I think the Tiffany and Nica scenes were much more interesting this time around, but that's just because Chucky's in the beginning stages of his plan at the school.

Lexi seem likeable this season compared to the first and she really cares for Jake well being and basically Jake controls her since he did sent Chucky to go kill her at first so she had no choice to stick with Jake. And finally we gonna see Glen and Glenda in human form I'm surprise they have a sibling bond due to their differences.

This "might" explain why she's been getting crazier and more ruthless as the franchise progressed. This is probably her character developement. But instead of moving up, she's going down. By starting off as a calm, but still murderous, femme fatale who likes to be creative with her kills that does have a little humanity left in her to a completely bloodthirsty psychopathic madwoman.

5:24 I guess Nica's going a dark "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" route where even though Chucky crippled her in the womb, killed her family and framed her for it and later possessed her she's willing to do anything to get away from Tiffany.

It goes to show that Tiffany has become far worse than Chucky ever could.

  • @Tygermite
    @Tygermite Жыл бұрын

It's true. Tiffany has especially shown she's a lot more complex in Seed, which is ironic. She's a nutcase, yes, but she does have some sense of morality. She was the first to decide not to kill anymore for Glenn. She also clearly has a soft spot for kids so she really started to grow out of character as the franchise progressed. If they're trying to make Tiffany scary, it's working. But Tiffany has never been the scary type. She was always the less scary but more creative with her kills between her and Chucky. Also, I feel the Nica and Tiffany scenes were great. I got some serious Misery vibes from those scenes and I loved it. And the idea of Nica teaming up with Chucky to get revenge on Tiffany is a really exciting plot. I can tell Season 2 will be great!

Yeah, I noticed in a rewatch of Bride of Chucky that Tiffany for some reason is a little silly in her flesh but when she's in the doll her personality is more serious. And they definitely dialed her up since then as you said. Funny enough, in the flashback from season 1, she was like her original portrayal but in the present she's like boarding mental disability. Maybe they just want the doll to be more menacing or maybe she just feels happier in the flesh since she never wanted to be a doll but in this series, it's a bit jarring.

I agree about Jennifer Tilly being a bit much, but the funny thing is that the more interviews I see her in, the more this over-the‐top version of Tiffany as Jennifer Tilly makes sense. Makes me wonder if the problem is the character being TOO Jennifer Tillish and not enough Tiffanese.

I think episode 2 was way better than first one. I'm really glad this took a really good approach by staying more focused while also adding little plot points to look forward to through the show. Less horror references too 🤣,that was my biggest negative last episode. Instead I loved the Jennifer Tilly marathon reference where they played Liar Liar. I'm really hoping this season kicks off stronger than it started, because now Glen and Glenda are finally here!!!!!!

I'm pretty much fine with the whole campiness regarding Tiffany. I mean she was never an absolute favorite of mine, so I didn't really mind what exactly they were gonna do with it...although in season 1 it felt iffy at first but I came around. Fiona is amazing as always! This episode was a lot better than episode 1, that's a given My question is...how did that doll head get in that bed..? And how did Chucky while taking over Nica know about it? P.s. I think at some point they are gonna explore sinister Gothic Tiffany more given what Tilly has posted on her Instagram

Lexy's roommate is the modern day Whitehurst. The nerd friend who finds out about Chucky. Surprised you didn't catch that. More of a nod o Child's Play 3 I think than to Harry Potter lol. But I really thought Andy broke into Tiffany's mansion and planted the Tiff doll. Because how tf else would it end up there? Andy was there. Unless I guess one of the other dolls did for some reason. That wasn't explained. I do love that Devon Sawa is back, such an underrated actor. Wish horror would stop killing his characters off lol. I do miss Dark Tiffany though. I don't get why she's just the comedic relief it seems. BUT not many would connect dots like I do. Summer, who played Alice, teased being in this season. Tiffany had told Nica that she's dead, but we never saw a dead body. Tiffany showed signs she had a soft spot for Alice at the end of cult. What if, Alice IS in this season and Summer's teases are correct and she's the key to getting Nica fully back while getting revenge on Chucky? I can see a returning Alice as a major surprise later on O.O. I mean the trailer did show us a bunch of chucky heads on sticks leading to some cabin in the woods. We'll see if my theory is correct.

