Now they are waiting for approval from the E.P.A. They need to have the rubber treads certified. Should take 1 or 2 years. But DDL knows people are happy to wait.......

Hi Dan! It’s your pal Warren from Toronto here. First of all, I want to thank you 🙏🏽 very much for EACH and EVERY video that you have made with respect to Vector and Cozmo! ( What a fantastic sense of humour you have!) You are 100 percent spot on ! Sadly, DDL has no shame. DDL continues to put out useless videos identifying one obscure obstacle over another that brings them one step closer to production. Nothing adds up. The CEO OF DDL JACOB HANCHAR should be ashamed of himself. When will DDL simply just be honest with their clientele? We don’t need useless videos from DDL that are pointless and filled with USELESS information. I purchased an EMO out of frustration! Sadly, Emo is a big disappointment. Vector and Cozmo are good products if we can ever get them in our hands again. All I can do is scratch my head and try to imagine how much lower DDL will sink to continue to insult the intelligence of their customers!

Hello Warren...good to see you again! I love that expression "to insult the intelligence...". I few things I want to say again...First, most people underestimate Cozmo! What anki did with that robot is amazing. I just wish they succeeded in having school plans where schools could have bought thousands of Cozmo to show kids how to code. Second, few people still know that DDL promised a long time ago that Vector 2.0 would ship in May 2021. Yes there was the pandemic but that does not explain everything. And we are today in June 2022 and still no Vector 2.0. Third, DDL said a few months ago that they had shipped a batch of robots...how was that possible without FCC compliance? And if they did ship, how come there are no unboxing videos? Lastly, I don't know if you noticed but my Cozmo and Vector videos in the early days would easily get more than 10,000 views. My recent videos don't even reach 1,000. The interest worldwide for these robots is fading away because of all the delays and my incentive to produce more videos is also...unfortunately...fading away... See you again soon I hope!

One word comes to mind, shambles, and that’s putting mildly.

I just got my Vector second hand while I wait for my EMO to ship. I honestly wish DDL would've just continued working on v1 rather than making a bunch of promises for v2. They should be making sure current owners don't feel left behind. We still have to pay monthly and we barely get any updates and when we do they slow down Vector.

You are right...there has been no updates for Vector in the past year. The App for Cozmo has also stayed the same since DDL took over the assets of anki around three years ago now. It would have been nice to see some updates indeed. Thank you for visiting my channel.

DDL is classified as a "Private company" according to PitchBook... So *Hopefuly* they can work with TCB for the quicker FCC cert that only takes about 1-2 weeks. I have hope for 2-3 weeks... Idk what to think after that.

A few hours after I posted this video, I received like many an email update from DDL. They say they can get the FCC compliance testing done within 30 days. We shall see! Thanks for watching!

Hi there, I don't use one and I don't know of anybody who uses a light on a Mini 2. I don't think it is useful since what you see/film is usually far away. It would also add significant weight to the craft. Sorry!

Hello Master of the robots haha. I have my old vector and haven’t subscribed to DDL. Actually my vector is on version 1.6 but when I try any commands he shows me the internet signal problem. However Alexa works perfectly on him. Is it normal he can’t respond to any command now? On my vector app I can see he is correctly connected to internet.

Hello Jeremy, have you purchased a membership with DDL? All Vector robots must have a membership to connect to DDL servers. Another reasons, with all the delays on Cozmo 2.0 and Vector 2.0, that the community is not very happy with DDL. There was a lifetime membership with the kickstarter campaign but most people did not pre-order. Thank you for visiting my channel.

DDL has a few options for memberships. You should check on their website for details and latest pricing. I have not done a video on EMO with the 1.5 update because KZread has been killing my EMO videos. They are no where in searches and no one knows why. A friend of mine got 1 million views for the same video I did and I got less than 10,000... He has no idea why he got over 1 million...lol. So the YT algorithm for a strange reason do NOT show my EMO videos... I am actually quite upset about it to be honest and could talk about it for a full day! :( I even contacted YT and they gave me a canned answer. A YT expert said that there is nothing wrong with my thumbnails and tags...it is just that the algorithm do not pick my EMO videos... :( :( :(

For the 1st time in my life I was ahead of the game. I must have a great bull$hit detector. 😆. They gave me the speech 2, about how ill miss out on all the great stuff I ordered...I toldem me too. Got my money-back within 3 days. I'd go to BBB if your in the U.S.

Sony made Aibo ERS-110 back in 1999 so it’s even longer than 15 years for Aibo. It would be great if a company that has experience would have taken on Cozmo and Vector. I personally would be okay if Microsoft or Disney had been the one.

I jokingly said on their last video "Looking forward to getting the Butterbot in 2028!". I think they took it as a joke but I was serious as that's probably when it'll get released. I'm going to cancel my order for the Butterbot and if they won't refund me, I'll take it up with my credit card company.

