This was a phenomenal reaction to a phenomenal song Courtney style. Courtney is working on her first album which has been delayed due to the pandemic. One person said it might be out early this year. Bring it on! Courtney has been busy songwriting, learning guitar and a little piano during the UK’s lockdowns. She was able to come to the US 2-3 weeks ago to work with a record producer. Exciting times to come. So excited to see you become a Courtney convert! I’ll have to think of a song for you to react to. Thanks again. Happy New Year! And the amazing thing is that Courtney was 14 when she recorded the Cover Sessions which includes “Sucker” and “Sign of the Times” and two others equally as great. (“Someone You Loved” and “Old Town Road”.). You will see Courtney’s versatility. She can sing anything. She is not just a singer, she’s a performer and an artist.

Russell great reaction to Courtney Hadwins cover of Sucker. An appropriate song title because she just seems to suck us all in with that raspy soulful voice. What a talent she is. "Jesusss". Any song, anywhere, anytime she will make it her own. Can't wait for her new album. All I can say is MORE COURTNEY HADWIN PLEASE !!

Hi Russell. This was a really great reaction and I think you hit it spot on in one line. When Courtney sings, she just reaches out and grabs you. No one can touch your heart and soul when they sing like Courtney. She sings with so much emotion and passion that it is impossible not to be drawn into her music and she does it every time she performs. You will never see Courtney take a song off, whether it's a home practice or in front of thousands. She brings a style to music that is pure old school, even when it's a new song, and it's a style that we haven't seen in music in decades. She has so much funk and soul in her voice and, as you say, it is absolutely unique. You can walk into a room and hear five seconds of a Courtney song and there is no doubt who you're listening to. Add to that, the incredible vocal versatility that she has, where she jumps from genre to genre, often in the same song, with seamless transitions, and without any loss to the incredible quality of her music. Keep in mind that Courtney was only 14 when this song was recorded and you'll understand why so many of us view Courtney as truly the voice of a lifetime. Courtney's debut album of original music was scheduled to be released just around the time covid hit and that caused the release to be delayed multiple times. For most of the last two years, there has been a total travel ban from the UK to the US and nearly every one Courtney is working with is in the US. That ban was lifted this past November 8th and within a few weeks, Courtney was already back in the US working to finish the album. So we should see an album drop sometime in the first half of 2022. As you can understand, it is one of the most highly anticipated pending releases and it will be absolutely epic. I've put several links below as to recommendations for future reactions. The first three are performances from AGT, because you have yet to see what she can do on a full stage and to see how she always has the audience in the palm of her hands. She is a pure stage beast. Sucker was part of a four song set that Courtney released as an EP. The next three are from that EP. The songs chosen were all massive recent hits, where Courtney takes each one and totally re-invents them. They are across multiple genres, as the purpose of these releases was to highlight Courtney's vocal versatility and they are all different, but all exquisite: Courtney Hadwin - AGT SF - Papa's Got a Brand New Bag: kzread.info/dash/bejne/lWuot5OcaNnWhps.html Courtney Hadwin - AGT Finals: River Deep, Mountain High: kzread.info/dash/bejne/mot11NCbqq3boLg.html Courtney Hadwin - AGT Champions: Pretty Little Thing: kzread.info/dash/bejne/kWunrM5thLjXgco.html Courtney Hadwin - Sign of the Times: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qm2EystvidXNYs4.html Courtney Hadwin - Someone You Loved: kzread.info/dash/bejne/l4Ztt9qco827g7A.html Courtney Hadwin - Old Town Road: kzread.info/dash/bejne/k6Kr1sltc5O2hMY.html

@@darrenbent7601 Courtney has sung Titanium on several occasions including at a place called ‘Cameron’s’ just after her 11th birthday, then shortly thereafter on the Teen Star competition and others. Clearly as she grew, so did her talent and vocal control, but Courtney has always been light years ahead of any of her peer artists at any age and I think her renditions of ‘Titanium’ have always been fabulous. Some of my favorite Courtney performances.

@@edwarddevogelear4432 I know. That 'Cameron's' one is very hard to come across. It is one of my favourites of her early works too. I do prefer the one of her on stage, compared to the one in the hall, because, too me, the acoustics seem to be a bit more clearer on that one. But I'm not going to spoil it for those people, reviewers in particular, who haven't seen it to make their own opinions.

