@@dabrack9350 As an English person I actually don't know I think it might have to do with the fact that you get payed benefits if you can prove that you cannot sustain a life in the UK (benefits, as you probably know, are different 'perks' if you will, people get from the government the money for this is from taxpayer pounds The person who applies gets payed until they can get a job and get into an estate building) I think the UK's scheme for people who cannot afford to live in the UK is more appealing? Maybe, not sure

Isn't it strange that the leaders of the Uk, Scotland and Ireland are all Indian or Pakistani but more importantly have not been voted in. This is why the UK gets all the con artists. A genuine refugee stops in the first safe country they reach, they don't break the laws or do anything that will effect their claim. They are happy with a warm bed and 3 square meals a day. They don't bother children or stalk women, they don't moan the free food isn't good enough or that the free hotel isn't what they were promised.

Why should we give the illegals accommodation, food, clothing and DWP benefits which come from our taxes? Surely it is within the remit of the UN and charitable organisations like The Red Cross, Save the Children, Oxfam and other associated charities to care for them? We should not be expected to finance everyone entering UK by the back door. We have plenty of our own deserving people to support, especially during the cost of living crisis we are currently experiencing, without being expected to support illegal incomers. The money available to spend is finite no matter what the government would have us believe to the contrary. As a taxpayer I begrudge the total waste of money spent on Ill thought out solutions to the problem (Rwanda). It would be much better invested in Care, the NHS, Housing and Education and spent on our own indigenous people for a change and improving the lot of those fallen on hard times because of Government mishandling of our economy. Time for a bit of charity begins at home methinks

I regularly used to feed the native Australian birds - parrots, kookaburras, magpies etc but the cost of living soared so high I could no longer afford to feed them. Guess what? The problem is not just those seeking benefits as they await their claim it those who pay off their boat crossing fare by working on the blackmarket or being involved in Criminal Activity . They are recruited in their country of origin . I don’t blame them, they know what awaits them, hotel, money, phone, healthcare and ultimately a job working as a traffic warden, ulez or some other government cash scheme..

A think France was giving them blow up boats and helping them we’re did all those boats come from ?

Imagine the amount of people that see that we house them in highly rated hotels, feed, cloth and provide medical care and whatever else. No wonder the numbers are the highest they've ever been.

I would have deployed the Royal Navy and the Coastguard after the first boat was seen attempting to cross. I would have instructed the Royal Navy to treat these illegal crossings the same way the Somalian pirates are treated when they attempt to hi-jack ships. This is one of the easiest countries to protect. This leads me to believe that the government has no intention of preventing the illegals. £8 million a day for hotels is almost £3 billion a year and £290 million to Rwanda for a current number of zero illegals sent there. This government seems to be extremely generous with OUR money and they give it to everyone but us.

It is significant to see how when the French Police arrive the illegals panic and run away.......they certainly never run away from British Police,they`re more likely to run TOWARDS them and have the red carpet rolled out and given big hugs and a rainbow flag to wave.And the same thing applies to the UK Border FArce

I don't think that's correct. Every time a politician comes up with a direct solution the public pressure is so strong that they have to give up. Also ask the British people at the pro Palestinian demonstrations what's their view on immigration. Most of them are officially as British as you and their vote has the same value

The only thing that will stop the boats is the weather because the Tories can't.

For free living, they are willing to do anything. Stop any assistance, and they will stop.

Maybe if they cut off all them benefits for immigrants, maybe London wouldnt be quite so appealing.😊

It's a fricking joke I work full time and raise a family on my hard earned money and even I can't afford to live in London. They put them in hotels in holiday resorts by the coast they living a life of flipping luxury that I have to save all year round for.

I’m not a lover of legal immigration but after a recent stay in hospital if these people were sent back the NHS would immediately collapse,there would not be enough staff to run it and that’s the truth of the matter but illegals should be shipped out immediately on landing,they’ve traveled all the way through Europe but the golden goose is in the UK.

We want the boats stopped not down unelected PM. This is clearly happening on purpose people.

This is despicable.

They make the choice to make the dangerous journey they have the choice not to and go to the nearest safe country next to their own its because we give them things for free that's why they come here
