_Suspiria_ has a much better final third - _The Howling_ has a better 3rd act - _An American Werewolf in London_ has a great finale - _A Bay of Blood_ (Hello?) - _Tenebre_ calling! - I could go on for some time... _Child's Play 2_ has quite a line to stand in. It's just a Good ending. And it only gets good once they get into the Doll Factory.

@@Henrykrinkle5: That's how I always felt. I didn't dig the military school thing either. I thought there was a drop of quality with 2, but an even bigger drop for 3. Didn't care for the new Andy either. I don't "hate" it like I do Seed of Chucky. But respect the opinion of those who really enjoyed it.

one of my favorite scenes from Child's Play 3 is when the general, in his entire military uniform, is carrying Chucky by the hair and the doll slowly turns to face Andy. just that contrast of something as serious as the military and something as creepy as a killer doll mesh well together. love it.

I’ve never understood the hate for Child’s Play 3, since the first time I’ve watched it I’ve always enjoyed it.

One thing I love about the foster care house being creepy is that it shows the discomfort feeling that you're not home and you are not as safe as you would like to be. That was the feeling I got a lot in foster care so I get that feeling 100%

I rented the first child’s play this weekend. Never saw any of them. Not scary at all but I love the camp factor and I LOVE Chucky. He seems to be a great character. I got the box set plus the remake. I’m excited to watch all of these films. I love the red headed bastard after just watching the first film. 👍

Cody has me on a Child’s Play high right now with all this content. Btw I didn’t even know people hated Child’s Play 3 until you mentioned it in your last ranking. I love it.

All I know is that the original is better than 4th, the remake is better than 6th, and 3 is worse than 3rd. The only reason Cody loves this movie is because of nostalgia and the way the movie makes him recall falling in love with horror. He even says this movie got him into slashers....there’s just no criteria where part 3 is better than the original.

I knew the original wouldn't make number 1 but ranked behind part 3? Come on man lol

Omg I love you. I love that you put Bride of Chucky up so high! It's my personal favorite.

8. Cult of chucky - Liked it on the first watch but the second time it felt like a 3 hour movie and was a chore to get through 7. Child’s play 3 - Pretty middle of the road for me. Military setting just doesn’t interest me 6. Curse of chucky - Loved the dark tone they brought back to the franchise. Fiona was great in the movie. Just needed a little more of chucky being chucky 5. The original - For pretty much the same reasons everyone else likes it 4. Seed of chucky - I’ve always had an absolute blast watching this movie. It’s kinda like a B version of bride. I like all the back and forth that chucky and Tiffany have in the movie and how they try to quit killing but keep slipping up. Glen/Glenda doesn’t ruin the movie for me 3. The remake - I really liked the reimagining of chucky in this. His look isn’t as good as the original doll but I think he looks much creepier and the way he acted just added to the creepiness and the scene where Andy was asleep...fucking creepy as heck 2. Child’s play 2 - Pretty much the same reasons you said. It’s chucky fully realized, the sister character was a great addition and the third act is awesome 1. Bride of chucky - Probably the best chucky has been in all the movies. Tiffany was an awesome character in Human and doll form. The comedy was on point and the soundtrack was great

I agree with you 100% except I do prefer Bride a bit over 2, I actually attempted to make a Tiffany doll then, didnt work well but I still made a giant mess and had fun. Great video! Can't wait for the other rankings!

For me, Chucky is at his funniest in child's play 3. I love it when all the cadets are shooting each other in the woods and you can hear Chucky laughing his ass off, morbidly amusing. Funny as fuck.

Hi Cody! I completely understand the way you feel with Childs Play 3. I always watched the Halloween movies as a child with my mom. When Halloween 2018 came out me and my mom saw it in the theaters together. I was not a fan and was extremely disappointed but I can't hate the movie because it was just special to me that we got to see another one together.

Bride Of Chucky ranks very high for me. I seen it twice in theaters and loved the soundtrack as it introduced me to bands like Type O Negative and Coal Chamber.

Cody, Your rankings were so on point. For all the reasons you gave. Awesome!!! Out of curiousity I went to see Child's Play 2019. Went to see it. Wanting to hate it! But like you said. Once you get past the terrible design of the doll. It was Great!! I enjoyed it more than I planned to. And the friendship between Chucky & Andy. Really got to me. More than I want to admit. :)

This was hard to do because I genuinely enjoy each of them: 7. Seed of Chucky (I wish I could rank it higher, because I like it more than most people) 6. Bride of Chucky 5. Cult of Chucky 4. Child's Play 3 3. Child's Play 2. Child's Play 2 1. Curse of Chucky

the child's play remake is a stepping stone to Chucky's personality. The movie is about Chucky learning his environment to become a budding killer and in the sequel we might see Mark Hamill show more as awaiting surprises. To me, it feels like a warming up session to what is about to come.

