Chronograph and the .45s

I finally got a decent chronograph and I decided to test it out a bit tonight, and put the cameras on it so you could see, too. This video is definitely in the "phone it in" category, but I hope you like it in spite of my minimal effort. ;-)

    Great video with no frills. The German made 22 was odd for sure. It has an extractor similar to the single shot bolt action my dad had as a kid. It was a ''Geco Carabiner" patent date 1912 if my memory is correct. Dad said it shot harder than any 22 he ever used including the Win 63 he bought new in 1946. I always thought we should get it out and see how deep a bullet really goes.

    People are mentioning the polygonal barrels in Glock, but also... The 1911's are 5" barrels, the Glock is 4.6", im not sure about the revolver, but looks to be 5 or 6". Obviously the longer barrels will have greater ballistics.

Why they modified the 1911 to the "A-1" version...didn't help me, so I put a Commander hammer and beavertail on my M-1927 Argentine .45. • @keithjurena9319
    @keithjurena931910 ай бұрын

    Internal ballistics for pistol calibers, especially lower pressure rounds, hinges on the first fraction of an inch of bullet movement. Many low pressure rounds fail to ignite all propellant due to low pressure. Pressure and heat are synonymous. Without pressure over 35 ksi, there will be unburned granules. This is why bullet setback can cause over pressure in pistols where it usually reduces pressure in rifle.

    #1 alecb did not pull the trigger. Actors don't lie! #2 A thousand people tried to get the rev tool to fire on it's own and turns out it only can be controlled by the mind of alecb. Pointing hand tools at the director is normal! #3 spinning the cylinder causes premature finish wear but who wants a brand new tool anyway? Have a mechanic buddy who carries always. He bought a polymer 80 for his g-machine because the right side of the grip wore through from him dragging himself on concrete under vehicles.

    If the wheelgun is a Colt clone...then the cylinder will align with the gate by just spinning it past then back and the hand will catch it in just the right place to punch out the empty. Can do it blindfolded. Wondering what ammo was being used? Over 1000 fps is high for 230 ball while the Glock numbers more in line with what we see most of the time though high 800's still up there for 230's. Maybe the Tisas is really tight bored? Would be curious to see the empties and how the primers look. I've had a tight chambered pistol here and there that would show pressure with ammo that didn't in every other gun and corresponding higher velocity. Good to see a Serbu video come up!

    Yeah, Glocks, slightly over bored, slightly over chambered to enhance reliability, not accuracy. They're kinda like 10-22's, a great platform that needs a bunch of aftermarket parts to get them where they should be (I've a 10-22 that now shoots dime sized groups at 60yds) . Glock owners accept that, sadly. I consider Glocks to be very good 15 yd guns with a weird grip angle. Get yourself a .45 ACP with a good beavertail, you'll never worry about hammer bite and because of that, your accuracy will improve.
