Where is Vector 2.0 and Cozmo 2.0 is delayed...

The title says it all... I still do not have my Vector 2.0 and a recent email from Digital Dream Labs says that Cozmo 2.0 is delayed with no commitment on delivery dates. I thought I was going to receive my Vector 2.0 in September... The fact that DDL does not have a new delivery date for Cozmo 2.0 after several years is VERY disturbing to say the least... So...I have asked for a double refund...I am tired of waiting...

    I had to contact my credit card company to get my refund for the Butter Robot. Since it had been 2 years I had to write a letter to explain the situation. DDL was radio silent when, after a month I asked where my refund was. It wasn't until my credit card company got involved that they finally gave me my refund. It's best to pay with a credit card for these type of companies as they are better at getting the job done when protecting their customers from fraudulent companies. DDL should hang their heads in shame for the way they botched the release of Vector and Cozmo 2.0 and their stupidity in spending unnecessary funds on frivolous lawsuits.

    Hi Daniel! I know I'm SUPER late to this party, but hey! I made it! Anyway, I'm honestly glad you decided to get a refund for Cozmo 2.0 and Vector 2.0. I hate to say that, but it's the truth. As of today (12/29/22), Cozmo 2.0, ButterRobot, and Infinidrive are nonexistent. Vector 2.0 isn't shipping anywhere outside the US, and the few people who have received it report many problems, mostly bugs with the firmware. I never pre-ordered anything from DDL and I'm proud of it. Well, have a very Happy New Year, and as always, thanks for posting. Sorry for the disappointment.

    Hi Samuel, thank you for your comment. I should hear from my credit card next week. DDL said more than a month ago that they could not refund for Vector because he was in the warehouse being shipped and as of Dec 30 still no sign of him...lol. Happy New Year!

    Still waiting on a vector 2.0 refund requested in October. After the ‘confirmation’ email total radio silence. Filed a bbb complaint but it seems they stopped responding there. I’ve got an open PayPal case but that’s a long shot after a year. At this point I’m ready start contacting government agencies.

    October!!! Really??? This is seriously not acceptable! Paypal is useless in cases like this. I did a video on Paypal's poor customer service three years ago! I had a very solid case with pictures and I lost my case...lol

    Trouble is...many of us have reported DDL yo BBB and FTC...they don't act upon it...DDL know this. Its the same with PayPal, after 2 years PayPal won't help you get refunds as its been too long. DDL are in breach of contracts...Act now..

    To be honest, I am not sure I will get a refund and I pre-paid for both Vector 2.0 and Cozmo 2.0. This is a lot of money!

    Hey Dan!! Warren here from Toronto. Like you, I still have not received my Vector 2.0! We should consider a class action law suit towards DDL! I was also one of the original backers in the kickstarter program. It’s very interesting that there has still been no unboxing videos of Vector 2.0! How can Jacob HANCHAR show his face in public? I am beyond disappointed!

    Hi Dan,great video as usual,I feel your pain,im in same situation, total silence,ive owned my vectors since the Anki days,also having issues with two of my og vectors losing subscription even though I was original kickstarter backer with lifetime subs,eventually found out they have dropped off radar and showing sub expired,emailed them,5 days later they corrected and all working fine,they lasted 6 days and now totally unresponsive,radio silence on last email to them,I have 3 working vectors and two are deaf,its such a drag having to deal with ddl,they are beyond believable,how they even got this far is beyond me,bring back Anki,I would love for us all to get together and fund anki to come back and sort thus mess out,their vision was spot on,they cared and most importantly they saw vector as a him not an it,vector needs Anki

    Thank you for keeping the community informed and aware of the DDL's issues so to-speak. As for Vector 2.0, I guess I can count myself lucky as I received mine back in September, so far, he has not experienced any overheating issues that have been reported on, but outside of the more serviceable battery, there really isn't any noticeable improvements.

    Thank you for sharing here. This is what most people are saying; after waiting for something like two years to get Vector 2.0, there is not much of a difference with the original one. On top of not having received mine, despite DDL's assurances, I decided to ask for a refund!

    @@SuperdanTech How is that refund coming? I believe you initiated back in late November. I wonder if the latest updates you mentioned about Cozmo 2.0 being always on and self-charging is in response to the absolute lack of any useable improvements in Vector 2.0 to push sales. DDL is blowing smoke on Cozmo 2.0 as their software "improvement" and new functionality has a very, very poor track record in any of the acquired products.