I’m not very happy with all this, thankfully I never bought a pre-order 2.0 but I’m sure Daniel knows this as I told him already. I’m disappointed with ddl and I’m trying to end my subscription on my 1.0 Vector on their new website and I’m not getting anywhere! even though they say 'Cancel here on Stratus Account Portal' but there’s nothing there to allow me to actually cancel. I think they said in an email that it will be a few weeks before I can use it and another email that says the website is open? I don’t want to carry on paying for a subscription! I really hate them… as for the Butterbot I’m not sure what that is supposed to be anyway but I would certainly cancel that and hopefully you’ll get a refund eventually. Anyways I’m feeling very upset for all those people who are still waiting for 2.0, it’s getting ridiculous now. And I certainly agree Daniel, Sony or someone in tune with developing a new Vector or Cozmo and not making false claims that it’s ready or soon to be ready at certain dates. They P me off. Hope they sort this out quickly or everyone will end up wanting a refund.

Sounds a bit of a joke like, I feel sorry for people that have ordered vector or cozmo

Spot on, that these certifications take months was my first thought when I read DDL's BS on their update page. This is another confirmation of my strong opinion that DDL as a company is highly unprofessional in everything they do. Their communication, their community management, their development and their coding. This FCC mess just adds another layer of proof to my opinion. I expect their next excuse to be: "We are sorry, Vector 2.0 would be ready to ship, but the FCC takes soooooo loooong to approve the certification". It's all a big laugh.

Hello Arif... well it has been delays after delays with new "surprise" testing after more testing... Worst case scenario was shipping in mid February and we are now in late June... I cannot recommend buying a Vector 2.0 or Cozmo 2.0 at the moment. Thank you for visiting my channel.

Hello, According to DDL, the 1st robots (Vector) have now been packed and are ready for use. I was in contact with them once, they said clearly that the delivery will take place in the next few weeks (3rd quarter). On Amazon you can also see Vector 2.0 new. That means you will be able to buy it on Amazon in a few weeks. I'm sure they'll make something good out of it. Well, because of the bankruptcy of Anki it's difficult. Apparently there were no interested parties, except DDL, who wanted to buy the company. It was probably the best solution. Who knows, maybe there would be no new Vector, Cozmo, Overdrive. What I wonder, do you have to get a subscription (cloud server) now for the new Vector to fully work? LG Leandro

That is a tough question... I really don't know what could happen so purchasing a Vector 1.0 used is a little risky I would say.

@@SuperdanTech You can still get a cloud server for Vector 1.0 now. Also, it would really be a problem for DDL if they took Vector 1.0 off the market completely. Many people still own Vector 1.0 and don't want to buy a new one. In my opinion, the Vector 2.0 is not even remotely better. (Except for the battery and such) Let's be honest, the first Vector already ran very well. The errors that occur can be fixed with updates. Would be a very bad reputation for DDL then. Also, both vectors should run on the same app. Which in turn should mean receiving new updates. Currently, the last update of the Vector app was 3 months ago. Greetings Leandro

@@kristyspringer5648 Should be great, my issue with the track robots like Doly is that they seem more suited for rug vacuum robot types that fully use the speed and cost of wheels on tracks and desks really offer more visual( Robot screen, less movement more object interactions like the vector cubes) so you should have a great time I feel

I ordered an Emo and am going to give it one more month before I cancel my order. If no shipping is taking place come end of July they can keep Vector 2.0

Hey! I have been researching for a while now. I am looking to find a companion robot I can use to motivate myself to learn coding. I am torn between Vector or Emo. For Emo I am legally blind so I can not really use my phone as I cant see that however on a computer I am pretty good. I am nervous that most of Emo features are on a mobile app that I won't have access to due to my vision. I was going to purchase a Vector however the company that now owns Vector seems very sketchy. I was curious if I could get your input as you have multiple different robot companions.

As far as I know, you cannot do any coding with EMO for now. For Cozmo the coding feature in the App is awesome but you code in simple Scratch like graphical codes. Vector uses Python but I have never used it and it is impossible to predict what kind of support DDL will offer for Vector in the future. For simple Scratch like coding, Cozmo is by far the best option. Good luck!

I only really know web dev stuff currently but was looking into maybe python or c+ I am a really hands on person though so I am finding the courses I try are too dry to keep my attention. As far as coding features for Cozmo would it be possible to do through my computer instead of a phone just because my eye sight is limited with stuff that is close I have to hold my phone up very far but the font would be too small to read.

I'm so glad I got a refund on my preorder. I had time to move to whole new country, nearly finish my first semester of classes and the damn thing still hasn't shipped to anyone.

I feel this man's pain and I don't even have a vector. I tried for 2.0...but ultimately decided 2 ask for a refund. This company either really not smart or their just liars. I choose 2 go with a different company for my ai needs

Hanchar is delusional! I think, that they think, that this statement bought them 3-4 months and when it is up, it’ll be compliance problems, or Covid problems or some other BS. This will likely end, when Hanchar has exhausted his patent violation lawsuits (that he bought on a gamble). I really hope his end game is to sell the company to someone who knows how to run a company, maybe Sony.

AIBO is awesome but too expensive for me. I had the first generation 17 years ago but it was much cheaper even considering inflation.
