“How Dare She Want To Stop Islamic Extremists!” | Marine Le Pen's Party On Course For Majority Votes

France is heading back to the polls for a second round of voting for the National Assembly.
After his party’s defeat by the far right in the recent European Parliament vote, President Emmanuel Macron dissolved the parliament and called for snap elections.
In the first round, the far-right National Rally (RN) party emerged victorious with over 29% of the vote.
Protests have swept the country, urging voters to turn out on Sunday against the National Rally, formerly known as the National Front.
Macron’s Renaissance party won only about 20% of the vote in the first round. A coalition of left-wing parties, called the New Popular Front, scored higher with 28%. The coalition aims to unite voters against the nationalist and anti-immigrant RN party, led by Marine Le Pen.
Alex Phillps and political strategist Peter Barnes discuss the impact of the French elections and matters closer to home with Keir Starmer's new government.

One of the great benefits of Christianity, as it developed in England, is that it allows people to be wrong, to hold what beliefs they choose. In short, Christianity is tolerant, in a way that Islam is not and secularism often is not... So, if you want secularism, it needs to be under a Christian umbrella!

LOL - Tolerance did not arise out of any of the Middle Eastern Mythologies which all hold to tribal One True Faith superstitions of unique revelation - Christianity has historically persecuted more heretics and killed more people than any other religion. The early French in India called the the native Vedic Tradition [which the British labelled 'Hindoo'] 'Tolerationism' as they were amazed by its lack of persecution of other religions [India was for millennia the sanctuary for Jews, Zoroastrians, Christians etc. persecuted elsewhere] and pluralism [Hinduism does not accept any unique revelation and accepts that other spiritual paths can also lead to the Divine Light] - and they hoped this Indian tradition of Tolerance would [as indeed it did] influence the rising Religious Toleration in Post-Reformation Europe.

French scholars have also linked Monotheism to Totalitarianism with Communist regimes imitating religion with Cults of the Great Leader. Orthodox Judaism with its Rabbis as Thought Police [see Israel Shahak's J Religion, J History] was modeled on Sparta. Toleration of diverse beliefs was commonplace in the Ancient world before Constantine's politically convenient adoption of Christianity and the later Totalitarian suppression of rival beliefs by Theodosius etc. under the dogmatic and Literalist Nicene Creed which totally distorts the true meaning of the Gospels. Post-Reformation tolerance was also influenced by rediscovery of Greco-Roman traditions such as Hermeticism and Neoplatonism which rejected dogmatic religious superstitions as in the Middle Eastern myths.
