Since 1998, there have been over 80 Marvel movies and shows, and ALL OF THEM could come back as references in Deadpool & Wolverine. The MCU, the Fox X-Men franchise, the Blade trilogy, the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy, the Fantastic Four films, the Daredevil films, the Netflix Marvel series, Agents of SHIELD… it’s all too much to catch up on, so which of them do we NEED to rewatch and know about before watching Deadpool & Wolverine? Erik Voss gives a complete recap / primer / explanation of the full history of Marvel in film, from the early days of Blade in 1998 and Kevin Feige meeting Hugh Jackman while working on X-Men (2000). Included at the end of this recap: a CHEAT SHEET of the THREE MOVIES you must make time to rewatch before going into Deadpool & Wolverine (2024).

Great recap video. Excited to see Deadpool & Wolverine opening weekend! :D
Should have mentioned the 94 Fantastic Four as well. Even though it never officially released its complete online now so it’s not off limits to be referenced. It’s also still a part of marvel history, as well as the 78 Doctor Strange film
Finished rewatching all xmen & DP films

I didn't even get the notification for this video. But here we are in the 10th minute

My family was also the first on our street to have the Internet. I was 4 years old when I first started using Oracle, then we got AOL, and I forever have the dial up memorized and can imitate it on request. But my favorite was the Floppy Disk Wheel of Fortune Game. Only colors were neon pink, neon green, and yellow. And it was glorious.
Broo, watching this video gives me the biggest nostalgia with specific MCU movies- I tend to forget the love and appreciation and nostalgia that I felt for the MCU growing up 💙☺️ we came a long way-

This was a great video, thanks for making us preparred for the upcoming movie. But this also made me think it could be awesome if you made a serie, of which movie's do one need to watch, if one want to watch the full story of a charecter.
Doing all of this in 30 minutes is crazy. Well done.
I’m just going to watch this recap before D&W. I don't have time to watch anything else
As someone who's been in and out of the MCU I need this haha
I have waited for this☝️
What an incredible script and analysis. Thanks all at NR
I watched your video where you said you were gonna do this particular video, and I was like, how the heck are you gonna do that, thats alot of stuff but you did and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
"Marvels Past" would also include HOWARD THE DUCK !!!
We need more Jessica Jones 😍💪🏽💥
Wow great work on this and thank you
It seems to me that the Xavier in Multiverse of Madness and the Wolverine of Deadpool and Wolverine would be from the same universe-- which appears to be the universe of the X-Men animated series. I am basing this almost entirely on the look of each character in addition to the way Patrick Stewart's Xavier in MoM pressed one hand to his temple and extended the other-- which is how the Xavier in the animated series is portayed (Universe 92131 [I think]). If anyone has any thoughts that might be contradicting or supporting, please share!
Thank you for the set up
I need this as a 6 hour video
Correction: Loki from universe 616 died killed by Thanos, Loki from the 'Loki series' is not from 616 universe
Thank you for this 🔥🔥🔥
Hi
I think it’d be so funny if there was a David Hasselhoff cameo with him as Nick Fury from the 1998 movie. lol would love to see it

Great timing for this video! I rewatched "Deadpool" & "Deadpool 2" last night. So I'll rewatch "X-men"(2000) & "Logan" too. Enjoyable "homework"!
Wow, had to watch that is .75 speed, haha. Great video and can't wait for Deadpool and Wolverine
I love that you know all of the universes.
One of the best recaps out there !
This is exactly why Spiderman 4 needs to be the animated series Sins of the Father storyline meets Beyond the Spiderverse… introduce Ned as Hobgoblin, Time Dilation Projector, and Tom Hollands and Zendeya switch places with Miles as it takes us all back to the 1st Spiderverse story and just step into the cross over of live action animation the way Spiderverse 2 did

J Jonah Jameson knows of Dr. Strange in the Ramiverse! It tracks! And if Venom is already there, it could be the thing Miguel was trying to forbid by Miles existence… enter the Spot… Sinister Strange was with Darkhold and lived to fight our MCU Strange. But did his universe fight Thanos and our Strange see he lost the RIP Micheal Clark Duncan Kingpin from Afflecks Daredevil?

11:04 they should find a way to make a trait of 199999 is everyone from that universe thinks they are in 616. Like address it in the comics. Just a line like "Did you know 199999 is claiming they're 616?" In a multiverse story said by literally anyone

Also they confirm the timeline/universe code as 10005 in Deadpool & Wolverine
If origins wolverine is 1979 That means x1,x2,x3 should be in 1995 Because they mention 15 years have passed since Wolverine lost his memory