Hey Cody Here’s my ranking and reasons: 1. Child’s Play 2 (I agree Chucky at his best. Fast paced, great kills and great finale) 2. Child’s Play (1988) (Great Into To Chucky, great direction by Tom Holland) 3. Child’s Play (2019) loved the new spin on Chucky. Glad they didn’t just copy the original. Very fun watching Chucky go to insane extremes to make his best friend happy. Lol 4. Curse of Chucky (I enjoyed the return to the darker Chucky after the series had gotten so comical) 5. Seed of Chucky ( ok hear me out. This is a guilty pleasure. After getting frustrated with the increasing amount of humor each movie was adding, with this one I was like “fine just go all out with the ridiculous absurdity” and I went with it. Yes very stupid but like I said A guilty pleasure.) 6. Cult of Chucky ( I enjoyed the weirdness of this entry and bizarre directions it went) 7. Bride of Chucky ( I just didn’t love the mix of dark and humorous in this one. I prefer it more dark like Curse or completely comical like Seed. I know it’s a fan favorite and I do still like all these movies. It’s just low on my list) 8. Child’s Play 3 ( I guess like a lot of people I didn’t love the military school setting or the older Andy. Didn’t really love the new lead kid either. Finale was good but rest was just ok)

@@therealCrazyJake I love all the Chucky movies it’s easily the best horror franchise. Seed is not that good of a movie, but I can enjoy it and it’s nowhere near Freddy’s Dead, Halloween Resurrection, or anything like that. Seed of Chucky looks like Jaws next to those movies

Thank you ! Child's Play 3 is sooooooooo underrated ! It's one of the best. I do not understand why it's hated on. It has the most badass Chucky theme as well. I thought the Kent Military School was an awesome setting.

You’re not alone. Child’s Play was also the reason why I got into horror. I saw the original film when I was 8 and it has stuck with me ever since.

Cody i was hesitant about childs play not being good because Brad dourif wasnt in it well holy shit i enjoyed the hell out of the remake might make my top few favorites

@@CelticFrost1979 A lot of people like the Tiffany character. I don't really care for her. I'm one who always preferred Chucky to be by himself. At the very least, though, this definitely should have been her only film.

chucky is my favorite horror franchise, i watched my first one at 8 when curse of chucky came out, i was scared from 8-11, my favorite is curse of chucky and my worst is seed of chucky but i like glen/glenda but dosen't make me like the movie

Yo Cody! Check out Dead Meats interview with Don and the cast of Chucky . Great insight . Great look into the mind of Don , give more credence to his choices over the years and shows that many of them were intentional . It’s just a great thing to watch before season 2 .

Ed Gale is the actor playing Chucky in the original when it's not a puppet. He also played Howard the Duck, the doll in Dolly Dearest and once doubled for Warwick Davis as Leprechaun when the Lep was on fire.

I saw this video and i immidiatly ( im Dutch, so don't know how to write that ) subscribed to your Channel. Love the video, and love your calm normaal way of speaking. Not excatterad ( how do you write that ? ) I love the Child's Play Franchise. Tonight im going to the New one. Im very excited. The worst one for me was cult. It looked cheap, story was confusing as hell, and when it was finished i was really dissapointed. Seed was weird. Love all the other ones

i would love to see a ranking on the best horror final acts that would be awesome

1. Child's Play- It's the original, great pacing, movie always goes by lightning quick. Great kills and surprises. 2. Child's Play 2- Pretty much a tie with the original, wish they would of kept the original mom or the cop in the film, but that new girl is good too. 3. Curse of Chucky- A great reboot to the franchise, back to basics. a bit slow pace, but the ending is killer (both of them) 4. Child's Play 3- it wasn't a bad film, nearly as good as the original 1 and 2 but the new barclay was a bit of a pussy. or looked like one. other then that nothing bad to say about it. 5. Bride of Chucky- too much humor for my taste, didn't care for the main good guys. 6. Cult of Chucky- i didn't mind most of the film, but wtf happened to the ending? if this is how it ends i'm very sad. i need to know what happens next. 7. Seed of Chucky- like bride, too much humor, too hollywood, reminds me of everything that was horrible about that time from the music, to tv shows. the worst. hated glen or glenda.
