Don Mancini needs people around him to say “no”. Or people to help rework some things. This series is so derivative of other franchises now that it doesn’t stand on its own anymore. The horror days are looooong gone here too. Hard to believe people were ever afraid of Chucky now.

The thing is Mancini doesn't want to feel trapped in a straight Horror universe so he keeps trying to go crazy or campy with it. Some of that can work however when you do episode after episode of the same or similar type of gags it simply starts to feel played out.

Well actually when you possess a human you take their voice, hence why you don’t have brad douriff voicing Nica/Dr. Mixer when they were Chucky. When you possess (or repossess) a lifeless object like a doll you keep (or regain) your original voice so it does kinda make sense that ”GG” would go back to their original voice once they possessed the doll again. The voices of the human Glen and Glenda basically belong to the twins Jennifer gave birth to in seed. But I do kinda get you on the accent since they’ve basically spoken with an American accent their whole HUMAN lives.

Because When you possess a human you take their voice. when you possess a lifeless object like a doll, the doll will have your original voice. Remember Chucky went into Nica and we did not have Brad Dourif voicing That version of Chucky again until he went back into a good guy doll last episode. However I can see the confusion considering glen and Glenda transfer their souls into babies in seed, so you would kind of think that they would subconsciously return to the doll with their American accents but I guess that rule doesn’t apply.

This episode lacked a lot in my opinion. Personally, I liked what they were doing with the human version of Glen/Glenda. But now that they’re back in the doll and going backed to England, it’s presumed that we won’t see them anymore? Or barely. Which was a waste imo. They could’ve did more or at least something different with them. Another problem I had was that they kept claiming that this was the “last” Chucky, then minutes later would introduce a new one and then do the same thing over. It just felt really unnecessary There were times where I could see an interesting plot line emerging, but then it just got tossed away. Felt like there was unnecessary filler throughout the season. Writing was over the place, way too meta. Season was ok, but the writing was just poor

Something I find confusing about it is: how did Chucky know beforehand that Andy's aim was good enough that the bullet would hit the Good Guy doll? I know that a death had to happen, so Nadine dying was sensible, but I feel like we didn’t really get to know her aside from her helping Lexy through her problem. Also, I wish we got to know more about Dr. Mixter. We saw a very brief flashback, then we got nothing else about the backstory. My thoughts pretty much, the excuse "it's a killer doll show what do you expect" just doesn't cut it for me. So many plotlines in this season with no payoff, sloppy writing with no narrative of what it's trying to be, I don't get it. I mean we all know damn well Chucky ain't going nowhere but it's so unengaging when you make your villain a super genius who always has the upper hand, it just removes all stakes. It's so comical and not in the good way. I'm glad this show works for most people, I'm glad the franchise isn't dead, but it's doesn't mean it's always going to work.

Exactly my point, when the series own creator seem to hate his own product! What’s the point?! Don Mancini hates Chucky, he constantly makes a mockery out of it and plays it off as, “who cares it’s about a killer doll, it’s dumb anyways”. I’m done with this whole franchise. Don Mancini has ruined it for me. Thanks for your honest opinion Cody.

Personally, I can’t take the Chucky franchise seriously especially after Child’s Play 3. The series is campy horror, barley any stakes just chaos and fun. I’m also in the minority who really enjoys Seed of Chucky which means I really enjoyed Season 2 even though it was inferior to Season 1 but definitely a lot more chaotic and unpredictable while being incoherent with the plot at times. Back in the day -Bride of Chucky, and most of the original films I think, all you had to do was have a piece of chucky possessed doll parts and you can put him back together. Then the heart thing. Now it has to be a certain doll like a Belle doll. Then more rules were taken and added. If it had to make sense, the story would have been over long ago. SO in other words, there will always be a way to bring back Chucky.