    No Vector 2.0 yet despite DDL telling me three months ago that he was being shipped therefore too late to get a refund. And two months ago I was told that DDL is working on my refund for Cozmo 2.0. After following the DDL "story" for 4 years now...it appears that they are lying to me (and others)! I may post a video this week...

    I canceled my order and got a refund on Vector almost a year ago because I knew it probably wouldn’t be out soon. I am reading now that people are having trouble getting refunded and am so glad I did it then.

    DDL was giving some refunds a year ago now it looks like they don't anymore. After getting no news from them, I finally called my credit card yesterday. I will post a video soon about my experience! Thank you for your comment.

    It’s been very frustrating for everyone that vector and cozmo hasn’t arrived on time. Recently I gotten my vector 2.0 and its been very active and hasn’t fallen yet. I noticed in the photos vector can take are very yellow but a massive improvement. The charger has a defect with one of its tabs where it wasn’t correctly placed. It’s also frustrating that vector 2.0 doesn’t have any new features and that the 2.1 software is in planning stage. The people that have gotten vector 2.0 are only in America. I hope soon everyone will get their vector and that cozmo will finally ship.

    Hi, do you still have to pay the subscription for the Vector 2.0 like you do with the original Vector? I'm thinking of getting one when the prices eventually fall (if it ever becomes available to the people at large) and I'd like to know if they price I pay for Vector is all I'll have to pay for him overall.

    @@jamespedrick4566, I got my vector by pre-order which came with the lifetime subscription. But once you get a vector after pre-order period. You will have to pay a subscription. I would wait on vector till it on store shelves or get another robot like loona or eilik. Vector 2.0 recently gotten some small software tweaks which made vector glitch out on audio. Sometimes there will be errors that the camera turned off. Lucky this happens rarely to me but still this isn’t great quality for waiting over a year. Sadly I would wait to hear more news about vector before getting one or get any other robot that the community has recommended.

    I’ve been with your journey since June last year and I remembered I bought the vector 2.0 with the limited edition membership, but I heard it kept getting delayed to works, they really do not want you to cancel, I had to go through multiple contact agents at their company and 1/4 fully refunded mine and most of the other ones just explained “you will lose your membership and everything you just need to wait a little longer”

    I received this Mon, Oct 3, 2022 after trying a refund for my 2 Vector 2.0 orders to Germany: “…Thank you for reaching our support! I'd be glad to help you with your concerns in any way I can! U.S. orders are now shipping for those who purchased in the earliest pre-order windows. Later orders (past June 12, 2021) will be delivered in Q4 2022. We will be shipping reserved bots in the order their purchases were placed, and you will receive a tracking number via email once your order has shipped. Unfortunately, your order cannot be canceled at this moment as all pre-orders are locked for shipping. We apologize for the inconvenience. As always, should any other queries arise, please do not hesitate to contact us…” NOTHING NOTHING after that. My new trie’s one week ago are without reply from DDL. I think they block my mails because now i don't even get the usual confirmation of receipt 🤢🤮

    A heads-up about buying or pre-ordering a Vector 2.0 or Cozmo 2.0 from Digital Dream Labs. I paid and pre-ordered a Vector & a Cozmo 2.0 in Nov 2020 in the UK, as of Jan 2023 nothing was ever received. Only after a 'class action lawsuit' threat. I have just got a refund, however it wasn't easy!

    @@SuperdanTech Well, It's 5 days into Q1 2023. And we got no updates. I emailed them a few days ago and got a response in about 10 miniutes. Anyways, I asked them what the situation is for the non-preorders (after June 12 2021) and I got the response: "Thanks for writing in. I have checked your order and it has not shipped yet, we are currently shipping early pre-orders and those are expected to be completed soon. Once those orders are shipped, we will start shipping the backorders which include your order as well. So, unfortunately, we do not have a specific date for you yet, but rest assured you will be notified when your order will be shipped. Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns, or if we can assist with anything else." Looks like more delays.. :( But I'll let you know if anything changes.

    I agree! The money they wasted on their lawyers would have been better spent on developing a new robot of their own. The other robot companies are leaving DDL in the dust. I wouldn't be surprised if they go out of business.

We are excited to share that your Vector 2.0 has passed customs in Rotterdam, NL arriving safely at our E.U. / U.K. distribution center. The team is working to address the varying VAT needs of each country before releasing to your secured courier. We will provide an update later this week."