It was cool to see Devon Sawa back for season 2 playing a different character. Despite Chucky I feel like Devon Sawa is the heart of this series so far and I enjoyed him as Jake's super asshole father character in the first season. I've always enjoyed Sawa since 1994 when he was a kid in Little Giants and in 1995 when he played the human version of Casper at the end.

I really dug Devon Sawa’s little Idle Hands joke. One of my fav horror comedies. This episode was MUCH better than last, I hope we’re on an upswing but I’m not getting my hopes too high, either. Also, I don’t LOVE Jennifer Tilly’s campiness, but I do think it adds to Tiffany becoming increasingly more unhinged. Like the way she babies Nica, it’s really inherently unsettling. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t but it’s not enough to deflect me.

The main thing that makes me think that it's not is Glenn / Glenda would be like 18 or 19 by now but they could just be posing as a younger student. What do you think?

Omg what you said about Jen Tilly is bang on!!! I kind of wish Chucky would officially kill Tiffany and the franchise takes on a darker tone. I want to be fucking terrified of Chucky like I was when I was a kid.

I´m Catholic and I felt offended. ...and I don´t care for this kind of stuff. Does Don Mancini know ANYTHING about the Catholic Curch or school? Or even bothered doing a little bit of research? In fact, I studied on a Catholic school with some Nuns giving class (80´s/90´s)...and, guess what? It was as a normal school as anything. The only difference being that we had to take a Religion class. There´s not this nonsense of being overly religious, making use of the Bible all the time, that everything is a sin... On the contrary, other religions are like that. I met people that weren´t allow to go to the movies, that they had to mention Jesus in every other word of a sentence, that they spent hours/days going to their temples and praying, that they aren´t allowed to eat red meat, they can´t listen to any music unless it´s Christian, they aren´t allowed to give or receive blood transfusions, women have to wear long skirts... Being a Catholic means that you´re allow to live just like any other person in the world and just have to go to Church once during the Weekend. The representation of Catholics/Catholic school here seems like one prior the 1950s less alone one of 2022. And the line of "Catholic´s aren´t cool with gays"...I´m not going to say that they don´t have issues with that but it´s just that issues. They´re very aware of the situation and steps have being made towards acceptance. Again, it´s other religions who believe gays are sinners and are going to Hell. In fact, the first thing they´ll say to you is something on the lines of: "In the Bible is stated that God created man and woman to multiply". ...And, what the heck happened to Devon? When the Nun told him he was underweight and he replies thanks, kind of in a flamboyant way...He was never shown to be like that. Also, I hope they don´t keep showing them as a couple because it doesn´t work. Either the actors don´t have chemistry or they just can´t handle the material. Together they feel extremely forced.

Don Mancini grew up catholic which highly contributes to this season, so far I think the Catholics seem like nice people and so far they aren’t homophobic

@@grace13579 Thanks for letting me know that. If you haven´t told me I wouldn´t have believed it because this seems written either by someone who isn´t Catholic or is trying to make a parody of it. In any case, to say that Catholic schools act this way in present time is extremely hard to swallow.

@@justicierodelaliga yea I agree that most religious schools are just like any one school except for one or two religious class and sometimes services (I personally went to a Jewish school) but this school is supposed to be for juvenile delinquents instead of an actual juvenile detention center

one of the teachers even told Lexi that she doesn't have to worry about Jake & Devon because they are fine with it and there hasn't been any hint of homophobia from anybody in the school yet besides Jake & Devon realistically potentially being worried about it being a problem which made Jake suggest they chill on showing public romantic feelings for each other until further notice.

Well, I DO know that Catholic girls need to come out...and not wait, 'cause in general? They start much too late. And you know what they say? That there's a Heaven...for those who will wait. *Some* say it's better, but me? I say it ain't. Personally, I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints... 😁😝😉