I feel like last week's episode could have and should have been the season finale with how it actually felt like one, to me anyway. This episode seemed to drag on without much of anything really happening until the final fifteen minutes or so like Cody said and the twist with Lexy's sister as well as Chucky having been the Belle doll were as if the writers through thoughts at a board, saw what stuck, and said "Lets do it!". Overall I enjoyed the season, and this is coming from someone who cites "Seed of Chucky" as the weakest if the franchise, but this finale really didn't do it for me. If anything, it almost felt like the opening to another season instead of a conclusion to one.

How did Chucky know beforehand that Andy's aim was good enough to hit the Good Guy doll? Andy easily could've missed, with the bullet firing into the old lady instead. I liked the Christmas atmosphere, i liked seeing the Glen doll again, and especially with Billy Boyd's voice, i liked the chainsaw kill, perhaps the best klll of the season and maybe even one of the best kills in the franchise, the twist at the end was absurd but still kinda cool. And yes, i liked the voodoo for dummies book, nice little easter egg. Now what i didn't like: i didn't get to see how Andy and Kyle's stories wrap up, what happened to them?! Then, if Jake, Devon and Lexie were seemingly prepared for Chucky's return, why did they let the mom die ?! Couldn't they warn her or smth? And yes,the twist was still absurd. Yeah- this whole season was a roller coaster of emotions for me- but mostly feeling dread and confusion- Although I did find some parts a bit funny and may be interesting, other than that it just does not feel like Chucky, ya know???? Like I feel like this whole season was missing something like there was a lack of something. It’s like there’s a missing part of Chucky.. I wish we could have a mixture of him serious but could have lighter tones- Big part of why I love Chucky was his big personality- where he can be serious but Says the right lighthearted joke right there and then- ending up being very iconic lines something very rememberable- but the whole split up of Chucky’s It’s so all over the place I know Don always wanted to do that since child’s play two but of course didn’t have the budget for it- I just feel like it could’ve been written a lot more differently or have some ground rules or something interesting like for example Prime chucky-Prime Chucky he is the one we love and know- he probably found out a new spell and testing out by splitting his soul with one good guy doll- it works out however I feel like that one clone is splitting his soul into more good guys so the more clones the more it’s less Chucky because of the different personalities and the lack of a soul- Which would explain why all of the multiple Chuckys are so easy to kill because they are not the prime Chucky. So it would be nice if they explained the flaw of the spell having some sort of rules or complications The prime Chucky is the head that Andy kept and even though he is like literally a head, he was still alive- I know it seems that The head is dead but a gut feeling does tell me they might bring him back at some point probably do one of those put him back together sort of situation kind of similar to Frankenstein’s monster - because the “crumbs” in the woods that Lexi and Devon went , those were just pieces of dead Chuckys so perhaps somebody or something will put him back together if that’s the case it would definitely bring back the nostalgia of bribe of Chucky- however if they were to bring him back which is very low but very likely I really want him to be serious- I like the idea of chucky being just calm but more sinister making him a lot more threatening and scary because we don’t know his intentions most of the time- But of course there will be that off time he would say something funny but it’s light humour it’s nothing crazy - It would’ve been nice if there was a lot more rules- basically pros and cons to the situation- besides that everyone was done dirty this season-and I really hope in season three they would actually write everyone better and write the plot better but knowing Don I don’t know how that’s going to work 💔

Don needs to go. I respect everything Don has done for this franchise, but after stomaching the terror of 2 season 2, his vision isn't what the franchise needs. Season 2 had the potential to be great, they could have followed up on the plotline of the 72 Chucky dolls, but nope, it was scrapped. This season introduced a new character or concept every other episode only to disregard it or scrap it the next episode. Chucky feels like an afterthought the majority of this season, his deaths are meaningless, and the whole idea of multiple Chucky's was executed poorly by Don. The Glen/da plot was rushed and was given a poor conclusion. I wouldn't be shocked if the show isn't renewed for a third season -- and why should it be? We got eight episodes of pure garbage that couldn't follow basic plot and structure every episode. How is Andy hobbing around on an untreated flesh wound? He's never received medical attention after being tortured for over a year and probably has gangrene in that leg. Nothing makes sense. This whole season made no sense.