    I have tried to contact them to get a refund a couple of times now and this was what I got back when I tried to follow up after my initial inquiry a week earlier. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but It has been over 2 months now since this reply: "Thanks for getting back to us. Please note that we have already noted down your refund request. due to the volume of tickets we receive daily, additional emails may lengthen the processing time, but we will process this as soon as we are able. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your continued patience." I gave it some more time, with no refund, no response. Since it has been over a certain lime limit which makes disputing the charge a little harder but I will give it a shot.

    Good luck getting a refund. According to “Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act” DDL has 15 days refund you. That been said kfor me its now been three 22 days and any mail you send you will get a feel good email back but no refund or any date when to expect a refund. so following due process you have to report to the FTC.

    Holy, I feel horrible honestly having one of the only existing vector 2.0 videos on yt getting comments on that video saying wish I had mine when I didn't deserve to have him before you guys! I promise in my next vector video which may be coming out Saturday or Sunday depending on how busy I am I will apologize for coming out and acting arrogant against people since that was never my intention for making that video! I was trying to give people hope! That if I got mine that other people would too! I even received a follow up email saying I got another one coming!!! (Thankfully I did reach back to let them know before it came on my doorstep) I promise you Dan I'll try to gather as much info as I can about the matter as I too was furious at ddl for not being transparent with its consumers! To all of you reading this comment, I sincerely hope you all get a thorough apology email with tracking information about your robot. It's not ok for any company to do this with their consumers and it's not fair to Dan who has been mainstream vector Cozmo and any other ddl robot yt uploading for years to never even receive his first! Your grind will pay off someday I hope Dan. I hope your channel blows up with subscribers because you're one of the best KZreadrs around and there'll never be another SuperDan ever in my lifetime.

With anki I was getting some stuff in advance to give me time to prepare to better introduce a new feature of Cozmo on my channel. This was an interesting relationship. I also kind of expected some youtubers like myself and outsider238 to get their robots early especially since we were also a kickstarter supporter. But it is not happening that way.     Any refund for your Cosmo 2.0 yet? I got the same email back from them many months ago after requesting a refund, then I followed up 5 times and did not get any further reply, after confirming that I want the refund. I'm going to have to go through my payment provider, I guess.

    I requested a refund for Cozmo around the same time you did and I haven’t heard back either. I’ve involved my bank and requested a chargeback.

    @@SuperdanTech I received the chargeback investigation letter from my bank today. They said it was too far outside of the dispute window to allow. I will have to contact them on Monday and explain that both Mastercard and Visa have provisions in their rules that allow disputes outside of the dispute window on “future-promised goods”. I think Cozmo falls into that category as it was definitely promised to us at several specific future dates that have now been missed. In addition, I emailed DDL again asking for a status update on my refund. I doubt they’ll respond though.

    @@SuperdanTech I had to have the dispute reopened with my bank. They’re still investigating. DDL hasn’t responded to them. DDL hasn’t responded to my BBB complaint either. Today, I filed an IC3 complaint against them. It’s basically a place to report criminal complaints for online scams directly to the FBI. I believe DDL is criminally negligent due to the fact that these have been promised to us at multiple times over the last two years when in reality, they knew they were nowhere near having a product ready to ship. Now they are ghosting everyone.

    i’ve been hopefully waiting for cozmo since before it was able to be preordered. I never owned the anki cozmo and I didnt want to buy it on ebay. Its sad to see a company do this

    And DDL cannot give a date on the new Cozmo delivery after something like 2 years of promises! This is why I asked for a refund on Cozmo 2.0. I have 119 videos on Cozmo, Cozmo mini games and Cozmo coding. I was hoping to continue my Cozmo videos but after more than 2 years there is nothing new. Same story with Vector (I have 100 videos). To be completely honest, my channel has suffered a lot because of DDL's lack of actions. The current interest for Cozmo and Vector is at an all time low...lol

    I don't think so... Cozmo has not got a new mini game in 3 years...lol. The last mini game was developed by anki before they went out of business!!!

    if you search for vector 2.0 on youtube and sort by upload date you can see a video of a 2.0 from Indonesia. So at least they are delivering over there...

