forward to this video. With your new hair style you instantly reminded me of Nymphadora Tonks from Harry Potter, which is a very cool character. I dislike Oncidiums, too, but your least favourite is a beauty. :)

I love the hair! It reminds me of "opal" hair ; silvery purple with iridescence. If only bleaching hair didn't cause so much damage :(

+Orchids & a Dutchy Bulbos were very close in the race, but my Latourias are just so unique and special to me. Plus, I don't have to worry about them stinking lmao

Some interesting answers and a 1st for me - haven't come across anyone who doesn't like oncidiums but then we all have our individual 'tastes'. I personally don't like catasetums? I'm sure we all have common ground though (cattleyas) - everyone loves a big blousey cattleya!. And if we didn't have any taste at all, there would only be phal hybrids as that's all the producers would give us. The more we seek out the obscure stuff, the more they will remain in cultivation. Still not quite sure what this 'orchid tag' thing is, but it seems a bit of fun.

Just for the record,that "Dancing lady Oncidium" that you've mentioned it is not an actual Oncidium,It is one of those hybrids that contain Gomesa,a genus very different than real Oncidium orchid genus which has problems with the too much heat,I definately recommend to you the Oncidium sotoanum.

"Dancing Lady" is just a common name which includes more than just the oncidium genus, but Gomesa looks nothing like the orchid I used to have.

GIRL Our cycnoches Richard Brandon bloomed the exact same as each other. I hate mine, too. Ian Kitson's gonna get that one in the mail. Mine didn't even develop a good fragrance. I also don't like oncidiums.

+Astrid Mine developed a nice fragrance, but looks way too much like another Cycnoches I have. Green is great if that is the color you want, but I wanted spots sooooo bad!

Where would you recommend I buy some more unique orchids in the South? I live in Alabama close to both the Georgia & Florida borders.. I seem to only find orchids in big box stores here & not in the nearby nurseries. I have been trying to grow orchids now for 3+ years with little luck... I've managed to keep one Phal alive. I am trying maybe a little too hard? Anywho I want something fragrant and easy to grow so suggestions would be awesome!
