Galeandra devoniana like it very warm with partial shade. Usually will flower from old leafless pseudobulbs... and sometimes newer ones as well.

rock pot I love that idea! Try a large sandstone or lava rock so its easy to move.

Orchids by Hausermann has a Clowesia rosea hybrid that is beautiful - only $14.99.

That's a lot of plants. Great haul! Just wondering do you use a book or app or something to keep track of your plants. With info like where and when u got them, when you repotted or when they bloomed etc. do you find it hard to remember what you have when you have so many similar looking orchids (they are not so similar when in bloom I guess) thanks! Have fun potting etc !

OMG, that dragon fruit leaf/segment, it's so huge!! Beautiful! It must be amazing to have a dragon fruit tree. I hope it will grow for you fast! :) I had to google that Catasetum barbatum 'Venezuelano', because it sounded so interesting. I guessed that barbatum in latin means bearded, so I already imagined a flower with a hairy lip and I was right. It's beautiful! I love blooms that looked like that! What a great choice!!! And venezuelano means "from Venezuela". It's wonderful how many catasetum species and hybrids are available at your area. Your are so lucky!! I sometimes fantasize about moving from Finland to South Florida. I laughed out loud when I imagined myself filling a green card application and writing as reason for wanting to move there as "availability of catasetum hybrids". lol.. (I don't even own a catasetum. My growing space is a bit too crowded).

Brittany are you in zone 8? Do you have any tips for growing orchids outside? I'm in southern Virginia near the coast and this summer I'm starting to put some of my cattleyas outside for the summer under a tree.

I will trade you lol. I never had a catasetum but I have pleiones(they look a little wrinkled right now I forgot to water them). Are they similar care?

I had been saving a while for this trip. Took all my willpower not to buy any orchids for that long of a period lol.

Sooo many catasetums. Yes pileatum is really cool and I love the one with the orange spot. Do you own a catasetum tenebrosum?

Male flowers will be more pointed, like little elf shoes! Females otoh will be more rounded, like green army helmets :)

Nice haul, I don't have any catasetnea types what would you recommend for first time grower and on that is not super huge?

Any of the Clowesia hybrids do really well and stay fairly small and compact. plus, Clowesia produces some gorgeous colors and shapes!