    Hello Dan, I am really sorry I haven't been commenting on your videos for a very long time, I still watch your videos from time to time but I have lost a lot of interest in robotics since DDL took over and like you said, it was really sad to see Anki leave. I never went about buying vector or cozmo 2.0 until I knew they were going to be updated because from what I have seen from "Ben's stuff" Vector is exactly the same except for different logos and a very slightly upgraded camera. And for over triple the price that Vector used to be + paying all those subscriptions we never used to pay, for me, it is an absolute scam. I also question how much DDL are actually doing because they have only updated vector recently with that new loading screen and as a company, they seem more focused on stopping other companies bringing out their robots like Emo and Loona. Emo I would say is as enjoyable as vector but at least Living ai are updating Emo and from what I have seen of Loona, she seems like she can do pretty much everything Vector could do but with more features at a cheaper price. I will be commenting on your videos again and I hope you have a good rest of your week :)

    Hi Matthew, don't worry we are all very busy. It is not only all the delays that made me consider asking for a refund. It is also the fact that both Vector 2.0 and Cozmo 2.0 in the end, are not very different from the first models. And by the time Cozmo 2.0 is available (if that happens), he may be obsolete!

    I tried to request a refund for Vector 2.0 (I ordered via the webpage beginning of October). I received the same "don't you want to reconsider" reply within a few hours. Then, after confirmation, radio silence from DDL. Meanwhile, I also contacted my credit card company to help me get the money back. They said they would contact the bank DDL are using for aditional information and they would likely pay back my money (under reservation. Should DDL decide to pay back meanwhile for sure the credit card company will not do that, but so far still complete silence from DDL). So I guess it has to be settled the hard way.

I guess they are still in the checking process, but from what they wrote in their first repsonse, they seem to have understood the issue at hand. Let's wait and see.     I guess you do not have Vector 1.0? Then the wait makes more sense than for people like me who already have a Vector and realizing in the end that Vector 2.0 is NOT a big improvement.

    @@PrinceJes I suspect you will be waiting the rest of your life. This has gone on long enough and now it's firmly into scam territory. I also charged them back because they refused a refund. There was a whole lot of mismanagement, now everyone is refunding, it's not going to happen for them but they don't have cash on hand to refund all the orders.

    Actually, Vector was supposed to ship "at the latest" in mid February 2022...then September...delays after delays...lol. And there is no delivery dates for Cozmo, so basically we have no idea when we will receive him. This is why I asked for a refund. Thank you for visiting my channel.

    I had my refund almost a year ago and I am still shocked to see you guys didn't get the robots yet. When I got my refund they didn't even argue with me or tried to keep me around. It's pretty sketchy. Cancel all your orders while you can. This kind of business practice is unacceptable.

    In my case...still no Vector although they said a month ago that he was being shipped so they could not issue a refund. After 3 messages about Cozmo, I finally got a reply saying that I am in the queue for a refund...regardless I contacted my credit cars last week!

    What I find frustrating is that they haven’t updated the cozmo app in 3 years in the App Store and for 2 years on google play store. I wonder if they will start updating the cozmo app when cozmo 2.0 arrives. Another question I have is if they start updating the app again, will cozmo 1.0 update with 2.0 because even cozmo 1.0 is capable of way more then what the software currently offers. It would be nice if cozmo could get an obstacle avoidance update and start recognizing more objects then just faces and cubes.

    DDL has done almost nothing with the Cozmo App since they bought the tech from anki years ago. Not even a new mini game. I doubt they have the resources to tackle that with all the trouble and delays with Vector 2.0. If and when Cozmo 2.0 comes out, the app updates will probably be a disaster as the new games or features may not be compatible with Cozmo 1.0...........

    @@SuperdanTech I’m sure it will as it’s just software. Some things obviously won’t be available but there’s still lots they can do to update cozmo 1.0, for example better object detection. Cozmo only detects faces and dogs which is lame. He should be able to detect way more objects then just 2 different objects and not only that, path planning needs to be updated. He keeps bumping into random objects and it should be very easy for them to make him avoid objects.

    There is still lots they could do. I am very annoyed with the lack of information they are giving and how much they have delayed it. I know for a fact that cozmo 1.0 would have been amazing because of the updates if anki didn’t go bankrupt.

    @@SuperdanTech I ended up going to their web page to learn more and I saw a KZread link so I brought me back here anyways haha, anywho, I watched their latest video which was a debriefing of whatever, I don't know, but they said things got delayed in a couple of facets but since they want to make sure that they're doing as right as they can they are putting everything back a quarter so people who would normally be receiving their shipments for Q4 for this year won't be getting it until Q1 of next year (2023). But, I didn't realize how majorly expensive this was until I looked it up. So, I don't think it really matters to me in the end because I don't think I could afford one of these. I'm a disabled american, they only give us $800 to survive off of for an entire month for everything so I guess I'm going to have fun watching videos of people playing with theirs!