So much you said is spot on. And so much more to say on top of that about Courtney. She's a beast when she performs. Keeping in mind this was actually recorded in a studio where the amps and equipment are stored, she had very little room to move with wires etc all around her in a tight area. If Courtney was on a stage it would have been crazy how she would have been controlling the audience. But she still makes it like a live performance with just the 2 musicians behind her in a confined area. Speaking about those musicians, if you try to just pay attention to those 2, which is pretty tough to do with Courtney around (I've watched this video close to a 1000 times and still have a hard time taking my attention off of Courtney to watch those guys having a blast), then you will see how happy they are to be doing this song with Courtney, especially at the half way point and on. They both said on their social media accounts how good she is. Watch them smile at her and each other. Both are great studio musician who play around the world. Here's my analogy of how Courtney moves when she performs. Every muscle in her body moves like the drum beat of a drummer and/or the muted strums of the rhythm guitarist while he's playing. She makes music with her own movements not just her vocals. And she also accents the rhythm with her vocals and her body all at the same time. And we all feel it and see it and want to get up and do the same right along with her. It excites you to see someone perform like that. I can't speak for the young, but it makes us older folk want to get up and dance. Her breathy vocals, rock you the way she uses that technique. Reminds me of all the great performers who had attitude up on stage (think Mick Jagger). Her facial expressions always speak to how she's feeling the song. Whether she sings a ballad or these upbeat songs she lets you know she's performing with her heart and soul. This is why she's going to be huge when she finally gets released. People resonate with passion like this. She's already a star and hasn't been on tour yet. Millions are waiting patiently for that time to come. There's so many video to see, but I will request another rocker by her on her YT channel. "Old Town Road" kzread.info/dash/bejne/k6Kr1sltc5O2hMY.html Same studio and musicians and another passionate rock performance with attitude and movement. Yes, to your question, btw. She's been trying to record and release her album for a few years now, but delayed by COVID. She couldn't get to studios due to lock downs in the UK and travel restrictions to the USA. Like Sherry said Courtney got to the USA a few weeks back to record again, but with the recent concerns of the OMICRON variant now, who knows what this means for her. Courtney has had a few huge setback from her coming out party since AGT. In 2019 she was supposed to perform at Woodstock's 50 anniversary festival in NY state that got canceled due to Woodstock executives financial management and ultimate canceled festival. That performance would most likely have made Courtney a household name if organized properly. Then COVID happened, during which another big festival in Austria got canceled that she was invited to. Changes in ownership of her contract last July between Sony Music and Syco Entertainment has also effected her somehow (we may never know how). She hasn't been able to get back on a live stage since 2019. And she admittedly is yearning to perform again, anywhere, she said. Yet she has not shown any outward emotions to her fans.

I first saw her on AGT. She is like AJ, in that she is a different person before she starts singing and then this other person?? or BEAST is unleashed. That is probably the best words, so far, I can think of when she sings. A BEAST. Janis Joplin-esque. MAVERICK. Her screechey growls...yeh. BEAST. DOWN GIRL! HELP!! THE STAGE CAN'T CONTAIN HER...SEEK COVER. LOL.😲

I can't wait for you to watch 12yr old Courtney singing "Nutbush" Tina Turner This was her Uk Vouce Kids audition with Will- I- am as one of the judges. You must listen to their comments to the end. Like AGT she gives a phenomenally energetic performance for her UK 'coming out' so to speak. You will have a stroke - but in a good way, lol - there are 4 performances from memory with the final being just minbendingly huge! So I don't know what you should do 🤔 You could go back and forth between Voice UK & AGT until you see both her UK Final that set her up for her American trip to her AGT Champions return in which she sang her Original "Pretty Little Thing" that brought the house down. You will be so glad to find that even at 10,11, & 12yrs of age Courtney has left a trail of smaller competitions like Open Mic (UK or England or Britain?) & others. She is staggeringly good taking on songs that many seasoned adult sings would sooner leave alone. Her Passion, Emotion, Timing, Total Commitment, Song Selection, Ferocity, Fearlessness, Integrity & Adorable Cuteness throughout will melt your heart. At the risk of giving you too much at once - 3 of my favourites of these just Georgeous moments are: "Say Something" Christine Aguilera (Shotton Hall, Public School) "I Can't Help Falling in Love With You" Elvis "Ironic" Alanis Morisette "Beautiful Me" Dappy But there are more! And every one is a revelation that COURTNEY HADWIN has always known what she is capable of - "Greatness, pure greatness!" Keep having fun - it is great entertainment. You might even be on a Courtney documentary one day! 😀👍❤❤❤

A real reaction... I get litterally this reaction as well... I just play the track many times.. sooo many thing to hear is like a modern movies that you have to even watch them in slow motion to see details.. This song is great with only a simple piano and guitar track.. This instrumentation simplicity and her vocal complexity is that makes this song great.

This performance alone should get her into the Rock and Roll Museum of Fame. I don't get why she doesn't have viral views on these cover sessions. Another knockout performance is her cover of ' Love Hurts ' by Miss Li , Courtney only plays the recording during a live session on social media when asked. Courtney t gently said she has recorded loads of songs, but so far its pretty much just sitting on some server disk drive. Courtney was 14/15 when the cover sessions were recorded, she is 17 now. Its time for her to break out!