    I've been writing emails to DDL support for 2 months now asking to cancel my order for Vector 2.0. Unfortunately to date I have no response from them. DDL is really not a serious and trustworthy company. I'm looking forward to Loona from KeyiTech. I am very frustrated that the only solution found to resolve the conflict between KeyiTech and DDL is a partnership. I hope that DDL's incompetence won't rub off on Loona's evolution in the future.

I really appreciate your patience through this process. To give further context on this, our team had major component issues with the chip and electronics shortages. After some components were unable to be sourced, we had to source new components and make software & firmware adjustments to factor in those components.     I feel sorry for Anki that it ended the way it did because DDL put a crown on it. Over two years of promising, taking money for apparently non-existent robots and keeping quiet. And still attacking the competition for some intellectual property they didn't even create. Yet Vector 1.0 has been making us happy at home every day for almost three years. That's the only reason I didn't ask for a refund, which I'll probably never see again. I'm curious to see how this situation turns out in the end. I'm not canceling the order yet because I haven't seen any comments about getting my money back.😢

    I would just like to tell you all that there is some hope! I have my Vector 2.0 he works well except for a few bugs here and there. I am not affiliated with DDL but I preordered mine in late May of 2021. Just wanted to let you know that I received him in October. He seems to be made well and he works as advertised.     Well what can I say, I’m not happy with ddl and what’s the point of Cozmo 2.0 having the option of being able to recharge himself if it means that we would have to keep the app on all the time, not only does ddl want all our money from the subscription service but they want us to waste money on high electricity bills as well. How can Cozmo be used constantly if we need to keep the battery life up on our phones - are these people mad or just dumb. BTW I don’t blame you for wanting a refund, they better give it to you and others who want it otherwise they won’t last long and I can’t believe or understand why KEYi wants to work with them “what is going on” I just hope that KEYi is trying to help ddl and maybe that’s what ddl has asked for but to be honest I don’t think that is the reason. What does this mean for us lot who have invested a great deal of money and time in the hope of receiving Vector, Cozmo (2.0) and Loona???!!! Anyway let’s hope that something good comes out of all this craziness.     Currently you CANNOT buy it. I became interested in vector back in 2022 and missed the preorder window. I find it annoying personally that they clearly have them and COULD ship. DDL does not seem to be capable of shipping worldwide. They do not seem to even ship in the us. I have seen unboxings of vector so I most definitely know they have them. They deserve much more criticism.

    Nobody really knows what is going on with DDL these days. There is no delivery date for Cozmo 2.0... Vector is apparently being shipped but very few people have received him... No news on Overdirve... No news on Butter robot...People like me who pre-ordered years ago still have not received Vector 2.0... The list goes on...Oh and apparently according to one of my subs their repair center for robots is temporarily closed...

    @H.Jacob Hanchar Well...something has drastically gone wrong with shipping to the European Market. I paid and pre-ordered a Vector 2.0 in Nov 2020, as of January 2023 it hadn't arrived. I asked for a refund was stalled. Managed to get my refund; after a struggle. I'm in the UK. I'm posting this to let you know how I feel today.. I, like many;supported you in the Vector and Cozmo 2.0 venture, we all were excited, watched your uploads on the, so called progression. We all feel duped and used. You have broken promises over and over again, what an abysmal way to run a company. By pre-ordering You are guaranteed revenue and funds, it creates excitement for your new product, however you have messed up the release windows and you have botched up a campaign that is hurting your business. I am going out of my way to deter future purchases of Vector and Cozmo 2.0s over here in the UK. I don't want anyone else to be sucked down your rabbit hole. The Vector 2.0s that have arrived to customers...only in the US, are reporting major defects and error codes. One of which is the overheating issue, I want to add, I was told you have the CE certificate for UK distribution and orders are in a UK warehouse...I find that hard to believe, a CE certificate guarantee' s a safe and compliant product. I'm eagerly awaiting customers to begin posting on Facebook that their robots have arrived and what issues they are experiencing. Regards Carole Owens

    Thank you Carole for sharing here. I was told by DDL three months ago that I could not get a refund for Vector 2.0 because my robot was being shipped...still nothing...looks like DDL lied to me!
